I wouldn't hesitate in giving five stars directly to the staff. Always welcoming, always professional and deserving of high praise indeed. Credit where it is due. It's the staff that can lift a bar up from being a good one to a great one, and this is a great bar. The pub grub menu is not only value for money, but of an exceptionally high quality. There's a wide range of beers and spirits available. And in short if I resided nearby I'd make it my local. If Michelin gave out stars for pubs then they would join me in awarding them five too.

Stumbled across this bar on a sleety, snowy Thursday night. It’s more shabby than chic and crazy cheap. Staff were friendly and the two tables beside me had noticeably southern accents and felt safe which was comforting. Has a very local feel to it. Would I drink there again? Yes, but probably only on the way to the football

Great local bar tucked under the arches off Ballater Street. Same owners for over 30 years. Great selection of beers. Well worth a visit and I wish it was my local.

Was here as an extra on crime 2 tv drama. What I seen was very clean toilets, 2 bars might go back one day just for few drinks

Totally brilliant day. The staff were great with us, clearly intent on making our event the very best. Never seen so many happy children, the entertainer was superb, 6 hours that guy kept the children entertained so well worth his fee.sharkeys lounge was just perfect for our day and the staff went out ot their way to ensure everything went just fine. Thank to all the staff at sharkeys.

Great food,reasonably priced, The 5-8 karaoke was good,but needs word of mouth to spread.A good time could be had by people who like to eat early,have a wee sing song and retire early to their homes.highly recommended 👍👍👍👍

Absolutely love this pub! Afternoon lunch is beautiful and really cheap.. you'll leave nothing on the plate, da had steak pie, we had chicken curry which I recommend its delicious, staff are super friendly and full of banter. This is our best place to go .. love it!

Service is excellent, and the food is fantastic. Proper pub grub at a very affordable price. Normally, do two mains for £11.95. Highly recommend the steak pie 👌 5 stars

It's good for pub lunch they do 3 course meals but I only had a main of chicken curry with rice N chips. Got a drink aswell there was 3 of us it came to about twenty pounds that's not counting the drinks.

Had an absolutely amazing Christmas party night last night in the pub. Staff bent over backwards to make the night so special. Great food put on free of charge and every table well looked after throughout the evening. Live music which was first class. A big thank you to Fiona, Isa, Peter and all the staff, truly a night to remember ?
