Quaint little town, loads of history and great things to see and do. Don't miss the Ostrich Farms, animal encounters at Cango Wildlife Ranch. Swartberg Pass is a must and the Mereingspoort Waterfalls. Definitely do a farm stay. Karoo Living...

What a lovely town with lots of old buildings, antique shops and restaurants. We ate at Jemimas wow..lovely trio desert and staff. Cango caves was the main reason for visiting...buy tickets at the caves...hourly tours into the stunning caves. If you are brave...try the adventure trial...lovely Cafe to wait in...bring your singing voice to test the acoustics in the main chamber where they held concerts before...but visitors destroyed parts of the cave so it is no longer held...pity. easy walkways, but some stairs involved...especially if you come back out again...take your asthma pump with if you use one as the air does get a bit thin the deeper you go in...small kids welcome but must be controlled for safety reasons. Leanne was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and even sang for us.

The drive to Oudtshoorn from Mossel Bay was so gorgeous! There are many ostrich farms, leather stores, and unique restaurants. The only extra activity we were able to enjoy was a drive to the Rus En Vred waterfall. Wow! Well worth it! There is a small admission.

Quiet nice little town, very clean. It seems very peaceful. Only spent a few hours here honestly, so my review is limited 🙃.

The Darkness that sings in the light. The Cango Caves is estimated to be a 20 million year-old system that was formed in the Precambrian limestones at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountain range that is located 30 km outside of Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo of South Africa. The caves are divided into 3 major sections, Cango I, II & III, and have a 4 km system of tunnels and chambers, but only 1 km (Cango I) of this is open to the public. The formation of the Cango Caves is described as one of the great Natural Wonders of the World and its South Africa's oldest tourist attraction and the first tourist site to be protected by environmental law. It's a magical experience for anyone who loves the unknown, as it almost feels like you step into another dimension. Cango caves offer two types of tours 1. The HERITAGE TOUR departs on the hour every hour daily from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Admission Fees Adults: R 170.00 Children: R 120.00 2. The ADVENTURE TOUR visiting the deepest sections of Cango one, depart every hour on the half-hour; daily from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm Admission Fees Adults: R 240.00 Children: R 170.00

It is a beautiful town with many old buildings. Lots to see and do. Plenty of unique restaurants. The maintenance of the roads as well as the cleanliness of the town needs attention though.

I think personally, it could of been a little better than expected. The manager was just to happy changing the broken chair but that all aside, the building had a charm of its own. I'll stay again....

I was able to visit the tourist attractions such as the Cango Wildlife Ranch, Safari and local waterfalls. It was a fun and relaxing experience. The community is extremely friendly and was a good change in environment from the hustle and bustle in the City. Would definitely recommend. It was extremely hot, but enjoyful.
