The place is fabulous. Very easy on the pocket and excellent service. You get chauffeured to anywhere you want to go with the golf cars. That's how big thr place is. There's plenty of games to play for kids next to the restaurants. There are very friendly support staff at restaurants. I was a bit disappointed at how dry they prepared their fish though... I should be a crime in the western cape to do that but the overall aesthetically pleasing sight compensated for the mishap. It's so decently priced for what what it looks like, it's shocking. There's art all over. BEAUTIFUL! It's 7 minutes away from the airport so it's just perfectly placed.

Our room was exactly as per the images on google, the incredible view from our balcony was the cherry on top. The staff were extremely friendly and eager to assist throughout our stay, special S/O to Ntombi who responded to my email containing over 10 questions prior to our arrival. The breakfast buffet was out of this world especially the Omelette. Oubaai is definitely worth every cent!

Stayed here for 2 nights with my brother and our wives. It was my brother's wife's birthday. The accommodation was amazing, clean, comfortable and with an amazing view. The service was great with people always willing to help. My only issue with the place was their wine selection. You would think that a glamorous place like that would stock more premium wines, especially since it is based in the wine lands of South Africa.

Always a great place to stay. The front desk, kitchen, and chefs are fabulous. The rooms are fantastic and there is loads of space to move around, the room I was in had a three seater and a desk if you want to get some work done, and the room had a great wifi signal. You don't even notice when there is load shedding as almost everything works in the rooms load-shedding, you lose a hair dryer for a small while but the rooms make up for it. Walk-in closets are a nice touch with separate toilet cubical. A freestanding bathtub with an open shower gives an open feeling and not your normal hotel feel.

We had a fantastic suite room 260! Wow gorgeous gorgeous. Huge with a lounge. Most beautiful course of ever played. Bring plenty of balls as the course is deceptive 😉

We loved to visit this hotel in the past. It is now somewhat run down with absolutely no ambiance. It was peak season, and no one around to serve us drinks. Also, no one in the restaurant. All the tiny shops and restaurants on the outside closed down. It is sad and a pity that a once flourishing place took a turn for the worst.

Lovely, Spacious and comfortable Junior Suite. The Housekeeping was a major letdown, slacked, you have to beg them to come clean your room everyday otherwise they won't pitch - really shocking, it seems they are short staffed in that department. The other staff really went of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Vuyo at room service a superstar. Breakfast was great, I loved the variety. Hotel has a long way to go to get back that 5 star standard they once had prior to covid.

Extremely disappointing. We paid a lot of money for very bad service. Horrible dirty water, poor maintenance, dirty carpets, old bed, old curtains that do not block the sun and forcing us to get up as soon as the sun comes up. Poor WiFi connection. Zero entertainment. Poor food quality and no choices of eating places . I ate the food there twice whilst I was there for 7 days and got sick both times., had to resort to takeaways in town. The hotel never bothered to explain or apologize for any of the short comings. The cleaning staff and some waiters were very polite and did the best they could, however the management of the place is very poor. This was the third time my family visited the place. The first 2 times were great. However the place has deteriorated so badly.

Very beautiful and spacious rooms. The rooms and sheets are very clean. The staff very friendly and the food was great. On the downside the hotel roof was leaking in the dining and reception and passage towards their boardroom and some rooms and staircase. One of our members got injured as a result from wet floors as it was raining. I had to keep asking for toilet paper and towels. The hotel seems to be struggling in this regard. Our airconditioning was on and off. Had to call a few times for them to fix it. The bath tub prop was also not working properly. You put water and it escapes .I think the maintenance of the hotel is required on a serious note. The place is beautiful and it's busy deteriorating. I would still recommend it though. Just make sure to book when it's not raining as some of the rooms are outside and you have to walk in the rain and the roof is leaking in some rooms.

Exceptional great service and friendly staff. Last moment plan changes they helped me set up a romantic room to ask my fiance to marry me. Roses, champagne candles and more. Can't thank the team enough for a great stay. Not even to mention the great food.

We have our annual conference here. Great venue and the food catering is exceptional. The sound and visual presentation equipment was prone to malfunction and needs attention. Although the staff were always helpful and willing to work on the problems. Beautiful setting and view.

The place is stunning, the staff was friendly and professional. Not to mention the fact that the chef went all out to make us a scrumptious vegetarian platter on request. My friend's birthday weekend will forever be cherished.

Spent 6 nights at Oubaai Hotel with my group. Yes we had small little issues but nothing too big that could not be handled. All staff from reception to F& B even the house keeping ladies was a pleasure to work with. With the hotel being 100% for a few days it was still a very memorable experience. Will certainly return to a hotel that understands the need of the guest.

It's worth staying over if your goal is to recharge, restore, replenish. Bigger than standard sized rooms, tucked away from the noise of everyday life, amazing ocean view rooms, several outdoor pools

What a beautiful place. Friendly staff, delicious food. Room was spacious and clean The spa was amaaaazing 1. When checking - especially for first time visitors - there should be a pamphlet to explain how the carts work, and facilities etc.

Very underwhelming. The property has clearly not been looked after or maintained over the years. I was moved to 4 different units, due to damp and mould. After being accommodated in the hotel, I noticed stains on the carpets, my shower leaked and the plug in the bath didn't seal properly. The menu at the restaurant is very limited, service slow and the food also disappointing. It is such a pity as the property is beautiful, they really could make this an amazing experience if they'd just maintain it, add a few upgrades and put value on food. I felt sorry for the staff as they were so friendly and helpful, but let down by the hotel itself.

