Poor service, no one to serve at bakery section. Dirty bakery area. RTE hot foods was all out of temprature..( not one item was close to the 63 deg cel threshold.Obviously the need for food safety is not even on their radar)Asked to speak to someone in charge but I was just ignored.

The quality of the fruit and veg was not good. We realised when we got home that the tomatoes were rotten, the blueberries had some mouldy ones throughout and the mangoes were tasteless. Would never go back.

Overall the store meets all shopping requirements with friendly service and a selection of fresh and frozen food. The frozen section does also have some great options of seafood and frozen berries. The baked goods section is always fully stocked with a wide variety of goodies.

Food Lovers is an excellent place for vegetables and fruits to be shopped, but not only limited to that. They are a complete convenience store with bakery and delicious on the go fruit salads and much more.

Very disgusted with the butchery and their misrepresentation of meats. I don’t understand why a paying customer cannot request something to be prepared for them! Then you are guaranteed that what is prepacked is what you asked for after explaining the importance of it being what was labelled, and no surprise a big fat lie by the butcher because it turned out to be exactly what I did not want and also not what was labelled. If I want burger patties with nothing but mince don’t push prepacked patties mixed with cheese and who’s knows what else at me, especially when you promised it’s just mince and nothing else 😡 Why must you make people do things under your supervision to get what you are ordering and paying for!!!!

Place is not very tidy and clean and does not have much variety of goods. Must say, that the lamb neck that we bought was of outstanding quality

Fruit and veggies are in the worst condition. Not happy at all. Bought a few blueberry containers and all was "vrot"!!!! Raspberries lasted only one day, onions was no good and potatoes only looked good ontop , rest was horrible. Food lovers won't see me again.

Their quality is of a high standard for their fresh produce. I also enjoyed their bakery treats

George fruit andveg was terrible compare to kny fruit and veg amazing like woolies so u people need to upgrade really disappointing

I just wish they will cover their prepared food. It's not hygienic and food are dried out. Also the tills are very confusing specially when the system is not working and you have to search for a cashier waving at you....it sucks big time

Very nice. Just missed the vegetarian wraps, veg sandwiches or veg pies. All those items just meat products. Would have liked to see that range catered for plant-based individuals also. Otherwise I like it. Great variety of fruits and good produce.

It's quite a big shopping centre were you can find most of shops , secure parking and security guards everywhere which make its much safer.

Food lovers, Garden Route Mall - The bakery/salads/food stands are disgusting. I’ve been twice in a row and everything is out in the open, anyone could cough or sneeze and spread germs to the foods on the stalls, something needs to be done about this. Everything should be covered and be fresh at least. Rolls/sandwiches/cakes are stale, this is nonsense. Floors are dirty and fridges are leaking and has a foul smell. Never going back. That place has poor hygiene.

Staff aren't very helpful, most of them looked as though they'd rather be else where. I am a food lovers fan, I was also disappointed with 2 items that I had purchased there ie the fresh garlic (prepacked) 1 was completely rotten inside and also one of the potatoes we had bought was a bit rotten. I did like that they had quite a variety of things, saw somethings i haven't seen in Cape Town branches I've been in.

I was really shocked by the way staff speak to each other in front of customers at the bakery. I had to wake the cashier up to serve me this afternoon and a member of staff was blocking the exit door, instead of holding the door for me, my hands were both full of produce, she moved out of the door way. I walked out and left the door open and she was talking to her colleagues about how I could dare to walk out and not close the door behind me. Most unfriendly and unwilling staff from entrance to exit. The whole experience wads horrible. It says something of management. I will NEVER buy anything at this store ever again. There are soooooooo many other lovely places to buy better fruit and vegetables. I will definitely vote with my money somewhere else.

I only give this business a 1 star for the following reason. Most of their fruit ie strawberries and blue berries are always rotting I have spoken to owner / manager ( not sure if the person I have spoken to was owner or manger) and his reply to me is that his staff have not yet gone the shelves to check the stock. I was in the shop late afternoon now I wonder when do they go through the stock surely this must done before they open in the mornings. I was in by Food Lovers Market Garden Route Mall again this morning and all there strawberries were rotten except the 400 gram packets. I am really disappointed in this shop as I love to shop there but if this does not improve I will definitely be changing my place to for fruit and vegetables
