Lovely Atmosphere and aesthetic. The pub was very busy so you had to be sure to reserve a table if you wanted a Sunday roast. Very family oriented lots of families had booked and seemed to be having a lovely time, my family included. The roast we had was delicious especially the red cabbage. Excellent selection of alcoholic drinks also. The only thing that would have made it slightly better is if they offered additional gravy as the food was delicious but there wasn't enough gravy for my liking. However, I will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

We stopped off after visiting a local market nearby! We were surprised to see a small queue, when we asked what was happening someone told us it had just opened for the day. The pub felt welcoming and the dark wooden interior was nice, the pub is well kept and clean. They have lots of seating outside too, although weather was sunny it was a bit cold so we sat indoors. They also have a large conservatory where lots of families decided to eat in there. We only sampled their hot chocolates which tasted nice we ordered them again straight away! We viewed the Sunday menu and they had various roast dinner options including a vegetarian option, I think it was a nut roast. Most of the customers were regulars and appeared to be happy with the service and their food! We also noted that although their were some small children and dogs, all were very well behaved. We noted we were sat in an Adults only area which was good so we could converse without small ears nearby. Our experience was so relaxing we intend to revisit again at some point!

Beautiful pub in East London lovely atmosphere and amazing staff, I used to live in the area 15 years ago and found myself there on a Sunday looking for a Sunday lunch. Food was brilliant, glad we stopped off ✨

Possibly the best Sunday roast in London. Absolutely delicious feast, everything was perfect. Having been there before the non-Sunday roast food is fantastic as well. Great craft beer menu, kid friendly (there’s a little train for them to ride!), adult friendly (there’s a ‘no kids’ area), dog friendly… they cater for all!

First visit in 2021 and think it might have shot right up into my top 5-10 pubs in the world. Fantastic selection of good quality drinks, incredible menu of really interesting dishes, a really welI designed interior that's amazing for both the summer and winter, a cracking garden with stunning tropical plants and A TRAIN YOU CAN RIDE ON

Great pub, it's a large space, so usually you can find a seat. It has lots of beverages and varieties of beer, cider and mixers, it's a family-friendly venue. Lovely outside areas to sit in and divided area within the pub. The food is very nice and fresh. There's a small model railway priced at a pound for a few loops that runs outside in the beer garden. This is a rare and great addition for families that want to entertain the kids whilst having a pint. Overall, it's a great experience

Absolutely one of the best roast dinners I have ever had. The roast potatoes were top tier and the vegetables were not an afterthought but a stunning component of a glorious whole. The beef was delicious and generously served. The gravy was glossy, thick and inviting. The pub was rammed and even though our large party ordered separately, all the food came out at the same time. I thought the staff did a great job of staying calm and delivering despite the pub being full of large festive parties with many small children. I noted an adults only area which I thought was a great idea for those without children who would rather eat in peace. Bravo, a perfect place for large groups with kids, nice atmosphere, beautiful classic pub with fantastic food to boot.

Another beautiful place, helpful service, nice and quiet, right by the huge park. Simple menu, nothing pub-traditional but easy and healthy.

Visited yesterday, found the prices expensive and the service poor. Took a long time at the bar to get service, and there is no app or table service to make an order without heading to the bar. The food portions were small for any price, let alone the price here. The train in the garden is a nice novelty, however it badly needs the plants cutting back so they don't hit people in the face. The train driver needs to understand that slowing the locomotive over the set of points and then accelerating while the carriages are still passing over is uncomfortable and a rough ride for the passengers behind him. Maybe put a sign or marker for him to know at what point the last carriage is clear ... But continuing the theme of a rough ride on the train, when we were riding it the train came off the tracks and we had to climb over the train and a fence to get back to the pub, drivers comment: "that happens sometimes".

So far one of the most beautiful pub I've visited in East London. Great for families with children, there was a small train going around the site, very funny. The staff was not polite, after we were eating and drinking (so we've spent quite a bit) I've asked to have a bit of milk for the baby bottle and she charged me £1, so disappointed!!

Very beautiful pub run by cool crew. We went with friends and our two dogs, so we had an amazing time with our roasts and drinks. We just missed riding the tiny train even if we're in our 40s 😁

This pub, seems very nice, even posh some would say. The food has always been great. Lots of outdoor seating, it's Testament to how many people eat here and enjoy. There's even a miniature replica train that goes around on the weekend. I would happily come back to the venue.

We went to the Holly Tree for Sunday lunch. Good food, good choices and plenty of it. Good selection of wines... we went for a Malbec which we really enjoyed. We had the option to sit in adult only section, which we liked as I wanted to catch up with a dear friend without kids! However there are areas for families and clearly a venue popular with children Something here for everyone!

Cool pub, food was sooo delicious. In my opinion it is one of the best burgers in the region, you should try it! The fish and chips were great. Good portion size. Will be back again for sure. I loved it.

First time here. Great atmosphere, very warm and cozy. Friendly staff Try the mulled wine. A little pricey but worth it. We'll be back.

Both me and my wife visited the Holly Tree for the first time and have to say the place is great, it has a large inside seating area and a large outdoor seating area with a good selection of drinks to boot with ok prices as its more of a gastro pub. It seems every so often they have something going on each night like a quiz night, for example, but this place is more than just for adults as kids on the weekend, if I'm not mistaken can, kids can ride a small train for the price of £1 between certain hours. That's right a small train. And if that's not enough they do have food options available but make sure to check times as the kitchen closes at different ti.ea of the day and in-between different times as well.

What a lovely, quirky pub. As visitors from outside London, we were delighted to find a place so friendly and characterful. We were made to feel really welcome and found the food and drink excellent. We will definitely return.

Lovel pub, with covered outside seating. On Sunday they have a roast menu with good portions. There is also a mini railway for the young ones which starts at 2pm. The pub is quite large so there is always places available.

This is the best roast in London. Meet and vegetables are cooked to perfection. I’ve been here 4 times, I always order the same thing and it never lets me down.

It's alright. The building & garden are a lovely, place to spend time in. However I've found service at the bar hard to come by, staff are a tad slow, unknowlegable about beer/ale. And apart from the Sunday roasts (which are good) the food is odd. I feel like I should enjoy this pub a lot more than I do?

We had our book club Christmas dinner last night in the conservatory at the back of the pub. Much thought had gone into decorating and warming the room. It was very lovely, Christmasy and welcoming. The food was really super, large portions and very tasty. The staff were superb - very patient, attentive without hovering, everything ran very smoothly from beginning to end. Thank you for a very special evening.

Great venue. Lively atmosphere but with enough space to stop overcrowding. There's even a space for adults only. Food (we were there Saturday lunch) was excellent. Good flavours and portion size.

Great pub, Sunday roast was the best pub roast I've had in a long time. Nice interior and we liked how it has family and adult only area. Staff were a little slow and not very with it...maybe Sunday hangovers!?

Yet another pub in the area which has had an extensive makeover with seemingly a lot of money spent on it. Nice interior with a huge huge beer garden. They have train tracks running through part of the pub /garden I suppose as a novelty. Didn't really impress me, especially as the train was chained up inside!! Definitely an improvement from its previous incarnation.

Amazing pub. Best beer garden in London with fun atmosphere! Staff are always so friendly and helpful even when it's packed! Excellent craft beer selection and great wine menu as well as a good non-alcoholic range so caters well for everyone.
