I enjoyed my one night stopover. Well maintained for a 20 year old lodge with comfortable rooms with strong (and silent) A/C. Pool was drained as no guest but restaurant and bar open. Good food served by friendly staff. Plenty of wildlife around, the 2km to the campsite is a nice - albeit sandy - evening stroll. The cages at the entrance are now empty so caged wildlife should not be a reason not to visit anymore.

Nice place. The reception was not really professional, they didn’t guide us to the tend. Good food and nice service in the restaurant

By far the worst lodge of our trip. The ambience, the service, the cleanliness, the friendliness was better in every other lodge. So we left a day earlier than planned. Dinner and breakfast were ok.

Went here to camp for one night, the campground is big and there is a braai place for each campsite as well as a common cooking spot. There's a building in the back with two floors, the views of the night sky from the second floor is amazing!

Its a child friendly place, my daughter absolutely enjoyed herself. The place was not full, and the night was quiet a breeze with rainfall. We were place on the upper room which had a lot of space.

Lovely calming peaceful place. In the morning the birds and insects sing their heart out. Most magical sound ❤️❤️ Definitely a beautiful place

Very bad bed, old, creaking, uncomfortable, mosquitoes, not good lighting. The place feels abandoned. The pool is filthy. Staff is totally unwelcoming and unhelpful, they all look unhappy and bored by their job. The wifi was mostly non-existent, maybe 3 or 4 minutes of connectivity per hour... the wall of the restaurant are filthy. For 100usd per night, this was a horrible, vastly overpriced experience. Oh yes, and they also do not know how to manage internet bookings... nothing was prepared, they did not know where to look to find my booking, etc. Awful.

The waitress with the lion hair slammed the door many times while we waited for our food. I don't know what's her problem. Guess the boss doesn't really take care of the staffs well being. Slept one night in an old squeaky bed. They have good food though

Service in the restaurant is rather slow, bar stocks are also low

A beautiful experience in the wilderness...one gets awakened by a roar of the lions in the coolness of the night...by the way they are safely kept away from humans but you get to see them. If you want an experience away from traffic noise and hustle a bustle of town life, this I your destination

Such a beautiful location, we were told by an employee that we could drive around the property. We saw giraffe, warthogs, lions impala and springbok. Really worth while!

We visited the Campsite and turned back to the reception for upgrading to the cheapest accommodation they had. The next day we switched into another room for a doublebed. The rooms were okay for african conditions. A little pricey though. The restaurant is good as well. The Wifi is good but two people couldn't give me easily the password. So had some struggle logging in to one of the two networks which is available outside in the near of the bar. - Maybe you should give one password for both or at least write it readable down somewhere on a wall or so. - The staff got some problems to speak english I guess, but tries to be nice anyways. The poolarea looks old and needs a restauration in my opinion. There are only two old wooden sun lounger which are quite hard and the water doesn't look as you want to go in. Also make sure you bring some earplugs, because we were there friday and they had a party in the bar area which was pretty loud for the lodges behind it. All in all good for a stay but not outstanding.

Was not impressed in the least. The room I stayed in cost a fortune just to be eaten alive by mosquitoes. The restaurant took forever to prepare what I thought would be a quick pizza. Don't think I would ever stay there again. It's just not worth the price.

Its a good place; where you could just enjoy some bush with its wild. The safari structures are also great and also the opportunity of getting to see some lions.

Honestly speaking I was not happy about the place. They had only one towel in the bathroom. The shower rose was partly blocked or something so it couldn't release enough water for one to shower. The floors were really dusty. We had our dinner here and the chicken and steak was not well done though we specified on that. This place was just awful. I hope they do improve their facilities and services.

We were worried after reading the negative reviews. The place does indeed need lots of TLC. Staff is helpful and friendly and try accommodate you. There is a pub, food menu is pretty good some items are not available, but there is still enough to choose from. Must say pizza was the best thing on the menu, very good. We spoke to the guard on duty and vehicles were fine in the morning.

I never like to leave a bad review, especially when the staff is so nice. The grounds are lovely, with a well-kept, grassy pool area and loungers. The restaurant has a good menu and friendly staff. They do run out of menu items and ingredients, but the food is delicious. Take note of the hours, though, as the restaurant is not open all day. I stayed in a Maru tent #2 - quite comfortable, a fair distance from the lodge at the campsite, bordered by bush. The tent was comfortable: twin beds, a nice outdoor sitting area, but no Wi-Fi as there should have been. It is a long road out to the campsite in deep sand and I had a rough time in my sedan. This isn't mentioned on the website. Along one of the 2 roads to the campsite, the trees grow into the road and scratched the side of my car. I chose this Lodge because it has a self-drive game drive - "On the well maintained roads, it is a comfortable one and half hour drive". This sounded to me like a could drive it in my sedan, but the the guys at reception said I would need a 4x4. This was a huge disappointment. They said they would try to arrange a game drive for me, but that was the last I heard of it; it just never happened. I had no towels, I had to ask housekeeping when they woke me up the next morning. The handle of the toilet didn't work. To flush I had to remove the lid from the tank and move the parts manually. The shower took literally hours and hours to drain after a quick shower. Tent numbers are very difficult to read after dark, as when driving back after dinner (the restaurant opens for dinner at 7pm). After a few wrong turns I got stuck in the sand and some very nice security men pushed me out. All in all, I'm afraid my stay was very disappointing. I did see 2 young ostriches when I first drove up to my tent. Unfortunately it was downhill from there.

Disappointing. Clearly Covid has hit hard and they're down massively on custom, but they're not really helping themselves. Friends had an accident on their way to Tautona with their caravan and their car was disabled. Somehow the management could not assist towing the van to the campsite, despite their Cruiser being up and down the road all day. I suppose the P1,100 a day in the lodge was worth more than the cost of a campsite and helpful customer service. Left a sour taste and we won't be back.

Rooms old and dilapidated. Beds too small. Not esthetically pleasing. Price does not match facility at all. Good note: Customer service at the restaurant was pleasant! No complaints on the food served. Keep it up!

Nice stay but the parking is not safe! Poor people from the Ghanzi village, come during the night and break into the parked cars! Be Careful!

Due to repeated change of management quality of this lodge has gone down a lot. Their reception is hardly ever responding to mails, pre-paid accommodation is no longer available. Such a shame, this used to be a nice stopover between Maun and Windhoek. I visited this lodge for over 15 years and have seen it deteriorate over the last 5 years. Better find an other place to stay around Ghanzi.