Wow, this place was one for the books. Views from the restaurant onto the golf course was great. Our room was very luxurious. Very professional and friendly staff. We also had an amazing sopher driving us to the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel. Splendid rooms. All you need. Spacious. Nice view from the room. The service on check-in and departure was below everything. I know I was too early for a check-in at 10:00 am. I was told a room would be available at 15:00, the normal check-in time. I asked them if it was really impossible to clean the room which was assigned to me maybe earlier. They would look into it when I told I was a travel agent looking for250 to 300 nights yearly for our clients. The room was ready at 13:00. Checking out was a nightmare. One person dealing with 6 people waiting. I asked to pick up my bags in the room. Half an hour later they still were not there. There was another person available but he obviously decided to stay in his office. Sad to see that a possible wonderful experience was ruined by a few people..... never again.

We had a lovely dinner! - a country singer surprised us with a live entertainment us on the 16th of December 2022. Though the kitchen didnt have a few drinks available of our first choice, the food was incredible.

The hotel is located at a great place. The security guards and front desk staff were really welcoming and kind. Parking, front desk/restaurant and the rooms are a walking distance from each other but there is a golf cart that the hotel uses but only 1 driver operating. The rooms are quite spacious and well furnished, however they have carpets and tend to get a stuffy smell. We had an issue with the aircon not working and had some trouble getting it sorted out. After some time, we were eventually given a fan (a bit rusty and dusty). And if you’re fussy with toilet paper, it may be advisable to bring a 2-ply as it was only 1-ply (quality a bit on the down). The restaurant bar in the estate was great, with really great drinks and staff. But it was a great experience overall with a few hiccups here and there.

Please take me back there!!! Awesome, world-class accommodations where you feel like a king. Just one thing: the background story about Oubaai and the history of the area needs to be looked at, and greater recognition of the indigenous peoples and their descendants needs to be highlighted.

Perfect furnishings in the rooms , beautiful spa and it's services, a lot of activities from golf, gym, and tennis, but bad service for the rooms, there is no point of calling from the rooms requesting anything, from an iron to towels. They don't change the sheets, and the rooms get cleaned in the afternoon. Savoury breakfast is really limited. Bad, service! Poor wifi

The place is nice. The room we were assigned was nice. However due to the bad rain the bathroom started leaking, we reported it twice but nothing really happened. So we asked for extra towels just to put on the floor and to deal with it. Getting anything that's not in the room is very difficult, such as towels, iron, anything really. We had to call several times to which housekeeping said they weren't even notified. The breakfast is very limited especially if you have dietary restrictions. Room service is prompt but most of the time they do not have several menu items. The Cucina restaurant is mostly closed, we were told they are open on "the busy days" when we inquired which were the busy days we were told "we're not sure" 😂. The clubhouse has a good view but again most of the menu items as well as the drinks are out of stock most of the time. No one is really willing to provide information on activities on and around the resort, instead there's brochures pointing to activities in Knysna. No one wanted to assist us with bigger bottles of water as there's no drinking water facilities on site, so we had to pay a driver to purchase several bottles of water for us as there are no places to purchase from nearby. I guess many people just drink the water coming out of the bathroom tap? Room service charges an exorbitant amount for water which is not justifiable, but as there's no drinking water facilities it's the last resort really. Paying high prices is justifiable if you're getting good quality. Everything at the facility is priced high yet the quality is very low which is sad as the place has amazing potential. The shuttle to and from the clubhouse is great, the drivers are really great and really friendly and they seem to be the only ones really willing to assist with advice. Abie at the front desk is also very polite. We requested to pay for a late check out as this is advertised on the website and also emphasized after receiving booking confirmation. We were told we can only ask for this the day before check out. We needed to add in at least 3 hours which we were happy to pay for. However we were told this is not at all available which is quite sad as upon check in we were told that priority will be given to us for a late checkout as we are already occupying the room. All in all not a very good stay and probably something we won't do again. We've had bad experiences at other places but usually the friendly staff and their willingness to assist make up for this, sad to say it was not the same here and that it ruined our stay. Finally although our late checkout request was denied, many other people were granted a later checkout.

First of all, the property is very tranquil and stunning, I was in awe when I first drove into the estate. In perspective of the hotel accommodation, it was disappointing due to the hotel room and restaurants lacking power (from load shedding and insufficient back up power). The staff was helpful, although not quite efficient. However, this is a beautiful resort overall.

Beautiful hotel, the rooms are to die for,but not much to do de.I also felt that their restaurants service was one of the worst I have ever seen. It is one thing when a person serving you is unfriendly it is another when they are even frowning. I was extremeoheir staffly uncomfortable.

Stunning location, with beautiful views, great and efficient staff. I was so looking forward to our stay here but was sadly disappointed, our room (131) was not so clean, smelt damp, curtains were mouldy (did not take any pictures of the rooms, I was quite disappointed) but I gave feedback to reception. Otherwise stunning place, restaurants are near by.

This WAS a very nice hotel. But the staff's was very bad and rude, also the service’s taking so much time, and we love playing golf they were not allowed us to go to golf ! And the swimming pools were dirty, for a pricey hotel one can do a lot better. Not worth it at all.

Extremely poor service from the entire team at this hotel including the management. They charged my credit card with an amount that was not approved and have neglected to pay me back after 1,5 months. Poor service all around with no attempt to fix it. No one calls you back or replies to emails. Would not recommend

The hotel is a disgrace, owners need to close it down and renovate it, then train your staff properly and get active management. The rooms are disgusting I was bitten whilst I was sleeping by bed bugs, AC did not work and room stinks of damp. Do not bother going g to the country club for food it’s sub standard at best. My advice better stay away and go else where

4th night stay of a 5 day trip through the western Cape. Hotel is disrepair, damp in rooms, no hot water, sheets clean but duvet blood stained. Avoid the clubhouse, food and service terrible. Tried to get in touch with manager to discuss the stay but not available and has not returned the call. Have stayed previously, deterioration evident, very disappointing and will not return.
