We stayed at the Tierkloof eco lodge. It is so well set up with an Evo pool, a lovely boma and comfy glamping tents. Beautiful hikes around the reserve with beautiful scenery. Highly recommended

We loved our three night stay at Fossil Ridge Eco Camp. Beautifully laid out. Both tents have plenty of privacy tucked away amongst the thorn trees. The bathrooms Were spotless. The kitchen was well equipped. The eco pool, although chilly when we visited in winter, was gorgeous & worth a freezing dip. A short path from the pool leads to a level area wth two deck chairs with stunning view. Ideal for sunset drinks.

Would recommend if you love nature and adventure! Please note that there's no signal but only at the lodge. Plenty to do from Bird watching to long and exciting mountain hiking. 10/10 would recommend for decent price overall!

Most amazingly nice camping site. Only 2 sights well maintained with Braai lapa and chairs. Ablution's very very clean and nice. Nice and quiet and relaxing. Rest of the park looks exceptionally well maintained. Well done Cape Nature.

We were so welcomed by the staff. Beautiful reserve. Relaxing. We unfortunately only spent the day but will definitely be back to stay for a couple of days.

Fantastic weekend hiking up to Oukraal hut on Saturday then down again on the 4X4 route today. Facilities are brilliant, welcomed courteously by staff on duty. Well worth a visit to a beautiful area. Thanks Gamka.

Mountaneous unspoilt nature at it's best! Nature reserve managed by Cape Nature. Normal vehicles can access main camp near northern entrance through unpaved access road. Self catering accommodation available. Day hiking on various footpaths can be done. Vehicles with 4X4, high clearance and low range can negotiate the various roads in the nature reserve. Roads into mountain are very rocky and narrow and extreme care is needed to prevent tyre damage. Spectacular scenic views from top of pass. Excellent drive for 4X4 enthusiasts and nature lovers. Proteas and mountain zebras are further highlights.

Fantastic place to visit with so much to do to suit all ages. No wonder they are rated top 50 in Africa- from professional staff to well appointed, clean, exceptional accommodation and fantastic info boards along all the hikes. The best feature was our pool at Xami eco lodge. We will be back!

One of the nicest nature reserves in the country. And so we'll managed by Cape Nature.

Arriving at Xami was an experience not to be missed. The tented area looked perfect and the eco pool so inviting. This little gem is the perfect romantic setting for a couple and a wonderful honeymoon location. I was curious to find out how well stocked and in shape the cooking facilities and cooking tools would be found and I was not disappointed. Everything was so clean, neatly placed and totally adequate. There is a large fridge/deepfreeze complete with 3 filled ice trays, braai tools, even matches to light the gas stove, large modern shower and a very comfortable X length king size bed. Sadly, nowhere to put personal items or hang clothes. The eco pool was a wonderful way to cool off. Thankfully we had cool weather so hiking was even more of a pleasure. The only concerns I had, was that we were told we could only arrive at 14hrs or had to pay for another day. No amount of questioning the amount we had already paid for the day, made any difference. By the time the reception arrived and all the particulars were completed, it was another hour before we reached our camp. A complete waste of a day. The Manager never arrived to give us the promised “instruction” sheet and when we called the “EMERGENCY” number (and general contact number), there was no response. Other than that, the camp sites are wonderfully set out and I highly recommend..

The best kept secret in the Klein Karoo! Best value for money self-catering accommodation (with eco-pools for summer), challenging 4x4 route, campsite, hiking trails, and rock-climbing sites. Home to one of only two remaining original Cape mountain zebra populations. Friendly staff and well-managed nature reserve.

Loved our stay here, very neat and got everything you need, the only negative is that i had to take a cold shower in winter as the gas was finished. Very refreshing in 6 degrees winter morning....other then that I loved it.

Just outside of Oudtshoorn on the road to Calitzbdorp sits this gem of a nature reserve. It offers overnight accommodation from campsites and cost-effective converted stables to more luxurious tented bush camps. The Tierkloof offers hikes including an overnight route to Ou Kraal on the plateau as well as rock climbing routes for the more adventurous. There is also a 4x4 trail for 4x4 enthusiasts. A wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy. The night skies are especially wonderful.
