Could not be more perfect. One of those hotels you remember for life. Also we had the honeymoon suite booked and got upgraded for free. Beside the beach and across the road from the restaurants. Hope I could live there:)

We had the most wonderful stay at Haus am Strand. The view from the Ocean Suite, upstairs was absolutely breathtaking. The suite was very spacious and had a nice balcony overlooking the magnificent garden and onto the beach and sea. We felt extremely comfortable and at home. Location is perfect, as you step from the garden directly onto the beach, and it is in very close walking distance to the village center, to restaurants, coffeeshops etc. We highly recommend Haus am Strand for all local and overseas travellers. Communication with Rita was at all times easy. Look no further. Haus am Strand is THE place to book! We will be back soonest.

Every moment of our time at Haus am Strand was fantastic!! Our room had the most stunning view of the ocean, with big glass doors that opened up to chairs where we sat in the mornings to enjoy the view and peaceful sound of the waves. It made it difficult to leave for our planned activities each day! We felt so relaxed and comfortable during our stay. Our room was very spacious and the location is perfect. It’s a two minute walk to the grocery store, most restaurants, and Milkwood Village. It is also a 30 to 45 minute drive to other wonderful areas on the Garden Route. We loved spending four days in Wilderness and are so thankful for the team at Haus am Strand for the wonderful accommodations!

The sunrise suite is wonderful. It is spacious, bright and beautifully decorated. A large patio with a stunning view of the wilderness beach. The beach is just a few feet away from the accommodation. A perfect space to chill and enjoy the beauty all around you .Very accommodating and friendly staff.

The room was clean and adequately stocked for self-catering. Nothing was amiss. The bed was comfortable and linen crisp and clean. Owner responded promptly to our requests. The beach is less than a minutes walk away, and the rhythmic sound of crashing waves is a constant reminder that you are literally on the beach. Highly recommend it.

We were back for our 2nd holiday, over New Year 2023 and although difficult to beleave, it was even better than the first time. Wonderful location, view and beautiful well equiped, clean facilities. We had the most wonderful stay at Haus am Strand. The accommodation (The Garden Suite) was stunning and very comfortable. We could watch the waves rolling in and out from our beds. We parked the car and walked everywhere as the little village and various restaurants are very close by. We took long walks along the beautiful stretch of sandy beach which was just a few metres from our room. It was like living in paradise. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly recommend it. Sheila & Sue.

Beautiful accommodations right on the beach. We had the “Travelers” suite which had a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, nespresso and kettle. Room opens up onto a courtyard right above the beach.

This is truly one of the best boutique guest houses in one of the most beautiful places in Wilderness. The service could not be better. We were welcomed with open arms, the rooms are well stocked with the essentials like coffee, tea, milk etc. The kitchenettes available have every necessary appliance and utensils. The rooms are incredibly clean and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms have jacuzzi baths and a shower. There are a few great extra features as well. A well balanced bookshelf, a smart TV with the works, great wifi, a communal braai area with awesome outdoor seating and music and plenty of extra blankets for the weather. The absolute best part though, is the extraordinary view from each room. The lawn outside has plenty of sunbathing chairs, tables and is the best place to soak up the sun and enjoy the ocean which is just a few short feet away. 10/10 all round.

Beautifully decorated rooms, lovely garden and outdoors right onto a perfect beach. Clean, and the luxury of serviced rooms every day by friendly staff. I loved the self catering facilities. Perfect location onto beach, shops and restaurants. Everything you need and expect for a perfect stay. And Rita is lovely . Definitely recommended

Haus am Strand was a magnificent experience. With Nick at reception - what an efficient hands on man. *The furnishing was very upmarket with attention to detail *The kitchen gave us everything that was required to enjoy meals. *The beds were dressed with luxury top quality comfort completed with warm gowns for us *Our Yorks hire terrier was warmly welcomed and accommodated *The view of the sea was spectacular *The garden had comfortable seating and was beautifully lit up at night with laser lights This is a Must visit again venue. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Our stay at Haus am Strand was sensational. It is located right on the beach. The room was beautiful, clean and exceeded our expectations. The beds were soft and comfortable. The view is outstanding and we received excellent service by the friendly and lively staff and owner. We will be returning soon!

We were warmly received by Nick, and taken to the Garden Suite. This is a very spacious room with large comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, and an amazing view on the sea. There is ample garden furniture, and several restaurants are a short walk away. All in all a great stay, we will surely make an effort to return one day!

WOW!!!! What a beaut of a place. A real gem. Where do I start? Great location. Straight on the beach and walking distance to local restaurants. Warmly greater by Nick and Mike, both very attentive and couldn't do enough to make our stay any more pleasurable. The reception and communal area was instantly calming with some very quirky features that really catch the eye. Out front there are plenty of sun lounges with access to the beach from mature gardens. We stayed in the ocean room. The views over the ocean are unreal whilst lying in bed sipping coffee. What stood out for me was the cleanliness and high standards this gem oozes. Everything was spotless and the attention to detail was unbelievable. Real perfection. Thank you for a memorable time.
