Lovely room, quiet, comfy bed, had a few problems though. Door lock broken and no hot water being the main ones. The staff member on duty found everything very funny and went into long explanations about why things didn't work as they should, I just needed a solution. Eventually the boiler was re started and I had warm water (still not hot) at night but not the following morning. Housekeeping kindly provided Oat Milk, as requested, rather than dairy in my room, that was a lovely touch but no homemade treat as promised, receptionist also found this funny (it's not a big deal, but seriously, just go and get one for the guest!). If you are Covid concerned, then again expect to be mocked for wearing a mask or standing back. I really hoped to be leaving a glowing review as the room was so lovely, a great size, large bed, Nespresso machine etc., but sadly the service has let this establishment down.

I really liked this pub hotel, the staff was friendly in a kind of nice family way, the room was excellent and the location literally next to Wandsworth Town station was perfect. They also provide fresh milk in a little glass bottle to the room. It was a smaller detail that I personally really appreciated.

The staff were all helpful & happy The breakfasts were delicious cooked perfectly-great choice and continental was lovely too. Rooms were gorgeous clean and had everything needed& more-bathroom was just the best roomy clean and the products to use were really lovely’ of a high quality Beds were comfy & slept fantastically well) Location was good as out of the city but able to get around easily as the hotel is located directly opposite the tube station. We didn’t use the train but we will when next go (on a very tight schedule) All in all I will be back to stay at this gem of hotel - loved every minute- thanks

First let me start with Jason at the front desk. I’ve travelled the world, I’ve stayed at a 1000 nice hotels and nobody that works the front desk has done more for me. He’s gone from helping us with our room, helping us with the tv, he’s given the best recommendations and honestly he’s just been the best person to have around. I’ve never been to London and he’s 100% made my girl friend and I feel right at home. I will be coming back for the service alone. The pub is absolutely amazing, the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The only thing I wish they had was a channel list but then again nobody should be watching tv in London they should be exploring it! Seriously this place is a gem, we’re so happy that we booked our trip here. Will be coming back 1000%! Thanks to Jason and thanks to the Alma Hotel, for our wonderful stay.

NIC is by far the best waiter I’ve ever had! Nic served up our plates perfectly and we were even too full for dessert. He was so knowledgeable about the food, the wine, the pub and just a pleasure to speak with! He made the entire experience so lovely and warm. I’ll definitely be back again, 10/10 all round! Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay at the Alma, and both agreed it was the best place we had stayed in London. It was cost effective and good value for money. Our room was very spacious, and pleasant with fantastic facilities. The breakfast and service was also fantastic too!

This is a great boutique Inn/Hotel in a very quiet, but nice and convenient location in London. Very close to the metro, good places to eat, numerous parks. I stayed recently with my small child and found it great for quiet nights after seeing the city. I also found the rooms very nice with keen attention to the bathrooms especially. 4/5 stars for service not because it wasn't good (it was), but because it's more streamlined in terms of options than a fancy hotel would be. Though the innkeepers were always very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! We were there for 5 nights. The pub is delicious and staff is lovely. The pub dog Eddie is awesome and I loved him stopping by our table at breakfast. They pay such attention to detail from the towel warmers and cookies in the rooms daily to the lovely pub. It was not noisy at all even being near the road and train. Location was t really central to London but a quick train ride to Waterloo and then the tubes was fine. We prefer a quieter neighborhood feel, so for us that was great. I would certainly stay again.

Excellent place to stay and right opposite train station with easy services into central London. Room was great and clean. Air con already on. Quiet for sleeping. Great service. Nice pub with attractive surroundings and good food. Continental breakfast was perfect too. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at the Alma Hotel in Wandsworth, London! The staff was exceptionally helpful, making our stay truly memorable. From the warm hospitality to the impeccable service, every aspect of our experience was top-notch. The hotel's charming ambiance and attention to detail added an extra layer of comfort to our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend the Alma Hotel to anyone looking for a delightful stay in London.

Third time we have stayed at the Alma - really lovely rooms with some thoughtful finishing touches - like fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee and nice tea and coffee rather than Nescafé. Enormous comfy bed and decent toiletries in the bathroom. Excellent location right next door to Wandsworth Town - so easy to get everywhere and Old York Rd has a great vibe with great places to eat. We’ll be back!

