We were blown away by the amazing views of the valley, watching the sunrise from the deck of our gorgeous cabin with beautiful decor and the attention to detail. The privacy, amenities and walking trails to the swimming hole and waterfall are an added bonus and made our stay at the lodge even more special. Our stay was rejuvenating, relaxing and so much fun. An amazing place to stay when exploring Wilderness and the Garden Route. Looking forward to our next visit!

The most beautiful and tranquil places I’ve ever been to. From privacy and views to the fine detailing of the decor including relaxation music playing as you walk in and a room diffuser going. The views are immaculate, high up in the valley is a mind blowing place to be with the bonus of still hearing the ocean. Goosebumps when I think of my stay here. Top class and a very sweet owner whom we ran into on our way to the waterfall!

We were excited to get to this lodge. Interesting now afterwards is that on google it appears to be run under like two names "Porcupine Pie Boutique Lodge" or "Nima Lodge" Clicking on it it leads to procupine.... Well we booked directly under Nima... It appeard all to be well documented, but then we had like 2 or even 3 pre-check-in and information emails and whatsapps at different times, which we also completed each time but also did contain various (different) info at different (earlier) times, which was kind of confusing already. Anyhow we made it. However, one whatsapp also confirmed that breakfast would be included, we would just need to reconfirm that we want it. We arrived: Keys in the room: no personal welcome or hand over. Very first impression: nice look of this Sand Lodge #1, but as we looked closer we immediately noticed a lot of flies in the room and also ants creeping around. OK: we are in a nature area.... BTW: getting there was OK with google maps, but saying this is also to be reached with ANY car I think this is a bit overpromising, especially on a rainy day like we had. But we were safe in a 4x4 on those very uneven (gravel) roads. And you are REMOTE - like VERY far away from anything.... literally.... People may like that, but it was not so much ours, especially as we did not bring braai items for the 2 days we "were forced to stay" as single nights are not even allowed. But beacuase of our other stays we hance had to even book 3 nights. But then we also noticed that the outside area is not as we thought it look like on the pictures being very limited in regard to the seatings but also views: more like a small balcony in front of the room. ANd very much limited views to large bushes and trees right infront. The pictures online much more made us thinking it is larger and more open. The night approached, all ok. Then first breakfast - which we then had to learn and understand basically afterwards we are charged for at 350 Rand for 2: being two small bottles o-juice, one joghurt glass, one glass of fresh fruits, 2 croissants, one mini glass of jam. No milk (for the coffee that was in the room already). This is really very limited valling it a breakfast for 2 and then even of that charge. For next day we requested more jam at least, and also milk and then were told: tomorrow will be fresh quiches... Well OK. Night arrived and same again regarding flies and ants in the lodge that we had to spray away... - but now even worse we were already welcomed by a huge spider outside and finally met another big one inside the room.... That gave me hell of an afraid and hardly any sleep. Next morning: breakfast did first not come as promised at 9ish, but after asking, and admitting sth went wrong on their side, it finally arrived around 10ish... But then with half frozen "fresh(?)" quiches - at least some milk this time. Anyhow: we indicated that we had a bad night due to the spider in the room and also indicated that we hance will no longer stay. It was said: 'We are sorry', but well: thank you: night was ruined.... I think it was due to the entrance door which is not latching well and there is a huge gap where I must believe the creepies come through.... But it is just guessing... And again, it is very remote: nothing is around, you cant even take a walk other than walking down the steep gravel road.... So for us, it was not a pleaseant stay. Then we even had some discussions regaridng the cost of the breakfast - which I finally gave up to argue.... And we even moved out a day earlier due to the creepie experiences and no word or even indication of a possible discount or similar.... OK, but again then the discussison even regaring the cost of breakfast.... Not professional and welcoming from our perspective. We know many other lodges being somehow remotely on a hill or in forests which we do very much recommend. But Nima (or here now Porcupine or sth) we cant really recommend accordingly. But of course, other may see that differently....

We had a wonderfull stay for 3 nights at the sun cabin. So easy but lovely designed, great hottub and outside bbq with a nice view. Good value for money, a steep ride but completely fine to do!

This is the most beautiful place I´ve stayed. Connect with nature and the essence of the calm of South Africa.

Absolutely stunning it's our new favourite hideaway for when we need a break. Everything about this place from the location to the decor and the rooms themselves is just outstanding. We stayed in one of the Sun Cabin but we're definitely going to do the Sand Cabin next.

Aesthetically Nima is amazing. I was on my honeymoon so I was very excited to experience this space. We stayed in the Luna cabin and unfortunately the water pumps for the entire place are underneath this cabin and directly under the bed, so every 3-5mins it goes off rattling the entire room made it hard to have a good night sleep. And also if you are allergic to cats there’s a cat that stays in the Luna cabin and unfortunately made my allergies quite extreme. So overall it is beautiful and a wonderful setting just did not have the relaxing experience I was hoping for…

The stay was so lovely we are already planning on going back but for longer next time. We stayed two nights, recommend three nights minimum. The attention to detail at every level is so appreciated and felt. The resident cats are also the sweetest! The honesty shop is beautifully stocked with a curated range of essentials, and the views are unbeaten! All in all dreamy! We stayed at the Sand Cabin 3.

Even the drive to nima lodge is an adventure. We stayed in Luna cabin, its amazing. It has everything you could possibly want. We only stayed 5 nights, wanted to stay longer. The breakfast delivered to your door is delicous. It's so relaxing and tranquil, I would recommend Nima lodge to everyone driving the Garden Route.

We stayed for a weekend at Nima Lodge and it was incredible! The cabins are built for optimal views, there’s beautiful finishing touches and very peaceful. Highly recommended to get the breakfast as well!

