It’s Still Open! We ordered the fried chicken strips, beefy noodles and rice paper rolls. The food took awhile but we were well warned by the staff and that’s all I ever ask. The food itself was very good. The chicken strips that my boys ordered were scrumptious. They no longer have the microbrews but the Bintang is cold and life is good. It’s worth a visit.

We wandered here to try some smoothie bowls for breakfast. The vibe is pretty young and chill and it feels like a place where you can easily meet people. The bowls were fine. They have good wifi and the option to plug your electronics in in the lounge.

Every Friday they have "Raise The Steaks" night and their rib eye steaks are awesome. Great portion for a great price, I think cheapest on the island. The restaurant is part of a big social hostel so there's a pretty cool atmosphere about.

Awesome place and great food, actually my favourite on the whole island. There is a pool to use so a perfect place to chill for the day when you want a break from the beach, and easy to meet people by the bar. Menu is mixed with Western and Asian options, my favourites are the Szechuan Chicken and Full English Breakfast. They also do free delivery to anywhere on Gili Air.

We didn't stay at the hostel but they allowed us to chill by their pool for the majority of the day. They had heineken on draft which was a tad expensive compared to other places, but the lovely service and fun pool made up for it.

We have been there for lunch today as a family with two kids (7 and 4 yo). The owner is very kind and the kids where so happy in the pool. Drinks and food are fantastic. Milk-shakes...OMG! Very nice and chilled atmosphere. Fantastic to relax. Thanks a lot

Stopped for a drink by the mushroom-shaped pool 🍄It isn’t really a beer garden (as I was my expectation coming from the U.K.) but they had good service, Heineken on draft (very welcome after so many bottled Bintangs lately!) and had a tasty snack of chicken poppers. Worth a stop if you’re in the area

Came here for breakfast as we saw they did a vegan fry up! Had to be tried, it was delicious and was great having baked beans and hashbrowns again. The menu is a little pricey, but it was a treat.

We have eaten there several times in the last few days with our 3 children. We tried various dishes on the menu and of course the burgers. The food was above average and the burgers were absolutely delicious... one of the best burgers I've ever had .... The staff are super friendly and attentive. If you like burgers you should definitely stop by when you're on gili Air!

I had an amazing stay in this hostel. I first had to stay 3 days at the end I stayed the all week. It’s quiet and chill and in the same time you can meet some cool people in here. The pool is great and you’re a few meters walking to the beach. The food is great too.

Awesome place. Great food, mushroom pool with a jacuzzi surrounded by palm trees. Very chilled out vibes. Lee who is a volunteer here welcomes everybody with a smile and always has something cool planned for everyone. If you travel solo its super easy to meet people as well. Big thanks to the owners James and Paula for creating this little paradise :)

They do fantastic burgers and many delicious healthy food options (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Great atmosphere; good place to meet people, play a game of darts or chill in the pool. Definitely recommend going here!

I had a wonderful stay at Begadeng and was eating & drinking nearly every day at the Begadeng Beergarden. The food is amazing, from Breakfast to Dinner you will have a huge Menu to choose from.Lovely service and great atmosphere.

Begadang was a lovely place to stay and we really recommend it. The pool is lovely, the staff are friendly and the food is great. The beds in shared dorms are curtained which is good, one day we had a large spider in our bunk (hard to avoid in a remote island) and the staff were amazing at helping to get rid of it promptly. Cats at the property all vaccinated. A group chat is available where Bryn posts social activities for guests to get involved in. I would definitely come again should I ever find myself on Gili Air in the future.

Went their for drinks and dinner last night. Very cool place. Lots of foreigners hanging out. Had many games to play. Very much still open and hapenping!

Very good British pub style food. The chefs here know what they are doing. Some fun games to play as well. Next time I come I want to see you with some Indonesian craft beers please. It would be great to see the kura kura ale or small hazy draught.

The best food we had in Gili Air.

Food was perfect! We had the king prawn spaghetti which was so good! The Greek meatballs was fantastic and chicken parmigiana was totally worth the price!

Worst smothie bowl I had in 2 month in Indonesia. They changed me 1 time and still was without mango and full of ice. Don't waste your money here...

Super tasty hamburger but if you're in a hurry move away, you might be waiting even more than one hour... Lovely place by the way

Amazing place to stop by on your trip! You can have a swim while you are waiting for your lunch. Recommend the chickenschnitzel sandwich.

Food was very good ....wait for food is very strange everything seems to come out staggered in 10 minute intervals...30 minutes between the fries and the main course...ordered garlic bread as well but was told that would be another 20 minutes....that's no good to anyone. As I said food was nice they just need to sort out the timings in the kitchen.

I have eaten a lot of things on the menu and everything looks and tasted amazing. I can strongly recommend to try the Cesar salad.

Lovely atmosphere, great pool and the best food. It was actually very hard to leave to visit the rest of the island because we stayed here too and were sad to leave. Great selection of western favourites like burgers, pasta dishes and grilled or fried chicken. My favourites were the Asian dishes, nasi goreng and a black pepper chicken dish with rice. Had more than one day where all three meals were here, and enjoyed them all. There's a varied and tasty breakfast menu that's actually available all day. I felt the portions leant toward the generous side and prices were right where they should be. Good drinks selection too, with amazing milkshakes and fruit juices, beer and some liquors. Loved the island, loved Begadang and loved the food, can't say enough good things about this place.

Some of the best food we found on gili air. Everything was super fresh and delicious! Came back at least 3 times during our stay and we’re never disappointed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a mixture of traditional and western foods, so many great options.

Eat here! Honestly the food is the best around, spent 9 days in the area and loved every second. The food is extremely well prepared, very tasty and worth every penny. They even have a full English breakfast. I strongly recommend eating here and stay a while. Great staff, great atmosphere… you won’t be disappointed.
