Amazing food and lovely place! The pie and the sticky toffee pudding were amazing.

Nice food, tables and staff. Sat outside so cannot say what the atmosphere was like inside, however it was very busy which was probably the reason why our food took a long time and we were given another tables food!

Top end plates and very reasonable prices can be expected. Great service and busy as would be expected from a pub producing almost fine dining quality meals. Excellent

We booked a table after reading the reviews online. What a fantastic find! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed 3 courses of superb food and were amazed at how busy the restaurant was for a Wednesday evening. It had a lovely atmosphere which was complimented by friendly, enthusiastic and professional staff. We immediately booked a return visit for the following evening. The only disappointment was the distance from our home in Newcastle-upon-Tyne....we will have to make a return visit to Cobham! We will be certainly returning to the Old Plough when we do.

Was in the area & needed a place for dinner. So glad I found this place. Lots of outdoor space, great food, & has its own parking area in the back. Highly recommend.

Had a great time at The Old Plough. The fish and chips was absolutely excellent. Top marks for service and environment as well. Look forward to going back.

We have a late xmas lunch. Staff are nice and food is good despite limited vegan options. Only downside is there is no much space at the bar and if you want to have a drink before your meal (or after) you will very likely have to stand in a very crowded small area close to the entrance.

Excellent sunday lunch ..carrot and ginger soup plus roast lamb or beef. A very popular venue ....book early. Sitting outside was an issue due to flies and wasps. Great staff good value. I will return as long as I can get seat inside.!

Visited here on a busy Sunday late afternoon. It was VERY busy, so chaotic. Food was good, but not without issues. We had the 2 courses for set price and the fishcake was all potato, zero fish. Roast was nice, very big, but good value. Sticky toffee pud was the best dessert. Would visit again perhaps on a quieter night.

Lovely Sunday Lunch. Food was fresh, hot, home made and all really tasty. Excellent prawn and cod croquettes. I was impressed by the variety of vegetables in the side dish that was served with my roast beef dinner. Well done!

Two celebratory lunches here within the week! So good the first time we knew where we were going the second! Really interesting menu that lived up to expectations.... scrumptious freshly cooked food which arrived so speedily even though they were really busy. Excellent service ..The barn in the spacious garden area was a great place for a party . Really nice cosy open fire bar and attractive, relaxed dining room. The Old Plough will definitely be our first choice from now on....I hope we can get a table!

Nice meal. Wife had the Crouquette and the Schnizel, I had the haddock smoked starter and the Mackrell special. The smoked mackerel starter was the best. The Crouquete is simple and creamy. The schnizel was very nice but maybe a touch greasy. The truffle fries are a bit heavy. The Mackrell and soy noodle was a little salty for me, maybe I should have gotten something else. Service from the young ladies was very attentive and consistent/reliable. All round good night out.

Seated outside but sheltered. This place is so busy! Restaurant inside is rammed and noisy so outside was a good choice! Darcy was our waitress, she is brilliant, very attentive and pretty!

We visited on a hot and busy Sunday afternoon for a 30th birthday meal . We had a large table with many dietary requirements . This did not phase the chef at all , the food all came out correctly according to the dietaries we had . The food was delicious , I would highly recommend visiting the Old Plough . A special thank you to the chef for catering to all our dietaries . The staff went above and beyond, a special mention to Ago and Donna who were amazing. We can’t wait to go back to visit again , highly recommend! Beautiful location too !

Popped in for lunch with my toddler. Not offered a menu. So I ordered standard fare from pubs. Sausage and chips. No children's portions apparently. Two soft drinks Β£37 What happened to pub prices? Ho hum. The place is busy so I guess people are paying Two barmen. One, the type without any hair I asked for a high chair. Not too much to ask normally He surveyed a room full of pensioners. "not sure if we have one" he said. Perhaps they use it for firewood? He said he would look. Then he promptly forgot this simple request. Poor training or simple minded? I go for both Meal of spectacularly average quality, given the price. Asked. For water from another lanky barman. Again no smiles. No welcoming attitude. He. Plonked. The water down as if he had built the pyramids. Even though the total yardage taken to perform this simple act was about two All in all an unwelcoming experience. Entitled barmen. Expensive fare Happy to give it a miss in favour of the friendly pub landlord with a smile over the microwave

Photos would not have done justice to food served to our circular table of 7. They were brilliant, as was service and atmosphere. It was busy, yet staff worked tirelessly to ensure our evening went smoothly. Pub is magical - cosy, country, homely feel. Highly recommended.

Popped in at around 2pm on a Saturday for a late lunch. Six Nations rugby was on and both the bar and restaurant were very busy. Despite that, a table for two was found by the friendly attentive staff. We both had fish and chips and it was the best fish and chips I’ve had for some time. The batter was light and crispy and two pieces of chunky cod. Chips were thick cut with skin on, again very tasty. Will definitely be back here to try more on the menu!

Waitress was very attentive and the food was really good apart from the chips which I found a bit bland and a little over cooked. Nice place for a family get together. I would say booking is needed as was busy at weekend lunch time

One of the best restaurant experiences in a long time. We didn't check up if this restaurant has won awards or Michelin stars or something (they should), but crackers that was top chef cuisine we got there. My husband I had the daily special, chargrilled lamb steak with potato gratin and carrots.. the carrots. I've never been a fan of these but how on earth so delicious. No, this isn't a paid review, we're just a week after we returned from our holiday to England, visited Goodwood FoS in between and still this visit to The Old Plough is one of my top memories of our holiday. Beyond excellent. Thanks so much !! *The photo's I attached are from the daily menu and the first minute my plate was served, I first had to taste the lamb. So tasty. The photo's aren't great, luckily the food is 😁

We have been a few times from where we live in Wimbledon, sometimes with visiting friends etc, and never been disappointed. Very good food, all served with a smile. Good to have a dependable pub within sensible driving distance...

Great Sunday lunch here. Really nice place and friendly staff. Had the ham hock to start, which was delicious accompanies by some tasty pickles and fresh toast. Main was the roast pork belly, which was not too fatty and came with some nice fresh veg. My partner had the roast beef, which was cooked just right, nicely pink.

Overall it was fine. Not too impressed with fresh fruit salad as it came with sorbet so I suppose I could have asked not to have it. Too squashed in a small dessert dish. Overpriced. Swordfish really good. Best I've ever had. Attentive service.

This is a lovely spot. Plenty of parking. Nice outdoor dining areas. One under cover called the potting shed where reservations are required. There is a lawned area with benches for drinks only. I had the rump steak medium rare and it was cooked that way. It was excellent. The pork tenderloin dish was nice, but could have been cooked a little less which would have made it more juicy. However two in the party had fish and chips. They both said it was awful. Loads of batter and not much fish. The fish was oily and dry and the chips overcooked. The brownie dessert was delicious. Service was good. Unfortunately just let down by the fish and chips.

Tasty starters (duck terrine, cod croquettes). Also very good roasts (chick, lamb) potatoes were crispy. All good portions. 50min drive for me, but I will come again.

Great food, no service! Didn't have explained that by sitting in the bar area we had to order our drinks and food from the bar...then it took forever to get the bill and for the server to take our money...πŸ‘Žbadly done in what is usually a brilliant pub - also we didn't get the table we reserved so 6 of us squashed around a table for 4 - will still go again but very disappointed this time
