A good bar, and a good choice for a pint or some food. Unfortunately they do have a £5 minimum on card payments, which is really inconvenient if you are just buying for yourself.

Great iconic pub in Waterloo Street, been there for as long as I can remember. My wife worked there in the early 70's & I had my Stag night downstairs in 1975 & I ended up DJ'ing there late 70s early 80s. Lots of good memories in this place. Was great popping in for a Guinness, which was spot on, nice staff and a nice vibe about the place....

Nice traditional bar with vaulted ceilings. Fantastic macaroni cheese for only £5 before 8pm, the three little pigs variation was absolutely delicious. Moretti on tap

Amazing find!! Old looking bar from outside...don't let that put you off! Food was fab. Pizza amazing, wings and hot salty chips fab. Drinks very reasonable plus a wide range of age groups for a sat afternoon which felt really nice. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. When I'm back in the city here I will be going.

Quirky and Scottish. On the pricing scale its probably about average for the city centre. The staff where helpful and friendly.

We went for the star folk club but bought drinks from the admiral bar. Such a fantastic range of craft beers, what a find. Highly recommend, the staff are very friendly and welcoming

This place is delicious. The beer is authentic. it gives a good pub feel and I would rather a pub then anything else around the area.

Recommended on TripAdvisor so gave it a go. Staff were really good and helpful,the atmosphere was great. Was in around 1500 on a Saturday and every table was taken. Sandwiches were great. Perfect place for a quick bite and a drink.
