One of the oldest Italian eating places in Kigali. Great variety of Italian dishes, mostly well prepared. Nice fresh desserts too and good selection of wine (pricey as everywhere in Rwanda). I like the restaurant set up with the open windows with a view over the southern part of Kigali. The place would have got 5 stars if they would have a little more business sense. When ordering 40 pizzas to be delivered for an event they didn't want to give a single franc discount.....

We ordered the food to our hotel so I can't comment on the ambiance. However the tuna pizza was pretty good. The risotto was nice, but a bit bland. It's definitely a place to come if you're craving Italian food!

It is very tasty here, especially delicious pizza, amazing lasagna and much more. There is also a shop selling olive oil, pasta, cheese, prosciutto, mortadella from Italy and they also bake bread. Very nice people work here

Great food and view. The pizza tasted great as well as the juice. Service can be improved. Staff might need to be trained better to be on board with the vision and mission of the restaurant.

Excellent restaurant, tucked away from the main road. Service attentive, nice people (it's Rwanda!). I had the mixed Italian meat selection starter, followed by the grilled prawns. 26,400 with a coke. Very reasonable indeed for imported produce, well presented.

Tried the 'Special', buffalo steak. Not good and $$$$.. Asked for some sautéed onions, none. Said it comes on a bed of Irish potatoes, well it was corn meal mush? No veggies. 25,000 rf. Luckily I also ordered a pizza because I couldn't eat the well done mystery meat, that I asked for medium. The server was no help at all. My wife's dish was described as having tomatoes, olives, etc. NOTHING. Again asked the server, no help. Pizza was very soggy. Not like we had in the past. Should have went to The Hut

Very bad experience. we ordered 3 pizzas, all of them were over heated and very few cheese you may not see it. only chips are good. The soup is too salty.

It was my first time coming here, the restaurant has good atmosphere but I was shocked by how the restaurant doesn’t provide Ketchup (this is sth every restaurant should have) even mayonnaise is given in a very small amount. The staff who served us wasn’t friendly we didn’t feel welcome in the place. I just feel the restaurant should also provide ketchup because not everyone eats mayonnaise only and also the staff should engage clients when someone is ordering and offer explanation in a friendly way.

It’s ok rather than good, and it’s expensive. There is a lot of choice on the pizza menu but I have never been successful with asking to add something to a pizza. If you like garlic, don’t bother with garlic bread (Simplice). It had the barest brush of garlic oil with wide expanses of what amounts to dry toast.

Avoid this restaurant like a plague. The waitress had an attitude from from Kigali to Timbuktu. ( one wonder if there is a shortage of labor in Kigali)Restaurant did not have any chicken, Balsamic Vinegar was light brown (maybe diluted) and full of insects my order included roasted potatoes I was shocked to be served burnt potatoes black, nice view of Kigali at night otherwise What a waste of time and money!!!

Great place! Tiramisu was great, not too sweet. Pizza tasty but arrived not that warm. Atmosphere is pleasant a d service was good.

Ordered online through Jumia. Sadly the pizza was very cold. Usually Jumia delivery delivers lukewarm food, including pizza, but this one was cold. This is my first Sole Luna experience and everyone raves best pizza in Kigali. Sadly I can’t agree. The edges were burnt to a crisp. I, for one, love very cooked food but this was a little too black, even for me. Update 6 weeks later: Decided to visit the restaurant as the reviews are very good and I caught wind of quiz night. My wife and 2 friends joined. We all really enjoyed the food; it was exceptional! The quiz night was also a blast and I highly recommend bringing a group for that or joining one.

Lovely beautiful Italian restaurant, located in a very serene environment in Kigali. Pizzas are great here and the pastas are fab! On pasta, please order what you're familiar with if you're not adventurous like me - I had a funny experience! Customer Experience was great Price is OK

Easily Rwanda's number one Italian Food spot. The environment is serene, with night views of Kigali. Their Pizzas should be added to every person's bucket list.

Very beautiful restaurant with great ambience and well prepared meals. However, a number of menu items were missing affecting the choice of my guests. Also, the ice cream was rather bland.

I live in Europe and have had my share of Italian food all over the world. Other than the crazy long pizza menu (which is a good thing) this place is pretty true to Italian tastes and execution. Wish the pasta was a bit more al dente but I understand that most people outside of Italy probably don't prefer it this way. Their bread is fantastic. Note: the wait time for food can be a bit long but I highly recommend it anyhow.

I went for hot chocolate. Because was first recommended by my friend, but one thing for real they have the best hot chocolate in the city 💯 , I’m definitely going back

Could be a nice place if the staff was not pretending.... No charging points!? Every small pub in whole Rwanda has it!! As real Italian food lover, yeah, but.... The real taste is missing, the extra Italian touch. Somehow disappointed.

Nice Italian restaurant. An extensive menu which includes in over 100 different pizzas, which is a good idea for this small city. Nice atmosphere,nothing much to it on the Saturday I was there. Quiet, private, good food. I had the melanzane parmigiana for main and tiramisu for dessert (a huge slab of which I managed half). Simple food.

Disappointing. Firstly the spaghetti carbonara was one of the worst I’ve ever had - It was watery and tasteless (I’ve never had to add salt to carbonara until now!) and then when we got to desert and requested vanilla ice cream, we were told there was only strawberry ice cream and we could only get vanilla ice cream as an accompaniment to a chocolate soufflé. So they do have vanilla but won’t sell it on its own. How nonsensical is that?! Otherwise it was a nice garden/space to sit in (but so are a lot of other places in this city) and my companions who had pizzas said those were alright…

Great atmosphere but it wasnt packed when we got there and yet 2 hours after ordering, we hadnt gotten our food. No one came by with an explanation or apology, No one refilled the empty water carafes until asked and someone from our table eventually went to go seek out our food. My beef was over cooked and the food in general was not worth the wait. Besides our waiter there seemed to be a general ambivalemce to our situation/hunger.

introduction: I am Italian and I worked in a pizzeria. so, I went there because eager to eat pizza; the food which came on the dish could be good if not sold as a pizza; the pizza dough was sooo thin you almost could see through, no risen pizza bouder at all, cheap quality mozzarella and salami as well. the location is beautiful, the service also is quick and they are enough in number for such a packed pizzeria. it was maybe a wrong evening but some customers were really loud (probably on a company dinner or similar, so understandable) but what of some customers need privacy or some quiet and respectful place? I gave a 2 stars only because of the very nice location. not again, sorry.

The food is not bad, however watch out to go by car because waitresses wont help you à safe way back home by moto or taxi. This is the first time I expérience this on a restaurant. Really bad client service.

Huge variety of pizzas. Made from fresh ingredients and toppings. Has a great ambience and views of Kigali. We only tried pizzas and the house wine. The house red wine is surprisingly nice and worth a try.

Great view of the city from on top of the hill. Huge menu, pasta was ok. We saw the wood fire oven when leaving, so will have to try the pizza when we return. Took tiramisu to go.. and it was light, fluffy, & nice.
