An awesome place to pinic for a day or camp for longer. The scenery of river meeting ocean is fantastic. A dangerously steep road leeds you to the river's edge. At low tide the river is sufficiently shallow for children to play in. At high tide the river becomes dangerously deep with strong currents which can pull unwitting persons out to sea.

Nice and secluded river mouth beach. Very popular with the locals, whale watching is spectacular!

Drove a couple of hours to experience the beach and was hoping to take my daughter to a quiet beach to play with water. Unfortunately, there was a small sign at the entrance by the parking lot that said, no swimming. Rooms my daughter we can't swim here and she started crying because it took us several hours to get there. Just wish there was more signs, or bigger notices that swimming is not allowed.

This is a piece of heaven not many people know about. Nestled in-between huge rocks and vegetation...pristine Beach and just a beautiful place.

While travelling there, one is left wondering if there's even a beach, and if so, whether it's accessible and safe... But, once discovered, this GEM of a hidden beach is definitely worth its remoteness. It is a beach, it is accessible (don't be scared of the inclines!) and it is very safe. Life guards present, braai facilities & sanitation.

👍👍 Great waves and beach for kids. My son loves going there with his boogie board. The way there also has beautiful painted artworks next to the road and when entering through the bridge.
