I live in Norwich since five years and I have been in this fantastic pub restaurant only recently. Now, we are going here almost every weekend. They serve very nice food as you can see from the pictures. The menu is rich. There is also a nice garden on the back with tables. Moreover, they are dog friendly.

We had a lovely meal here. I didn't want a massive plate of food so I had a children's roast chicken dinner , not alot of place's allow this so a gold ⭐ from me. My partner had the mozzarella balls with salad & my son had the tomato with cheese pasta.The staff were lovely. All in all we had a great experience thank you 😁

We went for the roast as we had seen really good reviews but was very disappointed. Had the roast beef, the beef was cut so thin, it was stringy and fatty I couldn’t even eat it. Hardly any veg , 1 carrot. Got a bowl of some cabbage on the side. Yorkshire pudding was completely bland, not really any seasoning on anything. Cauliflower cheese wasn’t creamy looked like scrambled egg. Only thing we did like was the gravy. My husband and myself both didn’t feel it was a big enough portion either, especially for the price as it was as over £16 a roast. We won’t be going back, was very disappointed. We also waited 40 mins for our food, a lady on her own walked in after us, seemed to be a regular and got her food way before us straight away, which we also didn’t like either.

I came here on a sunday evening and it was so quite and beautiful! I was outside where they got heating lights. I really want to come back but at night! Where all the beautiful lights will be on. I will come back! Oh! You can also bring your dogs! 😊

4.5 stars. The Sunday roast was really very good. Located just a 15 minute stroll from the city center there is a reasonable amount of parking. Tables inside and also a lot of space (and tables) outside. We had the whitebait as an entree and Sunday roast beef and Sunday roast pork. All excellent in quality, quantity and taste. Service also good e.g. checked in to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Definitely worth a visit!

A large family table booked - firstly the food took ages to arrive, the portions were mostly very small, considering the prices. The table was never cleared of drinks glasses. No one asked if we wanted desserts, and they couldn't split the bill on the payment system. Not impressed . It was family visiting from overseas and a birthday. Very disappointed 😞

Visited The Eagle today for lunch with my mother and a friend. Food arrived and as it was placed in front of me, the first thing I noticed was a long black hair wrapped around a fry (we are all blonde). I notified the waitress who said nothing but promptly took the plate away to the kitchen. A few minutes later my plate was returned and I was informed my fries had been replaced (not the whole meal). My burger had now cooled down quite a bit but as we were short on time, I ate it. Having worked in hospitality, when our bill arrived, as a gesture, I had expected something (my drink, my meal, or a portion of it at least) to be taken off. I understand these things happen, even with precautions in place. To our surprise there was no reduction or even an apology. We made a mention of this and the server took the bill to speak to her colleague. They spoke amongst themselves and returned telling us that since they replaced my fries, they would not be offering anything further (clearly not even an apology). The server proceeded to say had I mentioned the hair at the end of my meal and the fries hadn’t been replaced, then the meal would have been taken off the bill. She remained quite defensive about having replaced it and that’s where it stands so we left it alone. Paid my £16 for a luke warm burger and won’t be back.

Atmosphere amazing. Well kept, and very clean plus the food was amazing. Highly recommend. We went for lunch. Good selection of wine. Service on point. Has a lovely garden too which I can imagine is great in the summer. Highly recommend 👌

I usually have the pork when I visit here and the pork is divine however I thought I may try the chicken and although it was nice it was a bit boring, and not as flavourful as chicken can be. My other half had the beef and it was very tough, he had to have a steak knife in the end to cut it. Also there was not much veg.

Food really good. My Hake and Artichoke was hugely enjoyable and the service from the young girls was also top notch. However the interior resembles a hairdressers, no style whatsoever and the acoustics terrible. Just a crescendo of noise.

Lovely lunch with an interesting menu in a lovely location, nice garden, outdoor covered dining area. Dog friendly. Plenty of parking. Good value.

Emily was only too kind to serve us when the weather was amazing by bringing the drinks to us in the garden. Proactive and attentive staff are the ones who deserve recognition. Emily is one of those all day.

The place looks very nice inside, there is a big garden and plenty of space to sit there. The food was very tasty, the service was attentive and polite.

Called in here for lunch today. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I don't think they could have accommodated us better. The food was excellent, too. Oh, and the goth waitress with the sword necklace was gorgeous. Thank you so much, I'd definitely visit again and knowing that the venue is dog friendly, next time I'm bringing my huskies.

My husband and I ate there tonight and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. From the excellent service to the delicious meal there was nothing not to like. Especially recommended is their smoked haddock and leek gratin. Well, done chef, well done staff - 5 stars richly deserved.

Love this pub! It looks great, has a brilliant range of beers on tap, and some funky cocktails! Staff are really friendly and nice, and the food is excellent. Don't go as much as we should as it's not particularly near, but always lovely.

