Penguin Lake side camping is a very pleasant and classic place to spend quality time with your loved ones. Place is situated right near a lake and is very very quite place. There are three types of accommodations available based on your budget(check out the images). Staff is courteous and very helpful. Check in time is 4pm and Check out time is 11am the following day. Bonfire, Dinner, Lunch is included along with stay. This place is given to couples preferably but the owner can decide to allow bachelor's based on the booking if he can allow or not... which I felt is pretty decent. Food menu is very simple ... if you are a group of 8 to 12, then I would suggest you take the Shipping Container... you have few activities to do in the morning unless you want to leave the lake view. The best time to visit this place is post rainy season ... summer you will bake inside the tin.

Its a nice gateway from the city. A nice lake to go on a walk in the morning. Looks incredible during the monsoon. Places comes to life with all sorts of birds chirping in the morning and at night frogs create a jungle atmosphere with there voices. You get to hear peacocks too.

We went there on weekend. It was a great experience. Staying in a tent was first time for me. It was a beautiful experience. Snacks, dinner and breakfast were also good. And the most beautiful part is the bonfire. It was awesome. The staffs were also friendly and helped a lot. Really had a great stay at Penguin Campaign.

It's an absolute yes to the backpackers week end destination, we were 2 couples and were slightly adventurous, it was an sudden decision to go for a good week end trip from Hyderabad. With a distance of 75 km from Hyderabad and a peaceful 2hr drive or less we have arrived at the penguin camping by the lake side. Thanks to arun who arranged kayaking trip into the lake and it was a fun experience and exercise for all. Later we had a delightful meal appetizing with BBQ chicken and Fish on pre order Over all a wonderful experience . Always prefer to go in winters or post monsoons.

This place was decent enough. It has a decent one day trip. They have a nice campfire and have music options. The tents come at different sizes and prices starting from 3500 and clean enough. They provided barbeque which wasn't good but the dinner was nice. They provide snacks and tea which is cool. It has a place to ride a horse which is 500/20 min. The next morning there is a trek at ananthagiri hills which is cool. The cons are that the place is small and no lake view also

We had a night stay there....didn't find any control on the campers who drank and made mess till 3 in the morning. It's more like a open ground with pitched tents for young crowds to party till morning. Not at all suitable for families or who expects a quiet night or serenity...guess the worst experience I ever had camping..

night stay in vikarabad forest was a different experience.. when we went lake side camping was closed.. if lake side camping would be there it will be another level of satisfaction

Great place and I had a good time. You have a lake opposite to camp's. You can do kayaking. Must tell barbeque is 👌 Friendly staff 😁 Couples don't need to worry you will feel safe and the staff take cares when it come to privacy and they are super friendly. Amazing getaway from HYD. Been there twice in a 2 months with a small group of 3 friends. The drive is very beautiful during monsoons and it’s a fairly smooth road. Takes between 2-3 hrs from HYD depending on which part of the city you’re travelling from. Both times the food served was delicious. There are options for both veg and non veg. We stayed in Cabin the first time and in the Cabin with the deck during the 2nd time, which had an amazing view of the lake. I would definitely recommend it. The staff was friendly and helpful. Washrooms were clean. Overall, worth the money!

This is worest place there no fecilitys only huts and providing food but nothing is there to playing children and just we have to visit ananthagiri hills near by resort . Finally it's not worthy.

Had a great experience here. Very good location with a view of lake. Very courteous staff who arranged everything we asked for.. be it arranging chairs and tables on top of the containers for us to sit and have a great view of lake or BBQ or camp fire. They have also accompanied us to the lake and showed around. They took us to trekking spot in the morning. Special mention for Jagan, the organizer. He was very good and took care of everything so that we had the best time. He is very honest and sincere. I had forgotten my AirPods in the cabin, and when I called him, he immediately searched and found them. He carefully packed them and couriered to my home! Very good soul. God bless.

It is good experience to stay in the tents, cycling and night campfire with friends and near to this place a lake is present and here evening view is nice.And resort hospitality is good and people are friendly they provided good dinner and breakfast. Everything is good

Firstly the pics section with tents camped beside lake and campsite description (lakeside) is misleading.. this place is far away from lake and there is no direct lake view from rooms.. Pros : 1. Huge parking space 2. No crowd 3. Dim lights 4. Economical compared to adjacent resort 5. No noice and peaceful 6. Fully privacy Cons : 1. It's impossible to sleep in tents because of mosquitos and nothing can stop them from biting you not even odomas 2. Reception and staff are untrained Example 3 of staff members were laughing uncontrollable at 2am walking around the cabins. I wonder what was the joke about. 3. Food is served from tiny bowls and looks limited 4. We were not allowed to go to the lake as we have to pass through another property to access lake where dogs were let loose.. 5. No games or any recreational. Carrots and bow arrow were in bad condition 6. Only 2 restrooms for all rooms 7. Very small area where camping is done.. feels like restricted to a caged place..

Best place for camping around Hyderabad. Located next to a lake, the place is serene and well maintained. Food and hospitality of the organisers is really good.

Peaceful and cool. Get water bottles if you can't have regular. Tents are clean but little expensive. Boating and others watersports are charged additional. Food is decent. They have birds and rabbits for entertaining kids. Arun Reddy is very polite and helpful. Over all worth a visit👍

A decent camping option near Hyderabad. Close to Ananthagiri, adjcent to lake. Stayed in a tent. Place is ok, not premium but safe and decent. Checked in around 4.30. They have few outdoor activities, but not well maintained. Cycles available. Boat rides option provides by a 3rd party adjacent to camping site. Would prefer to have more cleaner rugs. I liked the dinner, BBQ and breakfast. Couple of families were staying when I had visited there. Trekking option available about 7km from the site.

We had a terrific time staying at the Container Cabin. Amazing, unique accommodations right on the lake! Beautiful location. Highly recommend!

The place is not maintained properly. Pillows had mould on it . Ants in room. Would have given 1 start rating, but 2 stars for guy named Jagan. He was very kind and supportive and tried his best to solve our problems(which should be taken into consideration by the management) he also took us to trekking, which was good.. and got milk on request in morning for the baby. But property is not maintained at all and not even worth 500rs, for which they are charging 3500 for camping. Barbeque was raw and over spicy. Food wasnt edible too.

Great place for a quick weekend getaway. The sunrise view over the lake will soothe you if not the ride to reach it. Outdoor activities are available too. Staying options are great too. Staff is friendly and kind.

The place , lake view, greenery it was a nice place to stay especially the food was tasty staff were very friendly . They've arranged campfire and music , it also had games like carroms, bow n arrow , volleyball,etc a place that totally disconnects the city make you feel like living the moment with friends

Really great spot for camping and fishing. Far from bustling roads gives you invaluable peace of mind. I visited in mansoon and had a great weather. Look out for forecast before you visit.
