LOCATION
AND
THE
HOUSE:
Very
good
location
-
5min
walk
to
the
main
attractions
of
the
city
(Castle,
Historic
private
houses,
Old
Bazar,
Restaurants).
Very
authentic
house.
Million-dollar
panorama
from
the
balcony.
Very
quiet
during
night-time,
except
Muslim
call
to
prayer
at
5AM
(which
is
-
in
itself
-
an
attraction
to
behold
and
does
not
last
that
long).
PERSONNEL:
Extremely
impressed
with
the
young
man,
who
worked
at
the
reception
(Irvin).
A
student,
who
speaks/writes
multiple
languages
fluently
and
is
a
local
guide.
He
has
written
-
by
hand
-
detailed
suggestions
(with
instructions)
about
the
places
to
visit,
foods
to
try
and
much
more
(3
pages
by
hand).
Knowledgeable
in
about
any
subject
we
asked.
Breakfast
was
served
by
a
middle-aged
woman
who
did
not
speak
English,
but
was
otherwise
very
pleasant
and
professional.
No
trouble
ordering
the
foods
we
wanted
and
no
problem
in
getting
an
iron
to
iron
the
clothes.
OTHER:
Tasty
breakfast
(not
extraordinary,
but
really
good).
A
place
to
park
right
next
to
the
entrance.
NICE
DETAIL:
A
few
days
after
check-out
we
were
driving
to
Tirana
from
the
seashore
and
decided
to
stop
by
Gjirokaster
to
have
lunch.
Did
not
have
a
place
to
park.
Asked
the
personnel
if
we
could
park
at
the
hotel
and
they
kindly
agreed,
free
of
charge.
