When there is a line you know it's good. After a fun and busy weekend in Tucson we were on the hunt for some delicious coffee and food, and found this gem. We first saw the long line and debated if it was worth it, and it was!!! The line moved fast and they had live mariachi playing to keep us entertained. Once at the door the items they had were sweet and to the point. All good choices and the hardest part was to narrow it down. After a healthy debate we made our choices (sample it all). We highly recommend this place and we can't wait to go back.

Now if your looking for the best coffee and horchata hot or cold. This is the place! They also have some good Barrio Berryade for you non coffee drinkers. We ordered a burrito and a breakfast bowl. Yummy with the salsa, and the burrito came with 2. I am sold! ( ; don’t be fooled by the line it’s totally worth it. The relaxed ambiance here is just wonderful! I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed

Barely heard about this place yesterday so I tried it today. Was good. A few of the potatoes in my burrito weren't cooked through all the way, but other than that it was delicious. Ran into an old friend during the visit so that was fun.

Traveling and was passing by, I wish there was one in my hometown! I had a chorizo egg and cheese burrito and it comes with two. I also ordered a barrio cold brew with lechera and hands down best coffee ever!

Saw this place on instagram and decided to check it out. I got the horchesso latte and it was absolutely delicious. Probably the best latte I’ve had in Tucson. The line is long and it doesn’t really move that fast. I think we were in line for 30+ minutes. But the drink and food comes out quick. They give a beeper for the order. I wanted to try a burrito but maybe next time. There’s a reason why there’s a line. Small parking lot, will need to find street parking! Can’t wait to come back when I’m in town next.

Really good breakfast burritos and they have a vegan option. You also get 2 burritos in your order. The salsa is really spicy but good.

Overall, I thought the food and everything was really good. It was super busy. So it took like 10 minutes to get to the counter to get food to order. Once I ordered the food it took about another 40-45 minutes to get it. I think that was my only complaint was just the length of wait there was. I know the employees were working as hard as they could. It was just a little bit uncomfortable since it was really hot. I wish they had like a fan or more seating for those who are waiting there was just a lot of people just standing there, waiting for their food and drinks. But the bowls were really good. They did definitely did make up for everything. I ordered ham, cheese, egg, potato bowl, minus the like tamale and everything else in it. I would recommend this restaurant, but just realized there might be a long wait time.

So good I forgot to take photos. Excellent tamales, excellent burritos. Excellent tamales inside of burritos. The wait time can be around 15-20 minutes after 10am or so so be prepared to hang around for a bit. The food is well worth the wait though. Service is great, staff are awesome at answering questions. Expect to spend around $7 per person for a well rounded food item. Nothing to complain about really. Parking is limited so you may have to walk a while. Limited seating but it balances out with the wait time.

Cute little walk-up coffee shop and restaurant. The breakfast burritos are superb, I’d highly recommend trying them out. The coffee is also delicious- I had an iced mocha. Additionally, the service is swift, and the employees seem excited and happy about the work that they do! Thanks for a great start to my day.

Great burritos. The tortillas were awesome. And they divide the burrito into two. So you get two burritos. I got the chorizo, egg, and potato. The salsa was the perfect topping. It was spicy, which I loved. Only downside was we waited an hour from standing in line to getting our food. So get there early to beat the crowd.

First, everyone I interacted with had good energy and were very kind /welcoming. The coffee was bomb the burritos were bomb everything was bomb. Even the price point was bomb. If you are passing through from TX like myself, you’ve been lied and cheated out of good Mexican food (and quality food in general). The hot sauce is spicy and the green chilies taste fresh. Very satisfying! I will 100% be back on my next pass through!

Delicious food, friendly service. Great prices for the amount of food and quality that you get. The horchata coffee, burritos, and cajeta strudel were all AMAZING.

Wow! This place is phenomenal all around! The breakfast burritos are grilled, with a nice crunch to the tortilla, and seasoned perfectly! Their staff is friendly and playfully took my order all while explaining their menu and making sure it was exactly what we wanted. They also offered different milk options for the coffee and different sugar levels which is a lovely added layer of attention to the details that most don’t offer. Cute outdoor seating and artistic vibes. I can’t wait to come back!

The horchesso latte is delicious, and so are the burritos! I added roasted hatch green chili and sour cream to mine. Their salsa has some heat to it, really nice! I also got a Nutella concha, the flavor was great but it was pretty dry. It was my first time trying a concha though, I think they are supposed to be on the drier side to dip in coffee etc. There’s also a nice little outdoor patio to sit and eat at, highly recommend!

Visiting Tucson for a friends wedding. Finished up a hike near by and came here for some breakfast. Such a great idea. Parking we tight, but managed to get inside parking there is street parking available. Menu is straight forward. I opted for the burrito with Bacon and sausage in it extra cost of $1.10 for extra meat, but well worth it. I went ahead and got the Horchesso the wife got the Hocho Brew both really great coffees. The burritos were amazing by far the highlight of our trip. They perfectly grilled and the meats along with the egg, cheese and beans we a great touch. Be advised we though one order of a burrito you get one whole burrito, but nope you get 2 small ones (awesome!). Highly recommend coming here you will not be disappointed!

Best. Breakfast. Burritos. There’s typically a long line but you won’t regret sticking it out. The drinks are delicious but the burritos are the star of the show. The salsa is spicy & incredibly tasty. If you don’t want it on your burrito, at least get some on the side. There’s really only street parking and outdoor seating. Must go!!

