Great outdoor space, very friendly to dog owners and families with young children as they even have a space for the little ones to keep themselves busy while adults can enjoy a nice, cold drink! The food is nice, average priced. Bit disappointed, no cocktails in the menu, even basic ones but maybe that is to be expected for a pub? We had a great time!

We just had our wedding reception at the Charles holden pub and what a fabulous day it was. We reserved the outside bar and gazebo which was plenty of space for our guests. We had lovely tapas and then mains of fish and chips, beef burger and the mushroom burger which were all delicious and decent size portions. A special shout out to Hannah, Ben and Patrick for helping to organise everything and making sure the day ran smoothly.

Staff are good. Food so-so, roast beef was ok but nothing special. Although to be fair is priced at about £6-7 less than that in Wimbledon or Balham/Clapham, for example. I'd direct anyone seeking a good Sunday roast in SW London to the Cyclist in Balham, or Jolly Gardeners in Earlsfied.

Patiently waited at the bar, ready to order Sunday lunch and a drink. Staff first served others that arrived after me, so I left and went elsewhere. I figured a competitor would be more deserving of my money and I might also get served quicker.

Price have gone up. Spent a lot on a glass of wine and a very small portion salad. It was like £18 for a small salad. This our local. We know the pandemic as effected everyone and businesses especially, but it's a huge put off

Menu online didn't quite match what was available on the day. Staff were friendly and explained delays. Food was well presented, the right temperature and delicious.

Friendly staff, easy to book a table for a large family (11). The Sunday roasts were good value and presented well but all were lukewarm when they arrived and the staff started clearing the plates when some of the family were still eating. Wines were good and lovely desserts on offer.

Amazing garden space behind the classic Pub. Great food with outdoor kitchen. Garden could do with tidy up, but was very busy. Handy local opposite the tube station.

Good place for a Sunday roast with the family. Nice big garden, pet friendly. Food tasty and reasonably priced.

Lovely Pub, sadly this place used to be really good in terms of food, they have a few options that are ok, but some things like their salad, is a plate of 4 leaves a tomatoe some fancy dressing and its just well over priced! also ordered a glass of wine which was tiny for quite a lot of money :(

Nice big pub with a large beer garden. Nice bar staff and the Guinness was excellent. Apparently the Tribute was very good as well. Didn't eat but the food looked good. There even seems to be a dedicated kiddies play area as well with some toys available.

Great pub and garden and lovely staff. However went for dinner recently and was very very disappointed by the food. Sausages were not very nice and mash had chunks of raw (not fried off so very raw/ sharp) onion and parsley. Such a shame as we love it when not eating :)

Without being rude to the owners and premises I didn't expect much. Pie and pint deal excellent at £15.50 and could substitute wine for beer. Food was excellent. Don't judge a book by the cover. I would return if visiting London.

Friendly pub with a great selection of beers and a spacious beer garden. The food quality is okay, but not adequate to the price hence only 4stars

A group of friends and I went to watch England playing in the World Cup. There are TVS all over the place and you can watch the matches indoors also outdoors. The staff is helpful and the food is ok. We tried the Spice wins which was very hot but yummy!

Went to the Charles Holden to watch the Rugby World Cup final. I had made a mistake with my booking and the staff were incredibly helpful. Thankfully they arranged a table for us and we had the best time. Great service and great atmosphere.

Over visiting my Daughter and her Partner so popped in for a few scoops only. Staff were great and chatty. Didn't have food but my Daughter and friends have been a few times and said it's well worth a visit.

Just started visiting this pub. I live in Wimbledon and now travel here. The outside space beats anywhere in Wimbledon and the food is great. Just had pesto pasta - agree with other reviews not cheap but very good, perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients. The combination of setting and food makes it worth it. Great place.

