Great experience! The steamboat was clean and comfortable. There are options for food and snacks. The captain was very fun to listen to - we learned a lot about wildlife and plants. And we saw big horned sheep, rams, hawks and a huge bald eagle nest along with really amazing fossils in the sides of the rock formations. Highly recommend!!!

Worth the $25 per person fee. We went on the day scenic cruise. We saw bald eagles and bighorn sheep. It was very nice to have a tour guide describing the nature and wildlife and history of the lake. It was a lovely experience. It was a long ish drive from Phoenix but still nice.

We are so glad we could take this excursion. We ordered tickets day before but there were walk ups. It is very organized as to boarding. There is an enclosed upper and lower deck. There where people on electric scooter doing just fine. When you sit looking to captain. R is closes to shoreline and many sites. L you see more open water but have a great view also. The captain narrates and shows you where rams are. So many sites to see. The crew work hard as they make sure passengers know where to look. We had a quick shower move thru and the crew made sure those on deck got umbrellas. Make sure to tip as they deserve it. Around 6 miles before getting to Marina, the switchbacks are really something. Drive carefully and enjoy the view.

Another adventure with my boys. We got very lucky, since we are new to the area we showed up kind of late and didn't have any reservations(MAKE RESERVATIONS πŸ˜…). we were able to do the dinner cruise at 5pm to 7:30pm. It was well worth it. The Captain and the crew were amazing.

Truly wonderful excursion! The boat captain was so nice and the boat itself felt super safe and was very comfortable. We ended up in the middle of a monsoon storm which was exciting but a little scary but I had no concerns that we were in good hands. The sights are absolutely gorgeous - I can’t recommend this experience enough!

What a fun day! Nice laid back crew took care of everything. The boat is mostly enclosed & well air conditioned in case you're worried about visiting in summer, great big windows surround both floors & allow you to see it all in comfort. We went on a Saturday when Canyon Lake was packed with boats, jet skis, kayaks, etc, and it was fun to see & wave at all the boaters. Took my visiting MIL and we all had a blast. Even the onboard souvenirs & snacks are reasonably priced (including booze if you're so inclined). Would go again in a heartbeat!

This is a must do! So much fun! We couldn't get a seat outside the pre-boarders were all over it. The temperature was great, a window seat was perfect. Captain Ron is top notch and kept it interesting . He even signed my captains hat 🀩 Buy your tickets in advance. There is snacks on board to purchase, cash only. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was pleasurable and if you haven't gone you should. There is wildlife, get your camera ready.

For all the trouble I went through, which I'm not going to go into here I was so happy to finally get on that boat. The cruise itself was beautiful. Got to learn a lot of interesting facts. Got to enjoy the beauty of the lake. Got to see bald eagles and Rams both. Turkey vultures and many other kinds of birds were also there. Once I got on the boat and until the time I got off the boat I had a really great time. Not going to talk about the rest. But the captain rocks!

I went into this trip thinking it wasn't going to be a big deal but I was really pleasantly surprised on how much fun this steam boat ride was!! It wasn't crazy busy and the staff was personable and a lot of fun. The captain had a very nice speaking voice and he had great stories. We did the 90 minute cruise but I'd love to try the dinner cruise sometime so I'll be heading back and will let you know how it goes! Its the little things in life and this trip brings you back to the small, joyful things to remind you! Also lots of great scenery, very picturesque if you're visiting AZ or even if you're local!!

I’ve been twice! And loved both times. I especially appreciated the first time I went when there was a nasa scientist on board with a high tech laser pointer giving a seminar on the night sky 🌌 These boat rides are so relaxing and make me feel like I’m in a romantic 50’s movie.

The wife and I had an amazing afternoon for our anniversary. What a beautiful boat ride. Great views, friendly staff. We had one of the best seats in the house. Things to know before you go: - You should definitely reserve tickets before you go. - Seating was first come, first serve. So, get there early. - Top deck, very back, table 12. I think it was the best seat in the house. Thank you to the staff. You are all awesome.

Great experience. The crew and captain were fantastic and had great personalities. The views were amazing. Love that they provide everyone with life jackets if they choose to wear them and they make sure the kids put them on as they board. Have snacks, drinks and souvenirs for sale for all ages.

We went on the Twilight Cruise and took some guests from out of town. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and made us all feel welcome. The food was very good. It's surprisingly good. In addition to the food, the views and atmosphere were outstanding. I felt the trip was a great value for what it cost. I will definitely plan to visit again.

Great afternoon on the lake with visiting family. Didn't realize how large it was until we cruised around. Nice seating and great guide. Recommend reservations, glad we did. They were sold out on a Wednesday for both noon and 2pm cruise..

First time doing The Dolly Steamboat and we had so much fun! I absolutely loved watching the sun go down as I was able to capture spectacular photos. We want to try the afternoon none next. We will be back!

Beautiful and relaxing ride on the lake. Reservations are a must. And get there 45 minutes to an hour earlier so you can get in line, this will enable you to get a good table for the ride. Make sure to stop at the lookout on your way here. And to take the short drive to Tortilla Flat afterwards.

Had a great time on this tour! The crew were friendly and attentive to everyone onboard. Fantastic views - way more than I was expecting. Highly recommend- remember to tip your crew, they work hard!

Simply amazing!! Majestic views, the crew is so nice, kind and personable. It was such an enjoyable experience! We are going to book the dinner time cruise next! πŸ™‚πŸ’žπŸŽ‰ This was a spontaneous adventure, but highly recommend to buy/reserve online, as they fill up quickly! And please be considerate and be ON TIME! BETTER YET BE A LITTLE EARLY or you WILL miss the boat! They have a schedule to keep, specially from the 2pm cruise the crew has to prepare for the dinner service cruise!

Looking for a relaxing time with a loved one or family? The steam boat tour was just that. 2+ hours of beautiful landscape, interesting facts, and plenty of photo opportunities made this worth it. We did the Twilight tour which included free non-alcoholic drinks, dinner, and dessert. The food was pretty good and the service on board was amazing. If you go at night, make sure to dress accordingly as it does get cold!!

What a great ride! It was absolutely beautiful out and the cruise was full. We were lucky to see a Bald Eagle on the side of the Rocks up high and also a Sheep way up high . The tour was narrated and he did a great job keeping us interested in seeing all the different rock scenarios. If you are trying to decide whether to go or not….. GO! It is well worth it. The road leading to it is very windy and curvy so if you get car sick you may need a Dramamine.

Booked the late morning tour last minute with a friend. Lovely experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Captain was engaging with adults and children alike. The interior of the ship is air-conditioned. Not everyone is able to sit outside on the deck but we did manage to get a spot. Lovely views of the canyon on a nice quiet boat. Would do again.

Beautiful scenery. Polite staff. Knowledgeable captain. Smooth ride. Air conditioned cabin and two levels. Snack bar with alcohol. Two bathrooms. We want to try the longer dinner cruise next time!