Barista del Barrio is always a 5 star experience. You wait in line to place your order and then sit in their multiple options for outdoor seating. It’s quaint with relaxing and breezy setting. The food is absolutely delicious, they have breakfast burritos, bowls, and tamales. They have special lattes, we ordered an Horchesso, a dulce de leche, and a mazapán latte. They are sweet, but you can ask for it to be less sweet and have alternative milk options. I love this place, I visit every time that I’m in town.

Hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the horchesso latte. The espresso is smooth, bold and balanced to perfection with a sweet cinnamon taste. The chorizo breakfast burro was well seasoned and delicious. Arrive 15 minutes before opening to get in line and you won’t have to wait long. Staff is super friendly and service was super fast. They also have a nice shaded patio to relax and enjoy your drink. We will be back to support this wonderful local coffee shop!

Im relatively new to Tucson and have been looking for a good coffee spot. This coffee shop is fantastic. The cold brew was on point, and the breakfast burritos were amazing. The service was fast and friendly even though they were pretty busy. I'll definitely be back

I've heard this place as always being delicious but with hard parking and a line to wait in. Basically exactly that, just park on the street if no spaces available, waited in a line of seven people but didn't take long at all, and ordered the base burrito with chorizo and sour cream and an iced tea which took maybe five minutes. Worth every step taken, the burrito was magnificent, well basically two medium sized burritos, delicious tortillas, all grilled up with everything inside cooked properly. Iced tea was great but coffee shops usually do have that down. Will be adding this stop to my daily breakfast stops now. Highly recommend drinks and food here, also fun sites to see in the old barrio.

I'm my own coffee guy, every morning starts with either a French press or a cappuccino of my own doing. Gotta be great for me to pay someone else for a superior product... Barista del Barrio makes a Mexican chocolate latte I can't match. As if that weren't enough, their burritos are tasty, tasty, tasty. This morning it was high 30's and raining. 15 minutes after opening there were a dozen folks ahead of me in line. No complaints, just mouths watering, waiting for the goodies. Been there twice in 4 days, will be back again in the next few.

This place is a real hidden gem. The only criticism is that parking can be hard due to it being located within a neighborhood. Also it really isn't comfortable to eat there on account of it being only outdoor seating... not great for summertime. Perfect for to-go though.

Delicious! I got the chorizo burrito, which many have noted cones as 2 smaller burritos. (Perfect for sharing with a friend when you order different fillings)!) The official parking lot is tiny, maybe 3 spots. I parked in the neighborhood nearby, but be nice and aware so you don't block the driveways. The space is dog friendly! Only outdoor seating with an ordering window and a pickup window (after your beeper vibrates and sounds). They also got my dog a little pup cup of whipped cream. Overall atmosphere isn't the best for hot days like today, but definitely great to grab and go.

Stopped here for a late breakfast and it was well worth the trip. The service is wonderful - they are so friendly and helpful. The food is very nice but be sure to get the salsa which is simply amazing - great smoky spicy flavor. There is some seating outside under covered area - so dress accordingly. Otherwise most folks do take out. This is a must stop when visiting Tucson. Arrive early if you want their tamales - they sell out.

I got a 12oz Hot Americano and a Burrito w/ chorizo, red tamale, and green Chili’s. I’ve tried many different burrito places for breakfast and Barista is definitely the best one I’ve had overall. The size, taste, and, texture is all top tier. The only thing I would want added is pico de gallo which I don’t believe they offered. The only downside is seating can be an issue, parking is definitely an issue, and it’s a minor inconvenience for the wait time. However if you have not tried it I would highly recommend it after a hike or just if you’re in the e neighborhood.

I would pass by this place on my way to viva burrito after I got my Starbucks. After reading a lot of good reviews I decided to give barrio a shot and WOW! This is my new favorite spot. Burritos and GREAT coffee in once place! I ordered a lechera coffee and I’m happy I ordered the large this drink is REALLY GOOD! I also ordered chorizo burritos and WOW! They do not taste like viva or any other fast food spot barrios burritos taste homemade like my nana made it!! The salsa is 10/10 my first time here is a 10/10 and I will definitely be back! Thank you barrio! I also want to add that I have been searching for a spot who offers amazing iced coffee like beans and brew in Salt Lake City and PHX grind coffee and I have found the spot here in Tucson! This is literally what I’ve been looking for!

Burritos and frappes with and old friend. Fantastic flavor, and price. The atmosphere is nice though they could use an outdoor fan or two.

Amazing breakfast burritos and lattes. Love being able to customize the burritos. Both the Dulce de Leche and the Horchesso (horchata) lattes were delicious!

Staff was very friendly, helpful and patient with my questions, and accommodated my requests. Ordered a mocha with Mexican chocolate, and a burrito with eggs, chorizo, potatoe and eggs. EVERYTHING was delicious. The flour (wheat) tortillas were superfresh and felt home-made. Mocha was smooth and just right for me. There was a line, but it moved quickly. No place to sit down, and I just could not wait... Everyhing smelled so good, so ended up eating my burrito in my car. Being cold outside and early in the morning, my breakfast was just glorious. This is a local business that's been operating for about 5 years, they're open only in the mornings (Wed-Sun), and you always see costumers ordering. I'm so glad I finally made it! Will definitely come back!

Chorizo breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious, and I loved the chiltepin salsa and the tortillas. The coffee was excellent. I got a hot latte with milk. The staff were friendly. On the weekend, I experienced a 45 minute wait in line just to order, and then a 10 minute wait for my food. This place is good but I wouldn't wait that long again. Definitely need to wake up early if you're wanting to eat here on a weekend. Parking lot is small, so everyone else is just parking on the street in a small neighborhood and I feel kinda bad for the people who live there and have to deal with everyone in and out for the food orders.
