Came here on the 29th for my sisters birthday lunch. Service was okay but I ordered the steak rare and when it came it was well done. I would have flagged but no one came to check on how we were doing. Then we were given a dessert menu but no one came to take our order… then when we flagged someone down we were told the kitchen was closed? They kindly did get us some desserts but we were told the chef was very grumpy about it. Just lots of room for improvement really. In fairness it was busy but the meal wasn’t cheap.

Waking up on a Sunday morning in desperate need of hearty, honest food, a place that’s local and a place that allows dogs. This is THE SPOT!! The service was impeccable; incredibly friendly, knowledgable with the right balance of attentiveness and time to contemplate. I had the salmon and spinach en croûte which was delightful. The ability to cook the salmon perfectly, en-mass is FAB!! The selection of roasted veg with a generous but not overwhelming beurre blanc sauce was spot on. The pork loin roast with a lashings of gravy was praised highly by my partner. We tried the sticky toffee pud which is a personal fave along with the apple and pear crumble. I could take or leave the crumble. I am already planning my next visit simply based on the mains and sticky toffee pud. Highly recommend. One suggestion though, the only thing letting them down is the ladies’ loos, there was no light in one cubicle meaning I had to whip out the touch on my phone! Get that sorted and this is place perfect for Sunday vibing

Enjoyed the food, beer and service here. Open space, it can get quite noisy.

A very nice British pub situated in Walthamstow village on the corner of the pedestrianised street, offering a good selection of beers and spirits to enjoy on a sunny afternoon, of watch the games with friends. A must visit when in the area in need of refreshment.

Service was patchy, food ok, noisy inside but outdoor seating was really good. Wondered why their food hygiene rating sticker wasn’t displayed. Turns out they have a 0 rating. Not displaying it is illegal.

Fantastic food and wonderful service. The roast was great: both the rare roast beef and the sea bass option. The scotch egg was also delicious as was the sticky toffee pudding. The kids rigatoni and cheese sauce was tasty and they serve kid portions of roast (half adult portion) if you have small ones. We had a minor issue (small piece of plastic in a scoop of ice cream) which the manager quickly addressed; she even comped our dessert despite telling her we understand mistakes happen.

Fantastic roast at standard Walthamstow Village prices. Lovely autumnal day so sat outside and watched the world go by. Cured the hangover and will definitely go again! Great Yorkshire's FYI.

Well above standard pub fare in the village pub. Service is excellent. Food might have taken a step down recently, but I've only been 5-6 times over the last year. Definitely need to consider servers knowledge of drinks on the menu.

Very likeable Walthamstow Village pub with great outside area and good selection of beers and wines. Very popular with the gentrified area it occupies, which is also reflected in the price that you'll pay at the bar. Very popular at the weekends and evenings and worth a visit.

Had lunch here. Staff were knowledgeable about allergens and could advise correctly to avoid cross-contamination. Even knew which beer was gluten free which is Pillars Pilsner on tap from brewery round the corner. All dishes were very tasty and well presented. Worth adding that ‘you get what you pay for’ and the adult main meals were close to £20. We also had a table because we arrived at 12pm. By 1pm on Saturday, the pub was full and some people sitting on the backless stools seemed uncomfortable and keen to move to proper tables.

We've been in this place after covid and everytime was absolutely busy. This time, was after dinner, late night and we found a seat inside on the sofa. Staff is lovely(except for the guy that serves me at the bar, twisting a Guinnes with a straw, then he overcharge me and I've been insulted that i was maybe too drunk to drink instead of apologise but anyway, Idid cause im a manager in a pub too so I know what kindness mean and how to behave, i guess... ). Except for that, loved the atmosphere here and food is amazing. Not sure about the way you've been treat by some of the staff or owner 😅

Very lovely family friendly pub. Lots of kids and dogs around (including our pup!). Good range of crisps, vegan included. Saw other people get food which looked very good!

We went with a friend for dinner, on Sunday, to this pub in the Walthamstow Village and we were not disappointed, good food, decent prices just maybe a little too high for E17, no loud music and we were actually able to have a conversation without shouting. The pub itself is very nice and authentic, friendly and very helpful personnel, so we had a very good time. Recommended !

If the sticky tables near the door were sanded clean, the menu was revamped, and they stopped putting sugar in savoury dishes, they would get 5 stars from me. Otherwise, great atmosphere and lovely staff. I particularly like the fresh flowers on every table at all times, even in winter.

The Queens Arms was awarded a Food Hygiene Rating of 0 (Urgent Improvement Necessary) by London Borough of Waltham Forest on 7th July 2022. I went to eat there a few months ago, but I would have never come near the place should I've known how absolutely terrible the food standards were in fact. EDIT: thank you for your response, I wasn't expecting it. Where can we see the result / rating of that second inspection, please? I'd be very happy to update this review to reflect the adequate score.

Nice local pub which has really changed over the years. For lunch we had a range of small plates all of which were delicious. Next time I'll try a dessert.

Had the fish and chips and it was absolutely delicious. All of the food looked great! There’s a really nice vibe too if you just fancy having a few drinks. Look forward to coming back ☺️

This place is nice for drinks, but the food is disappointing. The portions are small and the prices are high. We ate here and were still so hungry afterwards that we ended up having more food elsewhere.

Good pub which adds to the community. Good food and they usually have a couple of cask ales rather than a line of keg beers... Which is great! Staff always helpful...

Best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Super fresh, nice chunky Chios... Lovely staff and nice Interior. Just passing through and needed food, thankfully we found this little gem on the way out of town.

Came with a couple of friends for a few drinks last weekend and had a fantastic time in the beer garden. Two lovely female bartenders there (can’t remember the other girls name, sorry!) but Lin was really exceptional. Super friendly and laughed at my lame jokes when it was time for my round. I just moved to the Village so really happy to find my new local! See you guys later 🤙🏻

Omd!! The food is just amazing! The flavours that were on offer in this place were just too good to be true. The savory starters particularly and of course the sticky toffee pudding was exceptional. Might I add the biscuit that accompanied the creme Brulee... bellisimo!

Very nice atmosphere and great management. We went there last Sunday without a booking and the manager -super friendly - got us a table. The staff was very playful with our baby so was a plus :)

I really love this place. Lovely atmosphere - really welcoming. They always try hard to squeeze people in who haven't booked. The staff are all incredibly friendly and the food delicious. Good selection of beers too. Its dog-friendly - its always a treat to see/pet some nice neighbourhood hounds!
