Hotel Kastro is situated in a nice area. It is very nice and attractive building. It offers you a good services. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely. Hotel Kastro looks like a traditional one. You feel like home here. It is welcomed a lot of people who like a traditional things.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the Stone City of Gjirokaster!

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the centre of Gjirokaster. The building has been recently restored with meticulous detail (check out the carved cherry wood ceilings!), and modern bathrooms. The hosts were very welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit Southern Albania.

Three of us stayed the night in two rooms. From checkin to checkout, the Albanian hospitality was on point! The location is ideal for exploring Gjirokaster. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The front desk girl was pure charm. I've left my heart in Hotel Kastro.

The best part of this hotel is the friendliness of the owner and the willingness to please, but we can't overlook the smallness of our double room. We could not unpack our cases or both move around the room at the same time. A twin room is more spacious. There was no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. In addition there was no bathroom cleaning and we had to ask 3 times for toilet paper. There is air conditioning but without a remote control which is a bit annoying at night. Wifi did not work when it rained heavily one afternoon and kept us indoors. The hotel is traditional rather than modern and has no facilities. There is a new ugly car park outside which you have to pay for each time you leave and if you timed your departures badly you could pay for 2 x 24 hour periods in one day. It is an extremely short walk to the centre of old Gjirokaster.

Best hotel in town

Very nice and helpful staff, no issues with communicating in English. The hotel is located within walking distance to bazaar, castle and other attacktions, close to cafes, restaurants and pubs. I stayed there in January, rooms were heated (AC with thermostat), comfortable and very very clean. Highly recommend

Interesting new boutique hotel nearby the museal area of the city.

Great place to stay. Centrally located within walking distance of most the city has. The rooms are really neat with a traditional look with updated amenities. Great views looking towards the castle and around the town. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Quiet at night.