The good old days of the Charles Holden are sadly well in the rear view mirror. What used to be a well run pub with great staff is now an exercise in mediocrity staffed by a team who generally seem confused by the concept of hospitality and lacking in interest in doing a good (or even passable) job. The food was sad, luke warm, and generally pretty disappointing. Our Camembert had been microwaved instead of baked. The chicken wings were dry and completely drowned in hot sauce and my burger was sent back as it had clearly been sat under a heat lamp for at least 20 minutes (as the starters were delivered to the table we were asked if we wanted the rest of our food to be brought over now... the lady taking our order had already double checked with us that we didn't want all the food at the same time. I guess the word starters on the menu must have meant something different?!) The coleslaw on the side of my burger was actually cooked it had sat under a heat lamp for so long... not pleasant to be served cooked cabbage in a translucent mayo... Watching the staff work it is clear there is no guidance from the landlord and no care for their guests. If you just want a pint and to be ignored then the CH is worth a visit, but please for the love of god don't go there expecting good food or good service, you will only leave disappointed

Good service, and a very decent sized outdoor space. Food was delivered quickly and was well done overall I can't fault it. Drink options were also very good with a number of regional pints on tap and your normal lagers on draft as well.

The Charles Holden is a BEAUTIFUL pub. The staff are all absolutely lovely and you can tell they love working there. The pub is good for families, they even brought colours to the table for my 2 year old. They have a beautiful beer garden adjacent to the Wandle Park, which makes it feel like you're not even in the city! Love it! My favourite pub of all times!

The staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic. Patti loved the fish and chips (haddock )😁. I had Scotch Bonnet wings (medium heat). Right across from our Underground station.

We have stuck by the Charles Holden over the last few years despite several issues (cold Sunday roasts, and issues with service) as it’s generally a cosy and friendly pub. Todays visit really warrants a review as something needs to be done about the online ordering system. We arrived for lunch and were told the printer wasn’t working so there were no printed menus. Not a problem- we were told to order via the QR code which we did. After waiting for 40 minutes in an empty pub, decided to ask at the bar staff if our lunch was coming soon. We were informed the order hadn’t come through. This is the second time this has happened to us here. We had to leave to get back to work so we have left hungry, and now awaiting a refund as there was no staff member available to process this for us. Don’t know what’s going on with the drinks pricing either - £9.45 for a lager shandy and orange & lemonade is pretty steep to me! What a waste of time and money. We won’t be back in a hurry for drinks and I think we’ve now given up on trying to get a decent meal here.

We made a booking for 2:30 on a Sunday aiming to go for a roast. We walked in and hung around by the door for a few minutes whilst several members of staff milled around behind the bar, eventually we had to flag someone down to be told our table was round the corner. This was just some armchairs, so we had to try and ask to be moved to somewhere we could eat. From there we still had to try and order from an app, only to see there was no roasts listed. After asking at the bar they were already out, which might have been nice to be told when we walked in having made a reservation for food.

Amazing pub, great service and excellent staff! My friends & I had a great night in the Charles Holden. Good variety of drinks & food. I unfortunately left my bag there and as I live far away, they kindly agreed to post it back to me (I paid the expenses for the postage of course). However, I am so thankful they were able to do this for me! Look forward to going back already! Thanks again guys!

The food in here was absolutely fantastic, the service was great and the atmosphere was really bubbling. The only downsides are that the app you have to use to order was not particularly user friendly at all, and the patio heaters outside weren't working. The food is definitely a cut above what you would expect in your average pub, fantastic flavours really well executed.

Bit of hidden gem a little outside of the bustling areas of tooting and Wimbledon which means you can usually get a reservation. The outdoor area is large and has a great atmosphere for groups with kids and without throughout the year. The roast is the best around (and we have tried most). Prices aren't cheap but in line with other pubs in the area for a better product in our view. Support local! Keep up the good work team!

Great pub cacross the road from Colliers Wood tube station. It's clean and has friendly staff. A definite pick if you want to watch sport, especially any rugby games featuring the Sprinboks.

    Nice Garden.. helpful staff

Setting in the garden is really nice, easy to order on the app and the timings aren't bad at all. Staff were also very nice! Only downside is the price, its expensive! Central central London prices, especially for food and soft drinks. Bring those prices down just a little and your guys are onto a winner!
