We've
been
to
Ocean
Village
about
5
times
over
the
last
10
or
so
years.
Lucy
has
been
our
contact
and
has
always
been
so
helpful,
organised
and
welcoming,
she
really
makes
a
difference,
booking
is
stress-free
and
if
anything
comes
up
with
the
apartments
she's
easy
to
contact
and
quick
to
act.
Gibraltar
is
a
really
interesting
place
-
as
the
kids
have
got
older
it
has
become
more
enjoyable
as
there
are
so
many
places
to
see
and
things
to
do,
the
caves,
the
monkeys,
the
beaches,
the
Alameda
zoological
gardens
(very
beautiful
but
be
careful
on
the
uneven
steps
here!),
shopping,
tons
of
restaurants,
siege
tunnels,
Moorish
castle
etc
that
it
has
been
way
more
enjoyable
to
do
with
them
now
that
they
aren't
just
wanting
to
be
in
a
pool
all
day!
My
Mum
is
from
Gibraltar
so
it
means
a
lot
to
us
to
visit
and
experience
the
place.
The
views
from
the
Ocean
Village
apartment
over
the
marina
are
really
good
-
the
higher
the
flat,
obviously
the
more
spectacular
the
view.
We
enjoy
the
modern
marina
with
all
the
restaurants
(Pizza
Express
&
Wagamuma's
were
favourites,
but
I
wouldn't
recommend
Las
Iguanas,
Ramsons
was
highly
recommended
but
we
ran
out
of
time)
and
views
over
the
sea.
It's
a
mix
of
a
city
break
with
lots
of
sightseeing
opportunities
and
a
beach/pool
break.
The
pools
at
Ocean
Village
are
nice
and
well
maintained,
a
little
bit
cold
but
that
doesn't
seem
to
bother
the
kids!
(jacuzzis
are
warm).
We
went
for
the
first
time
recently
in
about
6
years
and
noted
that
the
place
looks
like
it
has
had
an
upgrade,
the
casemates
square
and
the
area
around
Ocean
Village,
look
painted,
well-kept,
neat
and
tidy.
It's
all
relatively
expensive
-
eating
out
and
the
shops
aren't
particularly
cheap.
It's
worth
having
GBP
cash
as
some
taxis/shops
only
took
that.
We
enjoyed
the
rock
and
got
an
online
ticket
for
about
50
euros
a
head
however
we
regretted
not
doing
a
taxi
tour
as
walking/climbing
steps
(even
with
the
cable
car
ride)
in
the
heat
was
exhausting,
with
some
of
us
feeling
the
effects
of
mild
dehydration/heat
stroke
(this
was
mid-June).
The
caves
are
brilliant.
All
in
all,
it's
worth
a
visit.
Ocean
Village
is
clean
and
tidy
and
the
apartments
are
modern
and
well-stocked.
Things
can
go
wrong,
as
can
happen
anywhere,
such
as
toilet
and
air
con
issues
but
Lucy
always
sorts
things
quick
and
efficiently.
Worth
a
trip
for
a
holiday
that's
different
from
the
norm,
with
stunning
views,
lots
to
do
and
friendly
people.
