If I could give this property a higher rating I would. We were able to check in early without issue and staff super friendly. Room was incredibly clean, quiet and warm with doubled glazed windows and all mod cons with great artwork. Even better, a coffee shop on the door step. Thanks So Ya, we will be back.

We stayed at Soya Hotel for a month in December 2021/January 2022 and had a fantastic experience ! The room has everything that you could need (dishwasher, TV, coffee machine...), and Tom and the rest of Soya's team were always friendly and super accommodating. The location is perfect: really close to train & tram stops and right in the middle of South Yarra's suburbs full of restaurants and bars, while also being in a quiet and peaceful street.

Highly recommend staying at SoYa apartments. We had a girls weekend away recently. Excellent location and affordable price. The staff are very accomodating. The apartments have a great style and suited our needs. Parking is available and Great cafe next door and easy distance to train and shops .

Super nice staff, clean apartment. Great location: parks, bars, restaurants, shops, transports,… You can get to the CBD in a blink, be right from the door to Queen Vic in a quick tram ride or go up Darling Street and take a walk along the Yarra river banks. Pros: South Yarra station is right by the corner. Cons: South Yarra station is right by the corner.

We were in a pickle after checking in elsewhere to be greeted by a less than ideal room we called at about 6.30pm and SoYa came to the rescue , checking in was super easy and painless. We had a fantastic stay (best beds ever) And bonus points is everything was just a 2min walk away to tones of shops and food and a train station or tram (2stops to flinders!) absolutely awesome guys we will be back .

Such a good location and so close to both a train station and tram stop. This was a return visit and I have already booked for my next visit to Melbourne.

Great value for money. Right next to south Yarra train station (which you can’t hear from the apartment) which makes easy access to everywhere, especially the epic wanders down Chapel St. Comfortable, nice and everything you need. This has become our regular each time we visit Melbourne, thanks again SoYa

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, but it’s not worth the price. You can find a similar location for the same price and so much better. Not only are the rooms not even sound proof, but some of the staff are particularly rude - calling me multiple times asking why we were coming down (We were girls in our 20s - but this is still so unprofessional). The beds were super uncomfortable and a room advertised for “3” people only fits two, the other bed is a horrible mattress that would be comfier sleeping on the floor. My biggest issue is that over 2 weeks ago was my stay and I paid a deposit for two rooms totalling $500 - it has now been over two weeks and I haven’t received this deposit back. I have spoken to my bank and they have told me numerous times that SoYa hasn’t released the funds despite them saying they have; but they definitely haven’t as I have NEVER had this issue before and I bank with a very well known bank in Australia. I’m genuinely so disgusted as it is to the point that my messages to SoYa have been ignored after I called and they said they will “investigate” the issue, only for them to come back with they have released the funds when they haven’t. Upon speaking to a few people, they said they’ve had the same issue with SoYa before, and it took them weeks to chase them up for the deposit back. I just want MY money back and I cannot see why I cannot get it back and that they’re pretending they’ve released it. Don’t even book here, not worth the time or effort to get a simple deposit back.

Tom, Rich, and the team are friendly and helpful. First time stay at Soya, long term rental. Modern rooms, clean and comfortable. Furnished with everything needed. Great location to the local businesses and South Yarra train station. I'd stay again and recommend to anyone.

This is a convenient property next to Sth Yarra station & right in the middle of the action with restaurants and bars aplenty. It's an old block of flats converted into an apart-hotel. Your friends might have lived somewhere like this in the 90s - very old school. Basic and comfortable enough with good tech and reasonable amenities, it would suit a long term corporate stay. Bathroom was very rudimentary and the shower in a tub was horrendous requiring constant adjustment. Don't go for a high floor - the stairs will have you huffing and puffing. There is construction next door and the view is of the train tracks. I wouldn't stay again.

