We got a recommendation for this restaurant.... I'm so happy we followed through with going here for dinner. This was an amazing Mexican restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious! Its a nice cozy place downtown Plattsburgh. Very welcoming atmosphere. The owners were extremely friendly. We got the Sampler Platter and then we got 3 tacos. Everything was very tasty. The dessert, chirros and ice cream was delicious as well. The Mexican drink that they let us try with cinnamon in it (can't remember the name) was really tasty. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Great little Mexican place we found while headed back from the Vermont Ferry. The food slapped harder than expected, HUGE portions, fun atmosphere. We saw tons of locals come in for take out, but you're allowed to stay and eat at any open table. The guy working the counter was super friendly, and seemed interested to chat. All and all, don't miss stopping here for a great meal, and some pleasant conversation.

Genuine smiles and authentic Mexican food can be found here. Every bit of the experience at this restaurant makes you feel like you've walked into a family gathering. The owner welcomes you with a huge smile. You can sit where you like in this quirky cantina and the waitress will come to you. We had a garbage burrito with chicken and asada and a plate of carnita fries. Still had leftovers. If you are looking for completely homemade Mexican fare, this is it! This family will feed you! My only complaint is you have to pay for a small thing salsa and chips. Which given the prices and time you wait for your food I honestly think should be complimentary.

This place has my heart. Everything I’ve had just tastes so good and I never can get enough. Only complaint is they aren’t open 24/7 !

Lomelis is fantastic food made by fantastic people. The family owners are Some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Chimichangas are 6/5 stars. Worth every penny.

Meh. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but I've had Taco Bell with more flavor. I ordered the 3 tacos with chicken. Good presentation but flavorless. Also, call me crazy, but I don't like fatty chicken. Seems like poor cuts of meat. I had to spit out pieces from two of the tacos because (a) I couldn't chew it, and (b) fatty pieces of white meat chicken are disgusting and make me wanna puke.

Absolutely amazing family owned business. The Asada Fat Girl fries are to die for, you can absolutely tell everything that leaves this kitchen is made with love and pride. Thank you guys for feeding me consistently and ill be back again and again!

I ordered the el gordo and a horchata and it was amazing! The horchata was very sweet and lovely, and the el gordo was just the right amount of savory and seasoning.

This place offers a dining section, but is only a take out, you will eat out of the take out container if you choose to eat on site. The selection is OK, the food is OK, the portions are generous... But while waiting in the dining room, we saw flies... more than just one... enough said...

Ordered from lomelis recently and I gotta say I was very pleased. We got the garbage burrito and the fat girl fries, both of which are delicious but don’t feel particularly Mexican - they’re probably catering towards college students. We also ordered the birria tacos (2 tacos and plus a little bowl of consomé) and wow - they were delicious. I would order the birria again every day of the week if I could. This was seriously one of the most flavorful things I’ve eaten in Plattsburgh. Can’t wait to go back to try the other dishes they offer with the birria.

Waste of time and money, we will never return. Don't be fooled into believing they make real mexican food! What they made us wasn't worth eating! Our food was brought to us in take out containers and plastic utensils! We did not enjoy our dine in experience, and opted to pack up and leave. Our food was disgusting and most of it went in the garbage.

I got the nachos, and they weren't exactly what I was expecting, but for some reason, I've been craving them all week, so I will be back! Also, the portion was giant, which allowed me to eat it for three meals-- amazing!

Stopped here on a whim - Taco Tuesday! Uncomplicated menu, have the option 9f ordering online, via a QR code, or at the counter. Very pleasant staff, and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend the Birria Tacos.

Wow! Great food and super friendly staff. We had the Super Nachos and asada tacos. Definitely loved them. The asada was perfect!

I order 1 Sampler plate, 1 super nacho, 2 soda and the price was going to be $81. I was like what the hell keep the food, talk about taking advantage taking price couching to a new level.

Love this place so much! The food tastes very tasty and authentic. Service is quick and friendly. Tacos are the best and try upgrading to the Birria Tacos for an extra kick.

My coworkers and I adore taco Tuesdays at Lomeli's! They offer a nice selection of authentic Mexican cuisine; I think we may have tried almost every item on the menu. The El Gordo, Fat Girl Fries, and Birria Taquitos are rich and flavorful and are some of my favorites.The business is family owned and operated and has a friendly and enthusiastic staff you can see hard at work through the large windows at the entrance anytime they are open. I would definitely recommend Lomeli's to anyone in the mood for some really good food!

Love this place, best Mexican food I’ve ever had. (Even having been to LA a few times) The family is absolutely awesome and we will make the trip just to go there!

Their food is inspired by the Californian type Mexican food. At least, that's what I taste when I eat it! It's nice to have something closer to the Mexican food I grew up eating on this side of the US. Very delicious. Sometimes the hours are odd, but when you catch them open, it's definitely a treat!
