Saint Luke's & The Winged Ox This place is magical. Great atmosphere and excellent food. I got the wings and the burger. The wings was boneless and very juicy. And the garlic-mayo dip was made for gods. Burger on the other hand was so juicy and tasty. And the frites were pretty good too. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Really cool bar in old historic building, think it also has a music venue attached. Service was brilliant, server was over the second your glass was empty. Good big menu with lots of options on it too. The food was good. The boneless “wings” were absolutely massive and very tasty.

Excellent bar round the corner from the Barrowland. The staff were excellent and couldn’t fault them. Really pleased that we walked out of the city centre to find this.

Great venue, been to a few gigs here in the past. The last two were The Paper Kites and Talisk. The sound is awesome, the atmosphere is great. One issue I have and it is a bit petty is....the bar in the gig venue doesn't take card, cash only....so you need to go next door to get a drink which takes card. It's really not that much of an issue as it's literally a 30sec walk n probably less of a queue but nonetheless I recon they should both accept card.

We popped in for diner and it was quite nice:) I really liked the music and the vibe of the place. The food was good and staff were very friendly. We had to wait a little bit to get our orders taken but I think that was us just walking in and not waiting to be seated. There’s also an outside sitting area which looks like a great place for a pint.

Service was amazing! The guy at the door was so polite and helpful! The atmosphere us lovely too, exactly what I expect from a pud! Food on the menu sound's really promising, but it was, a bit over than average, not bad, but not something I've never had before... a small mistake from the kitchen got resolved really fast, from both front and back of house! Good job, guys! See you soon!

This was recommended by my son, I wasn't a fan of the menu everything had something weird (my opinion) served with it. I also found it rather expensive for being a pub in the barras, anyway I had the braised beef chilli which was lovely but at £11 a bowl I'd expect nothing less, we also had the chicken burger and chips again nice but very chewy, also expensive at £11 and came with a weird orange sauce on it rather than as a dip. Our waiter was very helpful. £27 for lunch for 2 people out the barras is overpriced.

What a gorgeous venue and bar. The house lager is Gluten Free which is perfect for my coeliac needs! The bar space is comfy and quirky with all sorts of interesting decor and a nice wee beer garden on the side. Didn't try the food but it certainly looked good! As for the music venue on the side, it's beautiful. Pipe organ and stained glass windows with a glorious wooden floor. It all sounded fantastic, Rhianne Downey was brilliant and sounded just pitch perfect on stage and every instrument came through evenly. Only drawback was a cash bar so if you want to pay by card you need to head all the way back to the main bar and bring you drink back through. I'd recommend grabbing some cash before you head down! Glasgow has so many ace little venues and this is one of the best!

Dropped in for Saturday lunch, and it was great! Food was good, the staff were super friendly and accommodated a dietary requirement with ease. The restaurant was laid back, had football on but wasn't rowdy. Great vibe highly recommend

First time visit for my sons gig 😊 Great atmosphere, good layout in the restaurant. Good wee night all in 🥰 Enjoyed the outdoor garden and dog friendly . I previously misunderstood the " ⭐️" rating so back to confirm.

Can't comment on food as we didn't eat in! Gutted cos everything looked & smelled amazing! Cool wee venue for smaller music gigs - ideal for people who don't like huge crowds. Bar staff were great & drinks were very reasonably priced

A unique looking venue! Sound, beer selection and food is all great. Thought I'd attach a photo of the ridiculous portion of nachos I got...and yes, I finished them.

It was absolutely brilliant here, we attended the church section of the venue to watch a pole dancing/cabaret/comedy/drag show hosted by so many skilled dancers and artists, though it is a bit cramped for a bigger gig, it was gorgeous and lends well to artistic lighting and showmanship. The food in the bar was delicious and would recommend the chicken wings in a heartbeat. Though I must say I was disappointed when they ran out two seperate beers at 6 pm in the evening...the other beer offered was epic, though, so it evened out 🙌😊 Stunning and tasty place for a chill evening...surrounded by the Barras and older Glasgow cultures, you can't beat it.

