This is arguably my favourite local Indian and probably the best in Hendon. We have dined here, ordered takeaway and used for catering service. Location of the restaurant is literally next to the tube station. The portion size for starters and curry is extremely generous unlike other places. Pricing of the food is arguably better than most Indian restaurant around the area. So all round 5*.

Came here this evening for my wife’s work do. The starters were superb the portions were really generous the variety here is really good with great vegetarian options in abundance. The various breads that came with the mains were also amazing everything was so fresh and tasty the main dishes were also great portion sizes , it all came at the same time not in shifts which I really hate especially when there’s lots of guests. The service from everyone was attentive and the beers were lovely and cold and reasonably priced unlike most overpriced pubs these days. Arena is definitely a restaurant I will come back to with friends and family. Seriously good Indian food

This restaurant sports bar venue offers wonderfully cooked curries. There is an extensive menu showing a choice of vegetarian as well as fish, seafood, chicken & lamb dishes. All the curries are quite authentic & tasted delicious. We waited quite a long time for the mains, but I can say it was well worth the wait. These were the best curries I’ve tasted in Hendon for a long time. This is an Asian Sports Club, popular with the locals of all races. Everyone was friendly. No membership is required. The bar & restaurant service is friendly & the restaurant staff polite. The venue usually has live TV football & sports showing. Later in the evening it plays modern dance music, played a little too loud for my taste. I found it hard to have a conversation without speaking loudly. The venue is underground & the air quality can be poor when it’s busy, especially for anyone with breathing difficulties as I have. There is air conditioning, but the management, when asked was reluctant to turn it on. They opened a few windows instead, which helped a little. Interestingly the windows open onto the platform level of Hendon Central Tube Station. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Really good food and great hospitality. Good place to watch sport too with a good mature crowd!

The Indian food here is truly fabulous. Great service from all staff, nice place with pool table. They will make a vindaloo on request and it is absolutely incredible, very spicy but such good quality. Naans on the small side. I’ve eaten in and had numerous takeaways - the best quality and value Indian in the local area - and I’ve tried them all! 100% recommend, well deserved.

What a great place, bar/restaurant is fantastic, greeted on arrival by pryanca ( may not be correct spelling) , very welcoming and took my order which was chicken jalfrezi but extra hot, which it was, very hot and very tasty, great value and service, special thanks to pryanca very good at her job, service cannot be faulted .

Have visited here several times. Would advise to book in advance just to ensure you can get a table, especially if the football is on. The menu has a variety of vegetarian options. Food is fresh and tasty. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Great food for great prices and great service. I have now beenthere more than 10 times and each time I was happy to return. This remains a quirky jewel of a restaurant in North London, which is very accesible via car and tube (Hendon Central). I have gladly brought friends and family here for nice dinners.

Heads up bring your own tupperware!! The food is actually pretty decent, but the service really let's this place down. It's quite easy to over order especially in a group and you would usually expect the restaurant to let you take the food home in a food container given the amount of drinks have been consumed on top. Here, unless your a regular, alminium food containers are not given out. This I will point out is when you use the meerkat offer, which shouldn't make a difference. This is the third time now this has happened and when I go with friends that go there regaurly theres no problem over taking food home. If the manager wants customers to come back then they should change how they treat clients. Really no need to be tight over inexpensive aluminium food containers.

Private party and around 50 guests! Staff on hand for all our needs and a rapid pace! Food came out professionally! Plenty of space and good pricing on food and drinks! Dance floor and space for a DJ! 10/10

Outstanding place, been going here for years. Never lets me down and high standard of Indian food and I've been to many place. When I have good food at other places, I compare it to Arena as the bench mark.

An absolutely amazing restaurant/pub. Run by some of the friendliest people in the area, Arena offers a wide repertoire of delicious Indian dishes, all at very affordable prices. I highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic food, service and environment. Very safe and family friendly but also very good for watching sports games. They have their own league quality pool table and they have won many trophies too. Big Liverpool fan but all fans come to watch in a safe but electric atmosphere. Thank you very much we were 30 of us and we were looked after so well. Everyone commented on the tasty food veg and non-veg as well as drinks, music and watching live games. Chef specials were very good.

Went for dinner here for the second time over the weekend. Incredibly good starters, better than most I've had. Main curries were good too but could have done with a bit more salt. Did take a little while to get the food but worth the wait. Overall a very good experience

The menu gives a decent variety and about half which is vegetarian and half that is vegan, so plenty of choices. Staff (Prianca) have always been helpful when making selections. The drinks on tap are a decent selection. I've had both Guinness and Neck Oil. Both tasted good. Several screens for sports, a decent music system playing appropriate music and a pool table. I a manage a starter, main course, and a drink for less than £30.

Best curry I've had in London for years. 4 of us went here on Saturday evening to eat. Hidden below Hendon Central Station, the food is unreal, seriously, the food is so good. We had chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and their mushroom rice is just amazing. The venue is a sports bar, but don't let that put you off, we went with my 8 year old niece, on a Saturday night between 8-9pm, the bar wasn't very busy, and we sat at the back of the restaurant part. It's not noisy or loud, so I think the atmosphere is fine, even for people with children. Definitely recommend this place for good Indian food at good prices.

Great food, reasonably priced. Friendly staff, good place to hangout for few drinks & indian food. Good selections of vegetarian options too.

Good bar. Food menu is pretty good too, wide selection of Indian dishes. Bar offers a number of good beers too. They also serve plantain, cassava and chilli chips. Great place for a decent meal and a chance to watch some live sport.

Really good food. We were here for the world cup final when service was a bit delayed but the food made up for it. Good value drinks too.

Came here more then 3 times and it was always 10/10 the food is delicious I would say the best chicken Tikka masala and butter chicken curry I had since now. Staff and the service is perfect. Would recommend this place if you wanna try indian cuisine.

Great little place that is easy to miss. Right next to Hendon Station exit, its just a doorway at street level. Saw the reviews so we looked for it as had already walked past it earlier without noticing. So glad we did. The bar staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. It's a relaxed atmosphere and not pretentious at all. Plenty of screens showing sports and music videos and is actually quite a decent size with lots of tables. It is both a bar and an Indian restaurant and the food is very good, our meals were right up there with some of our favourites. Will definitely visit again when next in the area.