We spent 3days in lovely Norwich + this comfy, friendly pub was just a long from our hotel. We didn't eat there but called in for drinks each evening. Nice atmosphere + friendly staff.

What a gem of a meal. Reasonable price and outstanding quality of food.

Had a chicken Sunday roast here which was absolutely delicious, and also been here a couple times for small plates, the cajun fishcakes are delicious and as always the sticky toffee never disappoints. Highly recommended

I was expecting more, perhaps that is why I felt a little disappointed. Menu & food was minimalist. Beer & cocktails were good, service friendly. There was an apology on a chalkboard for the renovations in the dining room. I asked if that was why the menu was so small, apparently not. Gordon does say to keep the menu simple I suppose.

Had a lovely family meal here for my son's 21st birthday. Food was very good and our lovely server was the best. Highly recommended!

Really good food, I highly recommend the Norfolk pork belly if they have it! The larger room on the right as you go in feels slightly like it isn't finished being decorated as all of the paintings/pictures/posters are all down at one end. I really enjoyed the environment, it wasn't busy so it was quiet and peaceful, the food came super quickly and the servers were really attentive!

Nice and friendly . We had a meal and there were 12 of us . OK we pre ordered but it arrived on time and all were served nice and quickly. Good beers so the beer drinkers said. Would definitely go again

Lovely place to eat and drink. I've been the on a Sunday for a roast dinne, week nights for some dinner and sometimes just go for drinks. It has a lovely garden and indoor setting. This pub will cater for all your needs.

Great space, cosy pub but huge outdoor space with a small climbing frame if you have kids (roughly 6-10years). They appear to have a outside kitchen but didn’t see it. Definitely go back for a causal drink with friends. Menu lots amazing but didn’t try it.

A very nice pub! Really good food, lovely selection of ales and beers, friendly staff, pet friendly place and a prompt service! We went as a group of 12 and still got our order in time , all together on the table and hot! A job well done! Ample onsite parking. A really nice back garden with a play area for kids! Loved it!

Lovely Sunday lunch! Table outside which was chilly but worth it in corona virus. Great staff who kept checking in on us despite being outside and who wore masks throughout, and good one touch policy on drinks glasses. Little car park out the front which was sufficient but could be quickly filled in a busy day. Dog friendly in the back garden, no idea about inside. Food was really tasty and great portions sizing. Only improvement I'd ask for would be a jug of gravy but that's probably gluttony rather than need, as there was enough on the plate. Desserts were good. I had thought that the "chocolate pot" would be a hot dessert but it wasn't - in these corona times it might be a useful idea to reference these on the menu for outside diners to know how to warm up! Would love to come back soon x

Lovely pub/restaurant. Large outside area with seating for the warmer days and evenings. Good menu and the food is excellent.

Good pint in a nice pub, food looked and smelled great but I didn't have any. Big shady garden, perfect for a pint on a hot summers day.

As always a wonderful experience at The Eagle……but tonight was exceptional!! The welcome was friendly and professional…..the menu interesting and varied …..the food was amazing…..I had the halloumi with sweet potato fries ,salad and pomegranate with the most amazing lemon drizzle….it was delicious…. My son had the Beer battered haddock with hand cooked chips, mushy peas and the most delicious tartar sauce……. The service was very friendly very professional very crisp and clean recommend the Eagle to anybody and I will always be going there 👍🏻

Was really disappointed with my meal went there to have a nice meal for my husbands birthday wanted some thing nice been there in the past and had good meals , so expected the same last might ordered Ribeye steaks £25 each meal when the meal came it had a pepper corn sauce with it and it was like water no peppercorns really runny the steak was very fatty we both ate about half our steaks but struggled to eat them because of the fat we complained to waitress who by the way was very nice , but no money was knocked off meal or any offer of free drinks or dessert to make up for the experience of spoiling an occasion which should of been nice , we asked for a doggy bag for the steak which they gave us the dog loved it but what expensive dog meat £50 for 2 meals the chips and tomatoes were nice but you really expect more than that for that money , also the menu was much smaller than we remember and the whole place looks like it needs a revamp won’t be going back and won’t recommend it

Loved the food. Amazing. Service brilliant. Place has changed a bit since I last went, probably 25 years ago but the toilets haven't. Clean. Needs TLC

our food orders were sent in advance... Everything came out on time great starters, the main course of Turkey was excellent good selection of fresh vegetables,alas no sprouts which was a shame having said that could fault the food.. Service was excellent ...

Wonderful food with very friendly and attentive staff set in well furnished surroundings. The portions are substantial and everyone enjoyed whatever they ordered. There was a reasonable choice for vegetarians, though the Miso Glazed Aubergine starter was absolutely the highlight of the meal. If have taken a photo to show, but it would have been of an empty plate!
