Subhash Emporium has a very large range of products, all made of genuine stones and of high quality. One of the oldest emporium in the town, it also holds a very unique collection of the finest quality of pacchikari ever produced in Agra throughout the centuries. Those masterpieces are a mind-blowing testimony of these artisans' stunning skills. Showing great hospitality, the salesmen will take the time to explain you everything about the process of making (with live demonstrations) and about the history of this fine craft, without pressurising the customers about purchasing. Special thanks to Kailash ji for his patience and availability 🙏

Awesome collection. Nothing less than a museum. Intricate fine work, may be a little over priced, but definitely genuine hand crafted masterpieces. Worth visiting.

The highlight of our shopping experience in Agra. Kailash ji was an excellent host and sales executive to deal with. He welcomed us in the shop and did an informative demo of the artwork. We were absolutely floored by the beautiful artwork displayed in the gallery. The staff are really friendly and take the time to show you different objects based on your taste and budget. We found two beautiful table tops. Although the prices can seem expensive at first, it was evident from visiting some other shops that the artistry and authenticity of the pieces at Subhash emporium were unmatched. When in India, it is normal to negotiate a little. The staff were very cordial at all times and we ultimately arrived at a price that worked for us. Kailash ji was kind enough to deliver them to our hotel as well so we could continue sightseeing for the day. Thank you! I would highly recommend Subhash emporium for marble inlay work, when visiting Agra. Even if you don’t wish to buy anything, to set eyes on the beautiful pieces is a treat in itself. Really honest and authentic people.

Subhash Emporium is the finest art gallery to appreciate or buy authentic marble inlay objects in Agra. It is recommended by Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Traveller, Frommers, National Geographic, Fodor's and many other travel guides. Their Museum of Master Pieces exhibits the best works of marble inlay ever made in the 400 year history of this art.

Incredible handmade marble work! Family owned business, very kind and educational experience to see how the marble inlay is done. We had tasty masala chai while seeing the museum pieces! A must see stop, especially if you appreciate stone work.

(Translated by Google) Visited by a tour guide. An inlay workshop that puts very good things. Good is expensive! It's not a cheap price to buy, but at the same price as the souvenir shop, the price is much better. Credit available. There are some items that are affordable, such as B genuine items, prototypes (?), And items made with cheap stones. There isn't much of a push selling feeling.

It's an excellent experience to learn about making these products. They have a collection which will simply blow your mind. They never pushed us for buying anything. We ultimately bought a table top that looks excellent in our home.

Total rip off and classic tourist trap!!! Overpriced!!! We were enamoured with the beautiful Taj Mahal marble work and with a guide recommended by a friend so we were too trusting. We fell for it which is our fault but were charged prices 5x what we later saw at the airport (which is usually expensive!). Raj Kothari was a very nice man but cunning salesman. A guide calling himself Khan took us around the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort and then took us here. Beware!

Subhash Emporium is definitely THE place to learn about, buy, and see absolutely stunning too-quality marble pieces! Drivers will try very hard to take you to other shops where they earn a commission, but don’t waste your time unless you’re looking for cheap souvenirs—even then, don’t bother. You can buy cheap imitations at home for less. But if you want to see and own an example of this Agra craft, the same kind you’ll see at the Taj Mahal, come here. I am a gemologist and jeweler, so I know what I’m talking about. You’ll see the work being done, so you understand why it is so precious. They’re not pushy—Kailash Dubey was a joy to work with! I can’t recommend highly enough!

Nice place to visit but still very expensive... They will explain you how the "pietra dura" technique is done. Originally is from Italy so you won't miss that much if you slip this place.

We visited the place today and were blown away: - they show you how the marble art is done - they then guide you through the gallery and show you variety of art pieces (ask them for their master pieces, they are incredible) - We also purchased a few amazing art pieces It was a very nice atmosphere and we had a lovely chat with the owner. We liked that we were not rushed into buying anything, thus we felt very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The best place in Agra for inlaid stone work. 3 generations supporting the tradition of this craft. The workmanship is outstanding and the owners and staff are fantastic. Will educate and help you find only what you are looking for. Absolutely recommend!!!

  • 1/5 Sreyanko S. 9 months ago on Google
Please do not visit this place. They will scam you with some fancy information about their craft and display a few puppet artisans at the entrance to create a fake ambience and make you believe that they are the pioneer and have exclusive mastery over their craft. Only once you travel to other places in Agra you will realize that the products they are selling are widely available at much cheaper rates. They do not have any monopoly over the craft. The products are mass manufactured and distributed all over Agra. Reply: I have absolutely not visited any other place. it has been some time I visited your shop. I will upload photos to prove that. Anyway don't cheat people. Its not a good business model in the long run. At least not in the age of internet. Thanks.

Very polite staff and they don't try to push sales down your throat. Marbles work is quite intricate but priced on the higher side. I bought a small box which is very lovely to look at... The private art gallery is marvelous to look at. I would have liked to spend more time gazing at the peices but didn't have enough time...
