Took the kids to the snake and reptile park. The tour guide is very informative and has a good understanding of the snakes and reptiles that are in the park. Dont let looks fool you as the place is old but the tour that was presented made it worth it.

Getting 3 stars because of the experience the kids had and the guide made it entertaining letting the kids hold the chameleons. The animals do look well looked after but the place needs maintenance and general upkeep and initial thoughts were that it’s expensive but suggest to visit as they would need the financial support.

Although the Google description says Lion and Bird its more a Lion and Reptile park. Was a much smaller park than the usual animal parks as this park has 2 sections, 1 for the Lions and the other for the Reptiles. The park aesthetic seems very old with the entrance and walkways feeling very rustic but it has a very good vibe. The animals are very well taken care off and the staff are very skilled in handling the animals, the staff also showed great respect for the animals when handling or interacting. The staff were also friendly and answered any questions. The price isn't bad considering the time and interaction you have with the exhibit. The only downside is there aren't any food or chill out areas available but this could be because of COVID restrictions.

Lion area extremely disappointing.. Really bad maintenance, broken walls and rubble laying all over, lions don't look like they get treated well at all.. Reptile area a bit better, could still do with a lot of work on esthetics and presentation.. The guide was really nice and interesting with the snakes and very open to touching them which was cool.. Not worth the combo deal at all though, would recommend they upgrade the reptile section with more animals and the look and just closing the lion section.

The reptile side was phenomenal! An experience of note. If you like reptiles or would just like to learn more about them (especially snakes) this is a great place to go and learn. The guide was knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about what he does. I own snakes of my own as well, and I learned many new things and terms. One note though, the LION side of the park is not as WOW as the reptile side, although it costs the same. If you have to choose, choose the reptiles. Also this IS NOT BIRD PARK. It is a REPTILE and LION park...

At reception we were told that there would be chinchilla you can pet, that we did not get to see nor pet. The tour guides were amazing and very knowledgeable. R200 per person for the combo was a little expensive as we only saw 2 cubs and 6 adult lions. Beverages and snacks can only be paid in cash, even though there is a card machine.

Looks a little dodgy when you first arrive. The garden you have to walk through, but once inside a very nice surprise awaits you. Not expensive at all, cute braai areas with lots of shade... and the slides was enjoyed by my son. Lots of fun, for a good price.

Not a great experience at all. The place is very run down. You walk through someone's back yard to get to the entrance. The entrance is dark and falling apart with dusty, old, empty cages. The snakes were interesting and the guide seemed to know his stuff. Lots of the snakes didn't have water or their water was filthy. Looks like the cages have not been cleaned in a long time. Really not worth the money and feel sorry for the animals.

Not worth what you pay for. Place is very neglected. Python is left on the grass with children sitting by it, rubbing it and going near the face making quick movement. Tour guides stand against the wall talking to each other. Driving in and already seeing what the place looks like now, we should have just drove by. Only a few snakes, ducks and tortoises to see. Tour guide talked only about 4 or 5 snakes and that is it. A lot of people there doing the "tour" said that this is a waste of money. 7 years back we had such a good experience.

Very knowledgeable guides who were willing to answer all the strange questions from my kids. My kids loved holding the snakes and the lizard.

Animals are awesome, people are great. I think upgrades need to be done to attract more people, and you need more people to do the upgrades. Nonetheless, very cool

Went there a few weeks ago the snakes were nice but you have to walk through a stinky building to get to them then i also saw the lions DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT paid way to much for just 4 lions WOULDN'T RECOMMEND

Such an educational place the guide was so sweet and helpful he gave information that none of the other parks I've been to have. The caregivers and guides have amazing relationships with the animals. Relationships I've seldom seen. Definitely recommend a visit.

The reptile tour is worth the money. There is enough to keep you busy and entertained for an hour or two. In depth knowledge of snakes is on display and tour guides confidence does make the often feared reptiles more approachable

I recently visited a park that was supposed to be open until 16:00, but ended up closing 20 minutes early. This was extremely disappointing and inconvenient, as I had planned my visit around the stated closing time. To make matters worse, the park also announced that they would not be accepting any groups after 15:15, despite the fact that the park was supposed to be open for another 45 minutes. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this park. The early closing and lack of accommodation for groups during the remaining open time was highly unacceptable and I would not recommend this park to others.

The big cats are gorgeous as always and great to see so closely, but overall, the space is sad to see. It's a far stretch from a zoo or sanctuary. The farm section is only a pig, chickens, and ducks. The feeding tour is R150 per person and is approx 15 minutes with some nice facts. We didn't see any reptiles. I think they need lots of financial support, so head there anyway, but don't expect much from the space. Once done, you can have a lovely meal at the restaurant where the kids can play, so it won't be a wasted trip.

The water park is really great fun and quite affordable. The rides can be a bit rough at times, and the splash pool can do with some expansion. The rules for the rides are clear but parental supervision for smaller children is a must. A reduced entrance fee is applicable for people who only want to watch and I recommended that parents take this option, unless they join in the fun!

Lovely little place. Tour guides are fantastic and friendly and know what they are talking about. Not many mammals at the moment however they did say they are getting white tigers, cheeters and a few other animals I can't remember. But the reptile section was very interesting. Quite a few species of snakes that are out in pits. Which are visible to see. Without the glass barriers ! Alot of knowledge learnt here.

The facilities and grounds beyond is unkept. It is dirty, the slides are broken and is a danger for smaller children. It also smells terrible. The kiddies pool has filthy water in it with some toads. The slides to the kiddies pool is not blocked off so that no one can access them. Definately NOT worth the money paid for entry fee.