Such a special place - quiet, spectacular views, comfortable and pretty well equipped for a stay. We were staying in the sun cabin, which also included a wood fired hot tub. The views were really the best thing about this place along with the peace and quiet you wake up to. The road there could be a bit treacherous, so take it slow and you’ll get there. I wouldn’t recommend on doing it at night though. They did send detailed instructions pre arrival with all of the relevant information. All of the check in and check out process is touch less, and we barely saw anyone around, except for the person who brought the breakfast basket to our room. They have an honesty shop that is pretty well equipped, but probably getting you groceries at the supermarket will be a smarter and cheaper move. It was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it. We stayed for one night, but I would recommend on staying for more, if you are into it, just because of the road there.

We had the best time at Nima Lodge. A great place to relax and unwind. The location and everything else worked out perfect. We will definitely be coming back!

If I could score Nima Lodge higher I would! What an absolutely stunning place (stay at the Sun Cabins) and the VIEWS are to die for. Definitely a great place away from the city for some peace & quiet. The hosts are SUPER helpful & go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable! Definitely coming back!

Eternity here wouldn't be long enough! We stayed in one of their Sand Cabins, and it was incredible. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the lovely robes in the bathroom, the cooking and eating utensils to the amazing amenities: the braai, the hot tub and the gorgeous bathroom. They have truly captured a piece of heaven. Such a relaxing and calming space, and would love to go back again and again. Thank you Nima Lodge!

I was drawn to the Sand cabins from the very beginning and decided to book 2 nights stay for Christmas. It is such a beautiful place, the architecture blends so well with the scenery. We loved our stay so much and appreciated the day manager Stacey for always being there to answer any questions we had. We’re already thinking about the next time we return!

We booked 2 Sun Cabins at the beginning of December 2022 and just fell in love with Nima Lodge and the Wilderness. Even though there is a water shortage they made sure that we had water in the hot tubs and had a back up generator so that during load shedding we still had power. The cabins are beautifully appointed, and the little shop to buy some food and drinks was a winner. If you are looking to truly relax this is the place, we will definitely be booking a longer stay next year!

We enjoyed our stay at the Luna Cabin so much. The place is amazing en the views are stunning. It was great for a couple of days of relaxing after traveling from Johannesburg all the way to Cape Town. 10 out of 10 would recommend! Go here. (Also highly recommend to picnic basket)

The property was exceptional. The location is so serene and peaceful. The views are beautiful. It's a great retreat to distress and recharge. The interior of the Luna cabin is airy, romantic and calming. It gives off Netflix and chill vibes😉. Everything was just exquisite👌🏾. (side note: it would be advantageous to add a microwave in the kitchen🙂)

What a great escape it was at Nima Lodge! From the moment you drive into the property, to opening up the room, I was in awe! From living in the garden route for some years now, this was absolutely such an incredible experience! With their Honesty Shop, if you happened to forget something, be sure to know they will have exactly what you need! Loved it all! And have already recommended this place to many friends and family!

Absolutely breathtaking stay at the Nima Lodge Sand Cabin. From start to finish we were blown away by the beautiful interiors, the small touches that make all the difference and the overall comfort of the place. Highly impressed and we will be back!

Unbelievable stay at Nima Lodge!Outstanding accommodation with such tranquility and breathtaking views. The Sun Rooms were stylish and kitted out with every necessity. Would highly recommend the Waterfall Trail followed by a lounge in the hot tub after.

One of the most private and relaxing experiences. The wood for our wood fired hot tub was wet but Anthony, the owner, quickly came to help us that evening to get the hot tub hot and also provided us with dry wood for the next day! The views are spectacular! Perfect for a weekend getaway, birthday celebrations or in our case, our 1st wedding anniversary! Super service, thanks guys! My tip would be to load up the hot tub with wood when you go to bed and also get it started first thing in the morning to enjoy sunrise views in style!

Everything was perfect. We stayed in Sun Cabin 1 and it was magical. Peaceful and quiet. Everything that the cabin was equipped with, was perfect. I can definitely recommend this place to couples for a romantic getaway or just a break. The hosts are amazing!

Based on reviews and some research, we booked 5 nights at Nima Lodge which would be in the middle of our five week SA trip. We were not disappointed… This place is fabulous! If you want total peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. Set high in the hills with stunning views all around including sunsets and sunrises, walks to the waterfall, great breakfast, it was perfect for us. Our extremely spacious room, the Luna Cabin, had everything we could have wished for including a very friendly cat who we would love to have taken home! The road to the Lodge seemed a little challenging at first but once done it was a piece of cake and actually quite good fun.

We stayed at the Luna Cabin for our first wedding anniversary and it was the best decision we made! If you are a "nature loving person" that is the best place to stay. The morning sunrise, birds chirping, private pool, hot tub and the stars at night were just some of the things we loved the most. The cabin was way bigger and more beautiful in person. The hospitality was 100% on point! We would definitely love to go back soon.

Stayed 1 night in one of the Sun Cabins. Truly magical experience. One of the most well appointed spaces I have stayed in. Really can't fault them on anything. The View, the hot tub, the fire place just wow !! Great linen super comfy bed and couch area. Loved our little picnic styled breakfast delivered to our door. Thank you was just amazing.

Nima Lodge Wilderness is one of the most spectacular properties we’ve had the pleasure of staying in. The new sand cabins are worth the few extra ZARs. From the seamless self service check-in, to the sweet breakfast delivered to our door at 9am sharp, everything was perfection. The views and the hot tub 🤩 Candice being so available for any question or concern was so comforting. A tip: Take food to make dinner as you won’t want to leave. Beautiful experience. Look forward to being back soon with friends.
