Last week we had about 15 friends including family members for my son's tenth birthday. We ordered Bengali food from Babo Home Kitchen though most of the guests were non - bengalis. The starters, chingri bhaaja (fried prawns) and Kolkata Bhetki (bonbeless) Fish Fry were big hits, especially fried prawns. The main course had Mochar (banana flower) Ghanto with Chingri, Kosha Mangsho and Shorshe Ilish (Hilsa). The guests could not stop raving about the food because it was home made food with a difference. In Spite of the bones in the Hilsa, it was polished off. There was pin drop silence as the guests savored the Hilsa and the Kosha Mangsho.. It was a treat to see the expression on their faces, they were speechless about their love for the Shorshe Hilsa and Kosha Mansho. The children thoroughly enjoyed the Kosha Mangsho (Bhuna Gosht) because it was tender, non spicy and still awesome. Thanks to the generous helping by Chef Babo..All the guests collected BHK's number and asked us to organise another get-together with food from Babos Home Kitchen.

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a plate of good mutton chops, and I must say it was a truly divine culinary experience. As a connoisseur of meat dishes, I have tasted my fair share of chops, but these mutton chops exceeded all expectations. What sets good mutton chops apart from the rest is the quality of the meat itself. The chefs clearly sourced the finest cuts, ensuring the meat was succulent and full of character. The chops were cooked to perfection, retaining their natural juices and achieving a perfect balance of tenderness and slight chewiness. The portion size was generous, ensuring that I left the table feeling truly satisfied. The mutton chops were undoubtedly the star of the show, and the quantity was more than enough to leave a lasting impression.

BHK catered for my wedding functions recently. They exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Food was delicious, demonstrating culinary expertise. In the two different events catered by BHK, they came up with quintessential Bengali menu balancing the dietary requirements and guests’ expectations (50 relatives from different parts of the country on both my and missus sides for each event) creating a food experience left a lasting impression on everyone. It’s been a month and some of my cousins are still talking about the mutton and fish on our Whatsapp groups; making me long for a kosha mangsho lunch when I will be back in Delhi.

I ordered two combo portions of luchi mangsho and fish chop; and a plate of chicken biryani. The taste, portion sizes, packaging, and promptness were all excellent. The mutton kosha was heavenly indeed, soft and succulent, and the luchis (6 pieces) soaked the lip smacking gravy and along with the fish chops on the side, made for a delectable concert for me and the wife! We were so full, we save up the chicken biryani for another meal. Sharing a plate of flavourful Kolkata-style chicken biryani was another experience to savour… an egg and aluddam included besides the generous chicken pieces (4 to a plate). Would heartily recommend Babo’s Kitchen to connoisseurs of Bengali food.

We ordered holud pulao and mutton kosha for a housewarming dinner for around 10 people and it was very good and just what we needed. Perfect and home like and tasty all at once. The mutton pieces were very well cooked and leaving the bones and cooked just right. Also, the mutton Biriyani which we had during pujo was the best one we have had in Delhi of the the Kolkata style Biriyani.

I found Babo's kitchen off Google. The food has been incredible. I ordered for a party of 20- kosha mangsho, chanar dalna, chutney, hing aaloo and veg pulao. The food was delicious, the mutton incredibly soft(we could cut it with wooden spoons) and the tomato chutney was a great finish to the meal. Babo was very helpful in getting me to decide on the menu and the food was delivered nicely on time. The portions were generous and everyone had just praises for the food.

Ordered from Baboo da's kitchen after getting some positive reviews from my friends & family. Must say I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely fantastic. Doi mach, prawn kosha and dhokar dalna were the highlight dishes. Loved it! Thank you.