We were at Saint lukes for the black stone cherry gig last Friday. I was on the disabled access list and the staff got us in and seated really quick and were super friendly and helpful for the entire evening. The venue itself is small and cosy, it reminded me of ulster hall in Belfast. I would definitely return for another gig. We did go into the restaurant/bar for a quick pint before the show and even though it was absolutely heaving with people the staff couldn't have been nicer and the service was quite quick. Overall a pleasant experience.

(Translated by Google) This shop is a compensation for everything I had to endure in clubs in Great Britain. If you ever have the chance to see a concert here or just go out to eat: do it. It is a quaint "bar" with a restaurant, good WiFi and really open people. The food is immaculate (American style ...) and I was absolutely satisfied. The club is really beautiful and the acoustics are a blast. If I got the chance in my life again, I would go to a concert there again immediately. Great!!! Toll!!!

A vibrant little venue nice food well priced drinks are decently priced to , best to book if you want a table. Sports are available to watch if desired. They are dog friendly and there's always a hi from the staff. They also have a venue for various bands or acts slightly desperate from the bar area. It's right at the Glasgow Barras if you fancy a browse around before your meal or beverage.

I found this venue by accident and was there for a gig. The bar/diner section is spacious with cool fittings and friendly staff. The old church area is the live music venue and provides a reasonably intimate space over three levels. Many of the original features are still present including impressive organ pipes. This part of the city needs more venues and bars like St Luke's!

First time at The Winged Ox for food & Saint Lukes to see Pork Pie. The food was really nice and staff were pleasant and helpful. Had the 10 boneless chicken Wings (Boneless Angel Wings) & Battered Pickles to start. Both were very nice, and would recommend either. I had the double winged ox burger. Very large burger. In the top 5 burgers I've had. The fries were really nice and crisp. Partner had the Sticky BBQ Ribs. The image doesn't do the size of the rack any justice. There was no complaining about the amount of meat on the bones. She said they were superb. Overall very good value and both of us were absolutely stuffed. The gig in Saint Lukes was really good. Nice atmosphere & Pork Pie were really good as usual. Can't wait to come back.

Another great meal and drinks at Saint Luke's. We have now been here a few times for food and it never disappoints. This time we just wanted a quick dinner and drink before going out in town. I had burger and chips washed down with a nice cold pint of Corona. The food tasted great, was a good portion size and at a good price. There was live music playing which gave the bar a good vibe. 10 out of 10 for the serving staff, food and entertainment. Ps this place is child and dog friendly too 😁🍻☀️

One of the best wedding venues around Glasgow. The combination of it being a music venue, the Barrows location, Alyson and her team, makes it a remarkable place to get married in.

  • 4/5 Natalie K. 1 year ago on Google
Never been before. But really enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere, small bar but they stock a big variety of different drinks. Interesting decor. A mixture of very old items that you wouldn't normally expect to find in a pub. Some potentially quite valuable.

Went for a drink and a concert. Small, interesting venue with a good crowd and nice food and drink options while we waited for the show to start. Inexpensive but a lot of fun for a night out.

Great venue for live entertainment, every night of the week, except n aybe when there is wedding on and you're not invited! Bar open late so enough time to have one for the road. The food is tasty and plentiful but you may have phone ahead and reserve a table.

Went a gig there. It was excellent. The sound and atmosphere was superb. No feedback from speakers. The sound was crisp and the sound around the old church was really good . The staff was friendly, helpful and informative. Definitely going there again.

Intimate venue, good acoustics and decent view of stage from back as per attached photo. Small entrance so were a bit slow getting audience in. Best be there for doors opening to guarantee catching support acts.

I loved it, great food, casual gig type atmosphere. Service a bit lacklustre at times tho, asked for the same drink 3times before we got it Brough to table. Other than that highly recommend!

Great pub. Usually go after a walk in Glasgow green. Appreciate that they have a little outdoor bit for smokers / good weather. It’s sheltered and has a heater. Friendly staff (quite a few of them), usually a nice seemingly mature crowd. Have seen sports on the screens occasionally. They also have lots of live music nights - but I’ve not been to one of these. Not eaten here yet, but I do mean to.

Haven't been in a place this cool for many years. My 10 year old picked it cos we could bring the pup and the atmosphere is amazing as is the service the food and the music. An easy relaxed evening with alot of beautifully sang songs you'll know and a menu for your furry family members.
