A gentle ambience paired with soft lighting and inviting decor with a perfect atmosphere for relaxation
The atmosphere is great, with spectacular views. Went for an event, would recommend the place for group hangouts and small events.
I visited this bar few days ago after finding it on a Google search. Yes it's a beautiful bar with lovely views of the city. However we weren't told they only accepted cash and don't take card payments or contact less. We also didn't get a bill with any itemised info, just told that 4 drinks cost 3000 bir which was crazy. We were escorted to the closest atm with rudest man in Ethiopia to pay him. Most definitely wouldnt suggest any foreigners to go there period! I went to the Hilton for lunch yesterday and the bill there for 2 burgers with fries, a pizza, 3 beers and a soft drink was cheaper then DUSK.. I would suggest you really look into customers rather than your tiktok.
I recently attended an event at Dusk Addis Rooftop Lounge and utilized their services. The experience was enjoyable, offering a fantastic view. Our order of meatballs with fries was delicious, complemented by cocktails. I did find it peculiar that payment was requested upfront, and regrettably, we didn't receive a payment receipt. Has anyone else encountered a similar situation during their visit?
⚠️ AVOID THIS PLACE! ⛔ Cheeky thieves! About a week ago I went to this bar, ordered a beer and it was quite affordable for such an amazing place and view; 130birr. I was impressed, not gonna lie! So, I returned last night accompanied by someone to enjoy a bottle of wine (and a soft drink). The first red flag was when I asked for a menu to explore the drinks offer and the waitress said something like: " We have everything; beer, wine, whiskey etc". I didn't insist. How much could a wine bottle be!? When I finished, I asked at the bar how much the bill was. And she said 3000 birr. I was shocked, not gonna lie! I live in the UK and I can have the same for cheaper. Then comes the second issue; no card payments accepted. Ridiculous!!! Even tho it is Ethiopia, I managed so far to pay by card to most of the shops; from supermarkets and restaurants to pharmacies. But not here... So I had to withdraw cash from the ATM downstairs (luckily. What if there wasn't one, I wonder!?). Luckily, I was accompanied and I was able to ask the girl to wait until I had to go to the ATM... Not something I enjoyed.. Imagine for a second if I was to be alone. Probably I would've been escorted to the ATM as it happened to other customers (read the reviews!!!). Anyway, I come back, I ask for the receipt and... No receipt! Instead, a printed like-receipt where it was saying the amount; 3450 the final price. Outrageous!!! I was fuming. But I didn't say anything. I'm not usually the type who makes a scene.. But it wasn't over!! I give them the stack of money and because I'm not used to Ethiopian money I had more than they asked. They count the money once, then again and I kind of realised something isn't right. She takes the money and gives me back 250 birr. Minutes later, after I left, I realised she took the money for the bill plus 200 birr extra!!! I guess she thought she deserved to take a tip for herself! Oh, yeah! And no printed receipt of the transaction. Which makes me believe the prices are made up sometimes. Otherwise I can't understand how there can be so much difference between a beer at 130 birr and a regular wine bottle at well over 3000 birr. More expensive than the UK! After the first visit i even met the manager of the bar and that added up to the overall positive impression. Made me even recommend the bar as a gem to the manager of the hostel I'm staying at, a very popular one, to be further recommended to the other guests. Now, I'm gonna undue this! What a SHAME! I know it's a very long review but as a professional reviewer (as my level says) who visited many places, bars and restaurants around the world, I have the duty to bring up a comprehensive review about my experience which I don't think was a mistake or a singular one as someone else reviewed pretty much the same problems. In the end; DON'T GO THERE!!!
Great view at the top the building its on the 12th floor of the terrace. I really Enjoyed the Dusk and as the name is of the place indicates its good for a view of Sunset during Dusk. Great spot great service. They give you blanket i loved that.
Guys, I've found a slice of heaven! I'm a firm believer in positive vibes and good energy, and today I experienced something truly special. This rooftop spot has an incredible ambiance, and it was such a joy to watch everyone enjoying the space. If you're looking for a place where young, energetic Ethiopians hang out, this is the spot. Feven, one of the waitresses, is my absolute favorite. This place is a must-visit!
