A
friend
and
I
dined
at
Off
The
Rails
this
evening
for
the
first
time.
We
made
a
reservation
for
4pm
and
were
seated
immediately
upon
arriving
at
the
restaurant.
We
started
with
a
couple
cocktails
off
the
menu
-
the
Raspberry
Margarita
and
Perfect
Paloma
-
both
of
which
were
delicious.
Next
up
we
ordered
the
crispy
harissa
glazed
wings
to
share.
If
you’re
a
chicken
wing
fan,
these
are
a
must-try.
Sauced
up
something
fierce
but
still
crispy
skinned
and
wicked
juicy
with
bold
flavor.
Best
wings
I’ve
had
in
a
very
long
time.
For
my
main
course
I
had
the
VT
Piggy
Flatbread.
This
was
by
far
the
best
wood
fired
pizza
I’d
ever
had,
(and
that’s
saying
a
lot,
as
Bluestone
in
Waterbury
was
my
go-to
restaurant
before
it
closed
-
if
you
know,
you
know).
To
me,
a
pizza
is
truly
exemplar
when
you
take
a
bite
of
just
the
crust
-
no
toppings
or
goodies
with
it
-
and
it’s
got
the
perfect
combination
of
wood-fired
crispy,
soft
squishy
dough
and
smooth
flavor.
This
pizza
had
it
all:
pork
belly,
baked
brie,
pickled
onions,
apple,
bacon,
cheddar
and
maple
syrup.
A
beautiful
creation.
Throughout
the
course
of
our
dinner
I
also
tried
the
Coconut
Mojito
and
Bees
Knees
made
by
our
very
friendly,
attentive
and
knowledgeable
bartender,
Lena.
This
was
truly
a
meal
to
write
home
about.
If
you’re
On
The
Fence
about
Off
The
Rails,
consider
this
your
sign
to
give
it
go.
To
the
Owner
&
Chef,
Shawn,
and
GM,
Katie,
cheers
to
you
both.
What
a
beautiful
addition
to
the
town
-
you
should
be
proud.
I
can’t
wait
to
visit
again
soon.
