Be very careful using this store or others nearby such as poundstretcher or Majestic wines that are associated with the Homebase car park. We were fined £60 for visiting twice within a set period of time. The reason was to collect a few bedding plants for the garden. Complaints to the council and to our MP, Guy Opperman got me nowhere. So be careful.

Fair range of products but I now prefer Screwfix for lower prices and higher quality items, especially power tools.

I went in for spray foam only had one type in stock, which was a polyfilla at one twice the price for half the amount of normal spray foam. Staff were pleasant enough and the store was clean and tidy though.

The staff are very helpful however my issue is with the management, I witnessed a shop Assistant being told to “shut up” by a manager. This is not an appropriate way to speak to staff in my opinion. They should be called to the office and spoken to with respect and professionalism. Also I noticed there appears to be a huge turnover of staff, as when I have asked to see a particular member of staff due to their helpfulness I am informed they have left, and that is not just one occasion but several. I wonder why? The store itself is good, the management however require training on how to treat their staff.

Stock can be slow to be replenished and can often go back for things like 80 litres of compost, next time I visited none, and decorative Gravel same, not restocked when gone

Helpful staff always have time to explain if you are like me and not very good at DIY. Not cheap but reasonable prices and good quality.

Easy parking and generally have what you want if you don’t have the dine to shop elsewhere. Prices often quite high compared to competitors and store is arranged with a number of small aisles which can make it abit of a faff to find what you’re looking for. (Related items split into different places). Staff always friendly and a tidy store. Main issue being prices

Nice layout of the shop and the opening times are great. The only thing that lets this place down is if you need help with something, trying to finding staff Is like in needle in a haystack. The garden section is okay but it could do with an update as it looks bare and not greatly appealing.
