Our second time at AfriCamps but our first time at Oakhurst. We had a lovely time relaxing in nature. It’s so peaceful and feels like you are far away from it all with just the sounds of the birds. We really enjoyed the walk through the woodland, having coffee out on the deck in the mornings and watching for shooting stars and satellites from the hot tub at night. I cooked my first potjie whilst there too (I am from UK), was very fun. The fact this was a working Dairy farm was an added bonus and we enjoyed the tour and seeing the calf’s feed too, so cute! A really enjoyable stay, I hope to bring my family here when they come to stay :) thank you!

My 1st ever AfriCamps experience & it was AMAZING! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with such warmth. Our stay was so tranquil. The farm is absolutely beautiful and it was so interesting to learn about the history of the farm - like the church, which was built in the 1800s and still looks incredible! The fact that the history is incorporated into your stay is truly unique. We really enjoyed our stay. It’s secluded, but close enough to the town, should you wish to go shopping/sightseeing. Thank you to everyone at Oakhurst Farms for this one-of-a-kind stay. Your love for the farm can be seen and felt.

A nice "glamping" experience, you can buy almost any supplies required at the camp but be prepared to pay heavily for whatever your need at the camp, so come prepared with whatever supplies you deem necessary. But clean facilities and good service. Does not rate a full five-star rating, there was a very loud mechanical noise one morning, I think it could have been a leaf blower or lawn mower, or something similar at around 05:30, not a great way to wake up ...

By far the best africamps location for family trips. I wish we could have stayed here for longer. Playgrounds, cows, mountain biking, fresh food, a hot tub, great views and good maintenance. Great surroundings near the beach. Will visit again!

Great great geat! We stayed in a tent, very good! Enough space. Kitchen. AC. Hottub. Shower, toilet etc. Very beautifull complex. Nice trail. Cool playground for the kids. Store in front has good dishes and other stuf. Monkeys in the area are very cool. Wifi is good.

Wonderful road trip experience, disappointed that there is no swimming pool. The resort only has a dam pool for guests making use of the glamping tents.

Had a glamping tent for 2 nights. This place is really peacefull with cows around you (in case they come close). Hot tub was really hot and nice. Tents are clean and perfectly equipped. Had some fresh milk from the farm for free. Very friendly employees there.

Perfect getaway for some peace and quiet. Lovely hot tubs and has a very romantic setting in the Forrest. There is also quite a few outdoor activities to keep you and your family entertained, like hikes, archery and other things. The service is top quality and the people there are always friendly and helpful. The Cafe is stocked with essentials, if you forget to pack anything. You can also get some fresh baked cake and very good coffee. This is my favorite place to breakaway and I'm sure you will not be disappointed - whether you are a local or a tourist.

This was a truly magical experience. Family friendly, comfortable and tranquil. The staff were friendly and helpful, the tent was clean and cosy. We truly had an amazing time. Only word of caution is that the shower water temperature went from ice cold to boiling hot. Maybe it's part of the glamping experience? All in all, we will definitely go again! Big thank you to the hosts.

We had an Unbelievable unique stay here. Our Family with two young kids (11 months and 4 years) stayed in the tents and they were spectacular. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the farm itself is beautiful and a real treat to be able to experience. They have thought of everything you might want or need during your stay. They have also really nailed the classy boutique feeling while keeping the entire stay and experience authentic and environmentally friendly! The star of the accommodation: the wood fire hot tubs! I will be seeking out africamps for future stays!

What I loved the most about this place was the fact that, even though the weather turned out rainy, it still was a good stay. The scenery and just being in a forest was calming. And we could stay indoors and enjoy the fireplace and braai. The personal touches made it worthwhile, I currently don't eat meat and our host made sure that I had a vegan/vegetarian meals to enjoy. And they delivered breakfast items at our door in the morning. Also, they prepared our hot tub before we arrived 😄 - which was amazing. Because after a long working day I could jump in relax. 😌 There was a lot of activities, my favorite was horseback riding.

What an amazing weekend we had on our family reunion. Beautiful hikes, archery, stunning scenery, all whole experiencing the calmness of farm life. The AfriCamps give an awesome glamping experience. Or use the cottages for full utilities.

Awesome rustic experience with all the usual kitchen utensils and appliances to contribute to a super glamping experience. Beautiful rolling green hills from patio and enjoyable hiking walks all within reach of one's campsite. Great outside spa tub with fire wood for heating.

What an incredible stay!!! Hosts went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic stay on the Oakhurst property! Definitely somewhere we will return to. Beautiful forest walks, awesome mountain biking, fishing galore and the ever famous hot tub, something for everyone irrespective of age or activity level. Rain or shine, there was always something to do. Personally I just loved the cows 🐮 🐮 🐮 😂 Thank you for a truly memorable relaxing stay!

It will be hard to visit another Africamp and not compare it to the wonderful experience we had at Oakhurst. The unit was of high quality, if you close the entire tent no wind or bugs enter. The furniture and beds was descent quality and better than some at other well known local resorts. Our visit occurred over a rainy weekend, the heated blankets, aircon and indoor fireplace made the stay cozy and lovely. We had loadshedding the Friday night but generator kicked in less that 30 seconds later. We requested that the hot tub be heated on arrival, the team outdone themselves, so much that we had to skip the Friday dip as it was too hot (tip ask that they start warming the tub 2hrs before your ETA). We had no difficulty heating up the tub and did not use as much wood. The real charm and beauty of this farm, occurs early morning. I woke up to a field filled with hundreds of grazing cows. Breathtaking and food for the soul. Cows were sensitive to noise so stay quiet and have them visit for a little longer. I recommend a dairy tour, to learn more about the incredible art. A late afternoon stroll took us around the farm, with some historic insights. Check out the old church building. Due to weather we did not complete the hike but the short hour walk promised an incredible trail. The farm is fairly quiet and more suitable for couples or adults. Although many kid friendly activities. Things to consider when booking- the braai and breakfast basket was not ideal for our needs. We did not eat most of it and rather purchased our own food, which was a cost we did not plan to incur. If you love sitting around the fire, eating and nibbling away, pack your own food. At night the outside light is not sufficient, I would suggest that Africamps add additional lighting or tell campers to bring some extra rechargeable lights. On rainy days it gets muddy so prepare to have dirty shoes or pack some boots. Fridge sufficient for two people but if more bring a descent cooler box. For extra privacy take tent 4 or 8 Overall this was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

We are staying in their glamping section of the farm Beautifully set up with luxuriously comfortable beds and very well equipped. Spotlessly clean and in such a stunning setting. Their are 8 glamping tents well placed and very private. I can highly recommend staying here.
