🫤 Lovely comfortable house, BUT river is polluted with no swimming allowed and beach not suitable for swimming either. Don't take granny or unfit relatives along - as the 61 steep steps up to home may have them unable to join you. Also remember to take your own soap and toilet paper! What a magical little hidden gem of a place. The beach is not quite swimmable with large rocks and quite violent waves but the views and the fishing are excellent. Feels like being in another private world. I stayed at Earth.Wind.Sea number 8. It was epic!

The best of 'both worlds' when it comes to the views... Not a bay for swimming at all!! But then, not far from Vic Bay or Wilderness beaches... If you are looking for an 'all nature' experience with stunning views and the sound of the ocean all day long, this is it...

We stayed at 21 Beach Road, Ballots Bay. It was a fantastic stay. The house was spacious and well equipped, we even had a pizza oven! The views were breath taking with a few short walks close by and quick access to the beach. The area was pristine. The cottage is perched on stilts with a hot tub flushed against an incredible view of the valley. We are definitely coming back to this beautiful little secret kept between mountains.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Treehouse. This gorgeous gem tucked away in the trees at the mouth of the bay was a real treat. The house is stylish and well-appointed, with all the necessary goodies to make your stay comfortable. There are some gorgeous trials with spectacular views throughout the reserve for the more active folks, and the birdwatching is second to none. And after busy days of fishing, hiking and birdwatching, what better way to end the day than relaxing in the hot tub on the deck, sipping a chilled beverage and watching the sun go down. Idyllic! #treehouse, #hiddengem

Half the fun was getting there. The narrow and sometimes steep road, the little bridges, the forest canopy etc. We made friends with the Loerie and other birds and of course the view was spectacular. No problem with the accommodation and facilities. Will certainly return.

A secluded and unique treehouse in a private nature reserve surrounded by pristine bush, mountains and with an ocean view. Very comfortable and well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine & tumble drier) 3 bedroom treehouse with a deck overlooking the ocean and mountains. Short drive from George, but completely private and tranquil, as you seldom see any people as the estate is completely private. The drive to the treehouse is quite the adventure crossing 2 rivers and going up and down the gorge, but it is very easy even with a small car (no 4x4 required). Baboons and monkeys occur naturally in the area, so good idea to keep the windows and doors properly closed when leaving the house (although they are not a nuisance when you at the house). The treehouse has a tv with DVD machine, but no DSTV, although with such great views on the deck one doesn’t require tv. The fireplace and ample wood available is great for those cold and windy evenings (even in summer). I had quite good Vodacom 3G signal, so one can stay connected if need be. There are 2 braai (bbq) spots on the beach, a definite must! Definitely a place to consider if you want to escape busy city life and be secluded. Definitely planning to stay here again.

If you had to ask me to describe my experience in one word what my stay and overall experience at The Treehouse was like? It that word would definitely be WOW!! I was and still is in AWE about my stay there. The house offers everything a 5 star vacation home has to offer and so much more! It met all of my needs in so many ways, I still can’t stop talking about how beautiful the house is , not to even mention the “picture perfect” surroundings. The mountain, the spectacular little pebble beach, the view, the silence, the birds – aaah, I can go on and on!! The photos really doesn’t do the place justice- it is so much prettier in real life! One cannot help to feel closer to God in this breathtakingly beautiful piece of heaven, you can see His Greatness and feel his Hand move there and touch you. I would not change one thing , as it offers so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, being there made so many dreams come true in ways I never expected… I will be seeing you soon again!!

What a magnificent piece of South Africa! The house is private and very well equipped and nobody bothers you there. It is clean and comfortable and quite high up the mountain. We went fishing and hiking on the rocks up the right cliff and also went hiking up the river to the small waterfalls. Very relaxing and still close enough to town if you need anything! A wonderful way to start a honeymoon!
