After reading the reviews I was a tad sceptical. However today I decided to go. What a lovely surprise. Fantastic COVID protocols in place, by the way.....except when customers just ignore staff and walk in, then probably complain about service, but nobody showed them in.....and hereby disturbing their COVID system. Well disinfected tables between clients I noted. Excellent view....beyond comparison! But the food....very generous and tasty positions that arrive piping hot and the beer ice cold.... We had a starter portion....it was much more than expected🤗❤️ Excellent friendly and efficient staff! Very happy with the level of service received here.

I got a good service I don't have any complaints. My children wanted spur ribs as take away and they enjoyed them. The lady at front desk was friendly 🙂

The view is great. Waiters are friendly. Our favourite Spur. The only down side is that the play area is a bit dark inside - easily fixed with better lighting.

This Spur really go out of their way and the food is brilliant. Thank you for the kind service and great night out for our family.

The hostess was the rudest staff member I have encountered. Didn’t greet us or even show us to a table. The atmosphere was horrible and we ended up walking out. If I were the owner, I would really consider a change in staff as lots of customers will walk out looking to spend their money somewhere where they will be appreciated.

I really enjoyed the experience as you can see the open ocean in front of you while enjoying your meal. I ordered the chicken snitchels and the food was really good. Chicken was cooked perfectly. With the covid restrictions we were seated and the tables on all sides was closed to maintain Social dictance. The restourant made us feel welcome and the waiter was nice. When the kids play in the play area they have to wear masks, sanitize and no food or drinks was allowed. I did not feel worried about our safety as you can clearly see they obay the covid rules and when you go on vacation and you want to go out this is one of the safest places in the area of Hartenbos

Worst Spur I have being to in South Africa 1. Had to ask for service when we arrived, waiters walked past us 4 times and not helping 2. The cappuccino we ordered was wrong without cream as ordered and tasted like school hostel coffee, worst I had 3. The steak we ordered was cold, we requested it to be heated, but still came back not 100% And no one came back to check if all was ok. 4. The reception was so busy with other work and had no urgency to assist us with paying, Will no visit this spur again and will not recommend to anyone, stay clear!

Terrible service. Ordered takeaways, person taking order on phone have no idea what spur has on its menu, said it will take 15 to 20 minutes, we arrived after 25 minutes in an almost empty spur, after waiting another 45 minutes the food arrives, some cold some warm so things got mixed up in kitchen, when we arrived home some of the food was not what we ordered, tasted average at best, and for all that spur is one of the most expensive places in town these days. If you want a terrible experience go there, otherwise stay far away.

What a terrible experience. The shot glass was broken, we waited 30mins for them to "buy shot glasses" it was watered down. But fine. When the food came, a used piece of lemon was placed on my plate (smelt like fish) i had chicken. The waitress didn't even apologize. Just insisted on bringing the check so she didn't have to deal with us. HORRIBLE SERVICE

We visited Takoda Spur today and had the power up Combo. Very dissapointing! except the chips and onion rings. The meat was Tastless, overcooked and way to crunchy and dry. I would not reccomend it. We had a very talkative and friendly waitress, but paid no attention to us during our visit, only saw her the times she brought the food, not once did she come to ask if we were okay or if we needed something.... Very dissappointing experience :(

Tokada Spur really is the best place to take your family and let the little once go and enjoy themselves. I always enjoy their Nachos and breathtaking sea view never gets a day old. The service always makes you feel at home and never had a bad experience with them in the past 15 years honestly. Hope they stay for another 15!

My first visit. We went early morning. It was cold that morning and we got to sit in the sun with the stunning view of the beach. The food was delicious. While waiting for our order the kids played a while and throughly enjoyed it!

We ordered the “Full Portion” of Chicken schnitzel. We were two men. It was the size of the half portion? We asked the waiter if it is the full portion to which she replied yes. We were shocked and the worst thing was it was dry and stringy. Was very disappointing for my guest. The chips was also unattractively white and almost cold. We were both hungry still afterward for a plate of more than R150??? When we complained the waiter said sorry, ‘sometimes its big and sometimes its small’ and walked off!!

Hi we came all the way from George to celebrate my older sisters Birthday but unfortunately our service that we received were awful Tokoda Spur need to learn Management. 1 Our waiter wasn't in a good mood , 2 then my wife find a piece of plastic in her milkshake, 3 after everyone enjoyed their Waffle's and me and my wife's milkshake then we ordered Coffee and tee for my wife we waited 40min only for the Coffee after i finished my coffee only then the waiter bring my wife's Tea and at that time the Spur wasn't even busy. Im very sorry but our experience with Tokoda Spur was not nice and they will not see us again. Regards: John Terblanche

Table not clean, waterpool? on table, waiter was unfriendly and rude...... service utterly slow although the place was quiet. And lastly the "happy birthday song" sung to other tables clients sounded like starting a war....screaming and clapping with no context as to "happy birthday"....... the poor people looked terrified! There is much better places that deserve the income......

Terrible service. Waited over 40min for coffee. Waiter another hour for unreal breakfasts. We had to ask where our waiter was. Three times we had to go and ask where our coffee and food was and we had to speak to 2 different managers to complain. There were 4 tables that came long after us, they were served, ate and left and we were still waiting for our breakfast. We spent almost 2.5 hours there just for a breakfast and coffee. Dreadful experience.

SPUR Steak Ranches were great up to around 2010, but since then they have not kept up with the times. The meals are average and the burgers are debatable (some people love them and some hate them – I fall in the latter group) I went there to meet there and the only thing I find acceptable is the steaks which are mediocre at best. The Ribs I must admit are good as well. The décor looks like it has come out from the 1970s. It is wheelchair friendly and situated in a mall, so plenty of parking. Service was average; for me, there are far more newer more exciting chains out there. I am sorry it is usually the last chain I go to and usually for a particular reason

If I could give them a 0 for poor service I would. Waiters faught about who is going to serve us. Ended up not being served. Called manager and afterwards our order was taken. Only half of the order arrived. No drinks order were taken. When we ordered ice-cream after our meal. It took 20minutes to arrive and it was melted. Really not a great experience.

Great view, friendly staff, but unfortunately the nachos we ordered was terrible, definitely something wrong with the mince, left more than half the plate, my husbands breakfast was good, but the mince not great. We didnt want to return it as there was a few tourists and we did not want to put them off but I feel like the waiter could have noticed the discoloring etc.

Worst experience ever! Not even 1 star worth No castle light available Wrong wine served after waiter insisted it was the right wine,who will know better I wonder.Burger patties was not up to standard It didnt look and tasted like the original patty The burger rolls was also not fresh We will try Mossebay's SPUR next time

We ate here twice in the same week because the food and service is really good. We also saw sharks through the window the one day and it was the first time I've seen sharks. We had different waiters on each occasion but both of them were so nice and fast. We really enjoyed it here would 100% recommend.
