Very popular lake, especially among Georgian people. It became so popular, therefore so polluted. 🐷 People go there in every season but the most visited time is autumn. The lake is located in the valley of Dzama river. 1313 meters above sea level and it is habitat of near-threatened species of newt (Caucasian triton) Road was bumpy, but as I know it is much more good condition right now. Anyways, it would be better if you go there by 4x4 car. Last part was muddy. Some people really like the place but presonally I was not impressed. This lake is really picturesque and in reality it's not as impressive as in pictures. So don't expect something special.

Very beautiful lake. Road to lake is about 3,5 km from main road and its lil bit hard to go up, but down at the start of the road are located private cars (land rovers or hihglander) and you can ask driver for transportation to lake (you will like this off road))) ). Car service fee is 10 lari per person (transportation up and down in 30-40 mins). There was not signal for calling or internet, so make sure that you go with a group of people or someone who knows the way around/guide (as you can get lost there because of many different wayas of road). Upstairs at the lake area you can open tent (camping) and stay to enjoy with amazing sky and stars.

A remote and serene place, a must visit if you're into hiking trails. Do notice that some areas are muddy so wear good shoes. If you're not into hiking, you need a serious offroad vehicle to access this place.

The road is so long that at the end you expect more beautiful place than it actually is. A little bit of disappointing, but still nice place to visit.

Had to hike up the mountain for nearly two hours so prepare for a long hike ahead Had murky paths and slopes so I'd advice you to wear proper hiking shoes(no white shoes please) and also, there would be no signal for calling or internet, so make sure that you go with a group of people or someone who knows the way around (getting lost there is not something you even want to think about) But if you are an adventurous person and love nature, trust me, this is definitely gonna be fun and a place you need to check out

I just relaxed there. And way was not difficult. You need good boots for hiking. Remember that. There is wet ground until you will be there so good hiking boots is very important. Forest is incradible. Dont forget to go there with fresh food you can cook everything but very important is to find place which is allready used to cook - dont leave your trash please!

Nice lake in the middle of mountains, beatuful mixed forest the road ro the lake is in poor shape. Need 4x4 or walking for about 1,5 km

Nice place in the nature but quite crowded and littered. No spot for camping, no wood.

Bateti lake is very beautiful place and road is easy, but after rain the road is very muddy and you have to wear hiking shoes when you decide to go hear.
