I really like this bar. The staff are friendly and the food is good. It's always quite busy which makes the atmosphere enjoyable. Good Sunday roast dinners.

I would just like to confirm that Paul kerr comment is not fake, the customer service was very poor. Staff have no patients and don't care about their customers, toilets were very dirty and had toilet paper everywhere. If you are looking for a good pub for you and your friends/family to go to I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

A fine Street side pub, the Rookery is a great addition to the Clapham pub scene. Simple but has all you need for a fine drink. Plenty on offer from the keg. Unfortunately, not one for the real ale drinker, no cask ales (as far as I can tell) The 'Lost' lager was good, clear, cold and crisp. Lovely staff at the bar, friendly, quick and efficient. A most enjoyable visit. Also, there is a spiral staircase here, always a winner 🏆

Enjoyed a great Saturday evening here with friends. The cocktails are tasty but come in very small glasses so you don't really realise how much you are drinking! The food was great, I would definitely recommend the pork belly. The service was attentive and the setting a nice balance between a bar and a restaurant. Would definitely go back.

Perfection on a plate. One of the best meals I have ever had in London, clearly all fresh ingredients which had been carefully crafted into a delicious dish. Waiting staff were engaging and knowledgeable, they really made sure that we enjoyed ourselves. I can only recommend The Rookery to anyone considering it - try the pork shoulder, you will not be disappointed. We will be back ASAP to see what else they have come up with.

If you are considering dining at the Rookery for Sunday lunch then I would think again. We all live in and around the area and have never given this place a try before, I guess we know why. There a few main issues, I could ramble and rant but for anyone reading this review before deciding, the issues were: - Incredibly slow service - While you don't want to be rushed out of a restaurant, a 2 course meal shouldn't take 3 hours. One person shouldn't be receiving their meal 10 minutes after everyone else either, for both courses! - Incredibly rude service - It was a relatively old gentleman that was our server. He seems thoroughly unimpressed that we'd decided to visit. He tried to take food while people were still eating, snatched menu, slammed down glasses, didn't break a smile and generally ruined our experience. I get that it is probably a stressful job but we weren't exactly loud, rude or awkward. - Average food - The food was a little mixed, although it may have tasted better if the service had been better. I ordered pork belly which can sometimes be a little fatty and this was and the crumble wasn't the best. All in all, there are some many better options in the area, you'll never have to have Sunday lunch here!

Staff were very friendly and were more than accommodating when they squeezed us in just before the kitchen was closing. We had a roast and although it was tasty the beef was very tough (maybe due to the late hour), you'd also expect a few more vegetables for £16.50.... 3 roast potatoes and a tiny bit of cabbage was very disappointing . It's such a nice setting and the staff were great we'll probably be back at a better time with the hope of a better food experience Edit: Returned a second time and waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. They were amazing meatballs though. Have reduced to 2 stars as the toilets are absolutely disgusting.

It's a pub. Clapham is full of pubs, I'd probably go to one with a bit more vibe.

Best little pub/wine bar in south Clapham, the diverse locals are really friendly, so are the staff and the prices are very reasonable for London. Great for watching sport, outside TVs, I will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

We went there for a roast. It was nice 7/10. And they still had roasts available at 7pm which was late. A bit light on the meat. Got an extra Yorkshire tho. The staff seemed like they had a big night and were a bit spacey but polite.

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, my partner and I loved everything about it, romantic, great food and perfect cocktails. Sadly 1 year later the standards have dropped considerably. Our favourite staff were nowhere to be seen, perhaps the owners have changed. Instead we got a waitress that knew nothing about the menu, cocktails were not great and the chef had an argument in front of us with the manager complaining about what menu should be available at lunch time. As you can imagine it made us feel quite uncomfortable. Overall it felt a bit more grotty and the love has gone. So sad, we were loyal customers but it's too disappointing to go back.

A fairly nice place. The drinks selection is simple, with a very small selection of draft or guest ales. It didnt seem like they were serving food when we were there, as all we could get were a packet of crisps.

Best roast pork belly I've had in this country and my favorite IPA on tap. Will be back on my next work trip to London.

I really like this pub. Before Covid, it built a fantastic reputation as a place to have a great meal by the Common. It's open again (currently without kitchen, until things are properly back to normal), and is still brilliant for summer drinks. It has a large outside area with a retractable awning for when the showers hit. There's a good selection of beers on tap including some of the "craft" brands (quotes because they are pretty mainstream now). Recently it's become a very popular football pub, during the Euros tournament - it's always packed a couple of hours before kick off, with a great atmosphere. Lots of screens, and playlists of England songs in the build-up, to get everyone singing. I've found the staff to be really helpful even on these extremely busy nights when they are rushed off their feet. No pub is perfect, but this is one of the better ones. Would recommend.
