Excellent viewing spot. On your right the old bridge for the steam train. 1923 i think?

Passed by there and stopped to show clients the beautiful natural view before entering George from Knysna. A must stop.

A magnificent place to explore with rugged and breathtaking nature. There's an abandoned railway over the water that offers a unique walking experience. However, please exercise caution as the bridge is not stable. It is advisable to walk along the rails rather than the sides of the bridge. Additionally, for safety reasons, it's recommended to visit in a group. We had an unfortunate experience of being followed. As for the caves themselves, they are exquisitely crafted and give off an almost surreal ambiance. It's hard to believe that people actually live there; it feels more like a museum. Nevertheless, it's an absolute must-visit location.

Interesting. Christian people, a little bit hippy from my point of view. They say its a healing spot. Its the right mix out of mystical, scary and artistic. If you come from the beach side parking, try to find a small way through the bushes up. If you find railway trails, you found the way. Just follow them. Hidden :) Parking -> go away from the sea towards the small hill > look for a small way up. its uphill from the parking and some private properties. If you come from the other side (bridge), no idea :)

I saw this place on the map and I was curious to see it: the best decision! We parked the car on the beach and walked on the train tracks, through the tunnel. You will find the cave right outside of it. You can donate 25 rands per person to visit the cave and I would say it’s absolutely worth it. It’s a very strange and unique place, that you have to see with your eyes to believe. After visiting the cave, one of the men who live there took us on the bridge on the opposite side. Three of us couldn’t manage crossing it, despite his help, so he stayed with us and talked about his life and the cave’s history until our friends came back. It was a wonderful time! I hope I will come back one day, as I’m very curious to see what will happen to the cave and the people living in it.

Just a short 15 min relaxing walk from linkiesklip car park towards George on the railway you'll come to a mystical cave where you will wind (Cliffie) The Cave Man. For a small donation of ONLY R20 he will take you on a magical walk and guide tour through his home. Where you will find 8 beds a kitchen chill areas and pray shrine. His a wonderful humble soul. Who look after other people and help them aswell by feeding them and house them. It's pritty safe considering signs of high mugging area on route.... We are in afrika people a hike in nature also unsafe if you don't pay attention and wonder down doggie ally ways 😏 This however is not unsafe but as always be aware and safety in numbers. Take some snacks and a drink and enjoy the adventure Know I'll be back there soon to visit and enjoy a glass of red wine with him

An amazing gem next to the N2 highway. Hire a canoo and search for the hidden waterfall or take a kloofing trip up the gorge on the other side. Or simply chill at the restaurant and enjoy a beer and a pizza.

Could not visit the cave because of the recent crime wave that has happened in that area, as well as the criminals waitings for tourists above the tunnels.