I have stayed in the Alma Hotel many many times and when I used to live in London I always put my guests there as well. Wandsworth Town is such a nice area with easy access to Waterloo by overground. You have Southside Shopping Center short walking distance away. Buses to Clapham and Fulham nearby. The staff is always really welcoming and helpful, the rooms are boutique style and very comfortable. Great breakfast and also the access to their pub and restaurant in the evenings, always buzzing with locals and guests. This last time I also brought my niece of 13 and she loved it as well. I would highly recommend it and look forward to my next stay already.

My wife and I booked this hotel for our wedding weekend for us and our wedding party. The woman at reception showed us around a few rooms before we booked and answered any questions we had. The rooms were spacious, air-conditioned, clean, and all of our party all agreed that the beds were amazing. We also booked an area in their restaurant for a big pre-wedding celebration and all staff made us feel looked after and special while we stayed. Thank you all so much for helping make our weekend so special.

Had a meal here with a friend. It was rated by some as the best roast in London. The food wasn't bad although the beef was a little chewy.

Lovely people. Great room well insulated so no noise from trains or planes. Spotless and great breakfast. Delightful little outside area to sit. Couldn’t fault it. Great value for money

Absolutely wonderful experience! Fantastic staff, great service and all packaged up in a beautifully decorated room right in the heart of this very special part of South West London.

Their Sunday roasts are unbelievable! So tasty, reasonably priced and always a great veggie option as well. The Yorkshire’s are absolutely massive, and the staff are lovely. Couldn’t recommend more!

Went for a sunday roast as was recommended. We sat upstairs and the service was really very poor. The waitress was over familiar and not very competent. We waited 40mins after arriving for drinks despite several reminders, and had to cancel the last round as after waiting 30mins we had to go. Food however was not bad.

I had booked a table for four people and we were given a spot standing with two stools in a corner. We were then rudely told by a waitress we weren’t allowed to stand and then had to explain we didn’t have enough chairs to do that. We were right next to the exit door which was continually being left open (by staff using it to enter, we were told they didn’t count in the one way system...) and had cold air blowing in all the time. We asked if there was a chance to move to one of the many empty tables but they were all ‘booked’. Many people walking around without masks, no one using the one way system they were so protective over. Not a pleasant experience.

We love the Alma! Booked a table to watch the Rugby as had read the many many good reviews... What a wonderful place. Proper ol London drinkers pub with added elegance and some country charm, these guys have got it just right. Pub atmosphere for getting the pints in and a lovely dining room at the back for a more relaxed vibe. Really very attentive service, great selection of drinks, delicious looking menu and a cracking view of the game. We'll be back soon 🙏🍻💪

This is a wonderful boutique hotel, set above a traditional Victorian pub. I used to live in Wandsworth and the Alma (and the Brewer's Inn up the road) both were firm favourites for sports and good beer. I never had cause to try the hotel until I moved away, but very happy to have discovered it and have now stayed here twice. Prices are very reasonable for London, and they have a decent offer on currently where you get 2 nights accommodation with breakfast and dinner on arrival for a very reasonable price. Our room (Tonsley) was large and very comfortable, service was very friendly and laid back (in a good, relaxed way, if you are after pretentious service look elsewhere) and dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. See pictures. Highly recommended, thanks to all the staff.

The rooms are generally very good with nice size bathrooms and comfy beds with very friendly staff guy looking after breakfast. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants as well

Very dull in terms of lighting and very dated decor. A large amount of used/dirty glasses had built up at one part of the bar (taking over a quarter of the bar) which made it not look inviting. The atmosphere amongst the patrons was what you'd expect in a local pub. Loses a star for a bottle of coke being more expensive than a beer!

Excellent location and opposite train station with many wonderful quirky restaurants which adequately priced. Opposite the hotel (over road by mcdonalds) is a nice looking apartment complex with a late night store and river thames and a 24hr garage.

Me and my partner enjoyed our stay. Pub food was very good quality and the staff are very friendly. The receptionist Tanisha was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel dog Eddie was so cute and he shared our breakfast with us on more than one occasion lol. It's very quiet and the room decor is very pretty. We will be staying again and would highly recommend. Thanks again and see you soon Alma 👍

The food was delicious and the service was sensational. Nic was our waiter/host for the afternoon. Was SO friendly and had the best recommendations for wine pairings. I’m 100% returning because of the warm environment, great value for money and good food. Defo worth the hype

Me & group of girl friends had a fantastic Sunday roast at The Alma this Sunday. We had the pleasure of being served by Nic who was so attentive to us and was so helpful! We’d definitely be back again! Highly recommend if you want a tasty & filling roast!

Great place to stay, eat and drink. Spent a couple of nights at the Alma and couldn’t find fault. Perfect location for the rugby, nice rooms and the staff were fantastic.