We enjoy our stay here. Friendly staff, tidy and comfortable room. Car parking is also available and cost 10 AUD per day

We’re a family with 2 little toddlers. We picked this place because we didn’t want to stay in the heart of the busy city but still wanted to be close to nice cafes and restaurants and we wanted somewhere that has a playground nearby so the kids can have a place to burn their energy. This place is the right place for us! It is near the train station but the sound didn’t affect our stay at all. There is a very nice cafe with very good pastries next to the accommodation. Most importantly, at the end of Darling street, there’s a good playground for little kids! On the day that we arrived, it was really cold and we didn’t have enough warm clothes for the kids, so we called the after hours team and asked for 2 heaters. The next day, those heaters were waiting in our unit after we got back from outside! We really appreciated this! Also Simon, who was on reception on the day we arrived was really nice and helpful. He helped us carry our big suitcases up to our unit. Overall, we love this place and will definitely come back next time we travel to Melbourne.

This place was excellent. Not too far from the city, with great food options, shops etc. There is also a train and tram station right outside which is great for getting to the city. The apartment itself was really nice and spacious. We had a variety of tv channels such as Kayo, Netflix etc. kitchen was good with oven, microwave, fridge and a dishwasher. The bedroom was great as well. Dislikes The door handle fell off when I was going to the bathroom. The bathroom got very wet and there was no fan. Overall would definitely come back here. The service was extremely friendly as well.

Our accommodation was paid for twice and after 7 days still not refunded and lots of excuses.

Rooms are not sound proof as advertised, could clearly hear kids in neighbouring rooms(who weren’t overly loud), shower/bath water ran Luke warm the entire time, not very comfortable couches/living area and the heater was old and not very good. But, brilliant and kind staff and would be great if I had of bought my dog as the dog friendly room was definitely suitable for a dog.

SoYa wanna stay somewhere clean, well equipped, private and quiet? This boutique block of serviced apartments is all of the above and more. Whether you are staying in Melbourne for a weekend or a month, SoYa provides a comfortable and roomie stay. A well equipped kitchen, washing machine and all of the comforts. The location is smack bang in the middle of South Yarra, close to transport, cafes and shops. Staff are indefinitely friendly and even more helpful. Highly recommend!

Thanks to all the team, but particularly Monica, Josh & Tom

Check-in was seamless. The staff were attentive and accommodating. The room was neat, the kitchen well kept and well equipped, and most importantly, the hotel/apartment is close to a train station, shops and restaurants. I highly recommend it!

Tom, Richard and the team were very understanding of my travel predicament due to lockdowns and couldn’t have been more helpful. Great location and funky apartments. Tom was very helpful with helping me to work the technology in the apartment. An awesome dog friendly establishment. Would definitely stay again!

Such an amazing set up, Richard and his brother are so incredibly accommodating, the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor in the rooms is fabulous, really feels great to stay there. The location is second to none, a hop skip and jump to the best of chapel at and south Yarra. Amenities provided within the apartments is impressive, treat yourself, I highly recommend!!

Extremely poor customer service from Tom (not sure if he is the owner). We were unable to travel to Melbourne with family due to coronavirus border and quarantine restrictions and SoYa firstly refused to return any of my calls or respond to my emails and with our request to provide credit towards a future stay. I acknowledge that we had booked a non-refundable booking however upon speaking with SoYa initially we were informed that should border and quarantine restrictions come in they would provide credit towards future stay only to be completely shut off once we put in the request due to the not being able to travel. Anyway mark of good customer service is not how owners or staff handle situations when the going is good but when it gets tough. I completely understand the plight of all businesses and staff in these times and they should equally understand that their customers are also going through the same challenging times.

We stayed over the long weekend Easter. It's a cozy furnished apartment in a convenient South Yarra location, next door to a good cafe, many nearby restaurants. Friendly staffs (Monica & Tom) and most of all pet friendly. We had our own small courtyard for our lil Rex.

Such a great place to stay, quite a bit cheaper than the 4 and 5 star hotels in the area and the apartments are bigger and better equipped. The location is perfect. The beds are really comfy. Would definitely recommend.
