A beautiful, quaint place run by 2 beautiful souls - Gerald & JD. Never been to a more peaceful place. Can hear the ducks swimming at the lake in front. Both the hosts are really warm and friendly and will guide you to plan your days here. Had the best breakfast here, made with such zeal and warmth. Much better than most of the hotels.

We had an awesome stay at the Wilderness Manor. Everything was perfect. Spacious room, neat and clean and an excellent view. Very quiet and a nice place to rest. Breakfast was lovely and freshly made every morning. We will see you again soon! :) Wynand & Mariska Botha

This luxurious property; honestly the best we've experienced in SA, has the most amazing hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Daily turndown service is wonderful to return to after an crazy day of activity and lazy night in the village. 100% recommend to anyone visiting. Amazing views and photo opportunities, even from your bedroom!

There are not enough superlatives to describe Wilderness Manor. The warmth of the personal welcome and service given by Gerald and his partner JD plus the excellence of the accommodation is second to non. Its location just over 1Km from the N2 in Wilderness over looking the lagoon is idea for discovering this area if the Garden Route. We shall be back and staying for longer.

Gerald and JD are excellent hosts—welcoming, helpful, gracious and friendly. They made our first stay in Wilderness enjoyable with their tips on where to eat and on activities to try. The guest house is opposite the lagoon, and within walking distance of all amenities, including the beach. The sunset from their balcony was spectacular. The room and bathroom are spacious, have everything you need as a "home away from home", offers wi-fi and tranquility. The breakfast is plentiful, the coffee delicious, and the hosts go out of their way to ensure guests are happy. Not even loadshedding can dampen their spirit to please. We'll happily make a return visit.

Hosts Gerald and JD pay exquisite attention to ensuring your stay in Wilderness is memorable. The accommodation is beautifully furnished and impeccably clean. 3 of the rooms have beautiful views over the lagoon. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the restaurants in Wilderness.

Our stay at Wilderness Manor was wonderful and I give the experience 5 stars. From the moment we arrived, JD was at the door to welcome and greet us upon arrival with a smile! We immediately felt at home. Wilderness Manor is located on the mountain side facing the Wilderness Lagoon. 15-20 minutes walk from Wilderness Village center, past the common and Kingfisher trail. The service is impeccable, Gerald and JD could not do enough for us to make us feel more welcome and valued as guests. They are both completely knowledgeable about the area and gave us wonderful recommendations on how to spend our time, either dining or sightseeing. The room was luxurious and incredibly comfortable, a true 5 star rating. Breakfast was scrumptious with JD and Gerald on hand to cater to any dietary requirements or preferences. Wilderness Manor is elegant, tasteful tranquil and a truly magical experience for adults wanting a refined, classy and classic experience. South Africa experiences power outages everyday due to load-shedding, and the area does face water shortages. Check with Wilderness Manor how this may impact your expectations. Absolutely brilliant location, easy to find just off the N2, with a beautiful view across the lagoon. Gerald and JD run a spotless clean, brilliantly furnished establishment. They couldn't be any more welcoming or helpful, so that you can make the most of your stay in Wilderness. By the time we left, it felf like we were saying goodbye to good friends. Highly recommended.

JD and Gerald are the most attentive and kind hosts. The attention to detail in the house is amazing. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and relaxed in our lovely room with a balcony overlooking the lagoon. Certainly a great experience. Thanks guys we really enjoyed our stay
