A cozy spot with great food, amazing service and friendly staff. They have a great selection of vegetarian options with great value for money. The Zucca pasta with tagliatelle was delicious and hearty. The Pomodoro pasta with tagliatelle, however, being the namesake of the restaurant could have been a bit better but was great none the less. Definitely a restaurant worth visiting if you are in the area.

Absolutely amazing service, from entering the restaurant we where greeted very warm and friendly, to Claire who gave us amazing food recommendations. Just an amazing place and the best authentic Italian food. (from the crazy table who shared everything.) Also the best Lemoncello I have ever had.

Pomodoro has a great atmosphere and we had excellent service. The owner is very friendly and makes your dining experience feel special. I would highly recommend this as a first option when in Wilderness.

Went for breakfast.. Again, awesome service and good food. Value for money for all the wonderful food you get. Wonderful food and service. T-bone was excellent.. The gnocchi was pillow soft and very yummy.

My family and I went out for dinner at this restaurant that transports you to Italy 🇮🇹 Lovely atmosphere and the service were good. We went for early dinner so it was not crowded and had our meal in reasonably good time frame My son loved the pizza and both hubby and myself had the veal sambucka which were very tasty indeed. Enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.

I was pleasantly surprised by Pomodoro. I'm a celiac which means eating out can be a bit of a challenge, as it so happened, our lovely waitress Nikki is also a celiac and she was very happy to advise me on what was safe for me to eat. I had the Gorgonzola pasta (with gluten-free pasta) and the Limoncello Panna Cotta and the food was excellent. Nikki was very friendly and helpful and I really appreciated her recommendations. We were just passing through the area but next time I'm this side this will be my go-to for delicious authentic Italian food that I can safely eat.

I had one of the most delicious pizzas ever at a lovely café on George-Wilderness road. They serve fantastic Italian dishes, and the staff is great with quick service. If you're craving tasty Italian food, I highly recommend this place!

Our second time at Pomodoro. The food was great and the Staff (Christo) was awesome. I can recommend this restaurant for a 5 star experience.

Lovely firewood pizza’s! The best. Big. About R160 a pizza ( March 2022) Worth it. I ordered the one with fig on it, which gave it a sweet taste that went well with the meat. Loved it. Love the decor. All the tables have a cherry mosaic design. Very cozy ambiance. Will definitely recommend as one of Wildernesses gems. Parking limited. Not overtly child friendly, but can work.

Absolute must if you want a very decent pizza. I like the fact that most tables are outside, perfect for a lovely day out in Wilderness! It warrants an authentic Italian experience. Think the pricing is a bit stiff though, therefor a 4 star rating. But I really have to compliment our lovely waitress, she rally does know all the dishes without any kind of hesitation. She also made a couple of suggestions to our party which went down really well. I was even asked if I am OK with my choice of pizza, being a bit spicey. Kudos to her for more than excellent service! Highly recommended!

What a fabulous find! Buzzing this evening when we arrived and we were given a cosy two seater behind the pizza ovens. Fantastic service from Claire - really a superb waitress - and an excellent menu. We had to go for the pizzas and they were huge! Might have liked a bit more tomato sauce on hubby’s pizza (or olive oil to moisten), but other than that, faultless. Affogato for dessert was yummy too. Might be back tomorrow to try your pasta! Thank you!

Amazing Italian restaurant. Fantastic menu and authentic Italian fare. Wood fired pizza made the Vero (true) Italian way. Prices are reasonable and service is fantastic.

A very popular restaurant in Wilderness and therefore quite busy so I would recommend booking beforehand. Friendly service and great food. It's a bit crowded and a little bit pricey, but the menu is posted on here, so you should take a look.

Pomodoro has been a constant spot in the ever fickle restaurant business in Wilderness. After last night I'm sure that they will not easily see my business again. We phoned for a take away pizza order of 5 pizzas and were told it would take half an hour. When we arrived 30 minutes after the order we were told that the pizzas were being boxed. Then 20 minutes later we were told that the pizzas were being made. We were also told that pizzas take long because they are a pizza restaurant?????? Not sure about that logic. What was most disappointing was the actual pizzas. Very little cheese and hardly any toppings. Almost as if they had run out of ingredients. Everyone felt that they needed to eat something else after the meager offerings of the pizza. Just all very underwhelming and not up to the usual standards. What is particularly sad is that during this lock down we would have probably made use of their services quite a lot. Not going to happen now.

Easy to see why Pomodoro has been in Wilderness for so long, we have often driven past, to our own detriment. A nice place to have lunch after tackling the 7 passes road. Good honest food, great service and nice atmosphere. Such a pity we are in lock down and could not have a glass of wine with our lunch. We will be back again in a year

Disappointed after going there for years. Prawn pasta was dry. Lasagne was tasteless. Foccacia had no olive oil on it. Service was great but that doesn't make up for our poor meal.

I simply loved this Italian restaurant!! Its a "must-do" to experience. The best pizza I've had in a long time ( it took me right back to Italy, Naples to be precise). It doesn't matter what you order...its that good! So if you passing through the Wilderness, or staying at a hotel/ Guesthouse in the area, do yourself a favour....stop....and experience a little bit of Italy and you will not be sorry!!!! Waiters are good, food didn't take long, prices were reasonable....*atmosphere was vibey and cosmopolitan....you could have been anywhere in the world.
