Lovely inside. Welcoming staff, reasonably quick. Food was fresh and super tasty. I had the lamb shawarma but insta of pita, I had with Quinoa. The lamb was amazingly tender. Was just left wanting more. Portions lean more on the demure side, so if you're going in hungry, order a side of pita or chips.

Failed expectations We saw all the great reviews about this place and knew we had to pop in and say hello. First of all, the coffee did not look nearly as great as the pictures. When we asked why we didn't get amazingly designed coffees, the waitress said that they can't do it. Our main reason for visiting Lauren's was because of the good looking coffee. Anyway, moving along. The service was very poor, we had to keep asking a different waiter where our waitress is, and she sure did take long with almost everything. The one thing we really did like was the food. Everything we ordered was delicious and we have no problems with the food. Our expectations just weren't met.

I really like trying out different coffee places, and I have to say, the short cappuccino I had was awesome. It had great flavor, the foam was just right, and it was the perfect temperature. The food was amazing too – so tasty! The combination of flavors was like a delicious melody, and the bread was one of the best I've ever had. I totally recommend this place if you want fantastic coffee and yummy food.

Good food, but portions are a bit small. Would like a bigger slice of toast for the avo toast or 2 slices and more pita bread with the Shakshuka. Nice options on the menu including beetroot, matcha and tumeric lattes, but R8 for a almond milk substite is too much. Nice atmosphere and decor. Friendly staff.

Very convenient and attractive restaurant /coffee shop at Eden Meander. We stopped there very early, during load shedding, for breakfast. Service was friendly and quick and our breakfast was good. My scrambled eggs and bacon was huge, had to share it.

I have visited this coffee shop a few times now and always enjoy their delicious coffee. The complimentary mini biscuit served with my cappuccino is a lovely touch and adds to the overall experience. I was also delighted to see a beautiful swan in my coffee cup, which was a first for me! However, I have to say that I was disappointed with their Halloumi fries with tzatziki sauce and pomegranate. They were overly oily and just not enjoyable to eat. I have to add that I don't enjoy eating there. Despite this, I would still recommend the café for their great coffee and friendly atmosphere.

As a fussy coffee drinker - meaning I review most coffee shops on my private notes - I can say that my flat white (short) was excellent. Great flavour, foam density and temp. And then there is the food. We shared the platter for two. This was incredibly delicious. It’s a melody of flavors that is absolutely delicious. One of the best platters I’ve had. Highly recommend.

If you have to be at the George shopping mall, might as well pop into Zesto Café. Chilled music, comfy bench and pseudo industrial decor lend themselves to a pleasant escape from shopping fatigue. I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese toasted bagel. A little too much red onion for me, otherwise fresh and tasty. Coffee was good too. And those sugar dusted biscuit accompaniments... so good. Aircon needed to be dialed down a tad. Was quite warm inside. Thank you to Marco, who served with efficiency.

Interesting mediterranean-style fusion menu with unique, and tasty dishes. Friendly and professional service from well trained staff. Excellent food! We visit often and enjoy it every time.

When I ordered coffee the other day I had a flavoured one Almond their was no taste of almond and had a normal cappuccino please when a customer orders a flavored coffee put more of the flavour in cause we are paying alot for it thank you

Spend a lovely morning at Laurens hiding from the rain and cold inside this cosy upbeat restaurant. I loved the decor with its personal touches. The signature meerkats makes ons smile and I bought a personalized greeting card to take home with me. Excellent Lavazza coffee and milo with marshmallows warmed our bodies and minds. The staff and owner were friendly and attentive. I enjoyed a beef shawarma which made me long for Greece and gulped it down wit a glass of Rosé wine from one of the local wineries. All and all a pleasant morning spent with friends in a friendly and well run establishment. Really worth a visit.

The staff (Chris) was quite on The flatwhite wasn’t bad either… a little work on the blend to make it a bit more accommodating to milk… 3/5

Lovely atmosphere, Greek style menu, very tasty well prepared and presented meals at reasonable prices. Great friendly service. Definitely plan to be back to try out out other menu items.
