Kokoro is 😘 Their food is fantastic, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere has always been indescribable every time I visit the place. The service- perfect 10/10—attentive and friendly throughout the evening. A special shoutout to the wonderful chef and owner, Seife!

Such a lovely experience at Kokoro. The Ethiopian owner worked in Japan for years and was also a sommelier, so there were lovely wine options not normally seen in Addis in addition to tasty food and a nice ambience. The food was delicious, the presentation was very nice, and the service was incredible.

Very nice restaurant - a hidden gem of Addis Ababa! The chef is very sociable and comes always to talk and explain his dishes. We tried the ramen and he told us is a very big portion so he split in 2 little ones in order we could share it ☺️ everything is very tasty !

I came here to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance is cozy, one feels like they could stay here all day. It’s a nice place for a casual date, eating as a group, and a quick pick up. I don’t have much experience with Japanese food. With my limited experience, I’d say the food was good. One thing I did notice is how plentiful it is. The portions are well suited for mostly anyone. We finished each meal feeling filled. The chef is friendly and quite hospitable. We really enjoyed having his presence. It's nice that: - The food, in terms of taste and portion, is good - The place is quite clean, kid and family friendly - The owner and chef is friendly Could be better: - Not much really.

Place to visit without regret. Chef is really kinf and he knows his meats. Its bad rating is only up to 5, because this deserves 10/10

First visit to this establishment just happened to be during the fasting season. Unfortunately, their vegan options are very limited - ordered the Fellafel as an appetizer, and the Ramen (Tofu) as the main. Both were as standard as they come, not something I would recommend or come back for. However the service was good. Hopefully will get an opportunity to try their non vegetarian dishes soon.

It is a beautiful place with an amazing sushi. It's always difficult to get a good quality sushi in Addis, and I must say this is one of the few places where you can find a very well prepared, authentic, and tasty sushi. They also have other options like steak and pasta, but we only tried the ramen and sushi. Friendly staff, great service, and the chef is really nice, passionate about his food, which is amazing. Beautifully decorated, sitting with the option to sit outside and a classy restaurant inside. Enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. Great options of drinks, wine, and beer, as well as hot drinks, a tasty ginger tea. 😊😊

We searched for a Japanese restaurant nearby, and this place came up on Google. Hoping for an authentic experience, we decided to give it a try. We ordered ‘Yodofu’ (tofu) and ‘Chicken Ramen’ (noodles). While the presentation was decent, the portions were disappointingly small. The total cost came to 1,710 Birr (around 13 Euros), which felt overpriced, especially considering the portion size and quality. Based on our experience dining in Addis Ababa, this restaurant falls on the expensive side. To make matters worse, the food lacked authenticity, failing to capture the true flavours of Japanese cuisine. For the price, we had higher expectations, and unfortunately, this restaurant didn’t deliver. If you’re looking for genuine Japanese food or good value for money, this might not be the best option.
