I thought this was a great watering hole to visit in central London before me and my partner went across to the dominion theatre opposite. Great selection of beers and ales, and a silly amount of spirits and wines to accommodate most pallets. The best part of our visit was the downstairs bar which we didn’t know existed until we couldn’t find seats upstairs. We found a nice table down there and watched some sport whilst the tunes were on. Great vibe all round. Would pop in here again.

I visited in the middle of the week, early afternoon, it wasn't busy. What I can say? Cosy Victorian pub, nice cold lager, candles on the table, mirrors and painting everywhere... I really did enjoy my pint 🍺

Speedy service by on duty barmaids. Beer (Nicholson’s Pale) was in good condition and so we ended up having a second pint each. Lovely interior for a pub in the West End. Beer prices a tad steep but in central London as a visitor, there are expectations that food and drink are sadly poor value for money. Glad I no longer work in London. The hand dryer within the gents did not work. I noticed a PDQ for £2 tips unless I mistaken?

Stopped off here after an early show on a Friday evening. It was very busy to start with, with after work and pre-show drinkers. A traditional London Pub, great beers, friendly staff, good atmosphere and sports shown on 2 screens. Toilets are down a steep staircase in the cellar. There is also the St Giles Bar in the cellar which can be booked for private functions.

Had a couple of pints in here. Was only going to have one but the pub was weird. I love a weird pub. Full of characters. There was a pissed guy shouting and just being ignored by everyone. A dude with a bookies board in his bag was routinely shouted at by people walking past. Don't know what's going on. Don't care. Love it.

Great bar staff and drink selection in a building that just oozes that classic, British, London feel - almost mini-cathedral like inside!

Great old pub with fantastic original decor of wood and tiling. Great beer selection too for the real ale contingent and a modern vibe for the more contemporary. Don't miss.

Nice pub on Oxford Street. Lack of keg pale ale or IPA but otherwise a good beer selection. Fairly busy on a Saturday as expected but got a table after about 15 minutes

super sweet traditional nicholsons pub right near tottenham court rd underground station. they don’t serve food but have an array of nice snacks, LOADS of beers on tap and cool basement bar area that can be rented out. beautiful building with lots of cool history, and lots of room to sit. would recommend if you’re in the area!

Nice little pub, beer was tasty and well kept. Seating upstairs and downstairs both had a good vibe and atmosphere. Music was good too!

Beautiful pub, lovely atmosphere, great staff. But Siham was the one that made it a 5 star experience. I’m coming back soon. I hope she would be working.

Friendly staff, good selection on tap of both ales and lagers and even a few ciders. Reasonably priced for the location and seemed quite clean however the toilets weren't great at all which soured the visit.

Such a beautiful pub, the staff was lovely. I would definitely recommend for anyone that’s looking for a cute pub in Oxford Street.

The staff were nice and a bit of variety in the beers available, but the location of this pub means it is astronomically busy.

Good ales. Friendly welcoming staff. Didn't do food but were happy for us to take food in. My only criticism is the cubicle in the gents. You have to be an acrobat to use it.

Great spot. Staff were so friendly. Busy upstairs but quiet in the basement with large tv and second bar.

I went into the 'flying horse pub' to celebrate St. Patrick's day. I liked the relaxed, happy atmosphere, what a jolly pub, with nice, jolly, friendly people. I had such a fantastic day. I can't wait to go again. Oh yeah! the staff were friendly, and happy. Thanks for giving me a fantastic St. Patrick's Day.

Both my wife and I popped in for a quick pint before a show. A prime example of how a pub should look, feel and be run staff were quick to react to our order pleasant and timely. Both my wife and I are publican's and commend all staff within. A good pint of Guinness!

Only been here twice so far but it's nice. Good beers and friendly service. Gets very busy as its very central and sadly no drinks allowed outside but they do have a downstairs bar. No kitchen or food.

Trad London pub convenient for some of theatreland. Kind barmaid helped me down with my drinks as they had no trays. Downstairs seating too - makes it bigger than it seems from the road. Good option if you want to show a visitor a London pub while on the way to a show in that part of town. Right by Tottenham court road tube too which is great. Bit noisy as they had football AND music on upstairs. Downstairs was just the football but still too loud.

Extravagantly decorated little pub. Lots of colour and character. Sky light is colourful glass dome, go and have a butcher's....

  • 4/5 Steve H. 1 year ago on Google
Staff were great, the pub had a nice atmosphere but there aren't enough tables and the prices are on the high side even for London.

Friendly helpful staff, great selection of drinks, old school boozer decor - especially good range of non-alcoholic beverages.

Cannot go wrong. Good service, nice atmosphere. Only bad thing maybe toilets are small but that's not the main reason you go to the pub.

We came in to watch some football after a day of shopping! Great atmosphere, nice selection of wine and beer, even got a gin recommendation from the staff who were super friendly. They have a nicely air conditioned basement bar too. I definitely recommend in the area!

Ideally located for a quick pint while visiting Central London on foot. This pub is air-conditioned and has a fair amount of seating. Great selection of draught beers.

I've been looking for a new pub to go to, and I found Flying Horse! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great selection of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Anything from your favorite pint to your favorite soda. And the food is also great! It's not too pricey either, which is always an added bonus in my book.

quite a rare gem near tottenham court road station, one of the last traditional places standing. the decor inside is absolutely gorgeous with art decorating wall to ceiling and the bar is quite big so you're sure to find what you're looking for. would recommend if you're in the area!
