The service was excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff. I tried the Scottish Tapas. The Haggis Tweeds had a peculiar taste, almost too fatty. However, the other dishes were nice.

Me and my partner found this lovely pub by accident and we immediately loved it. The staff is friendly and competent (they suggested us a perfect whisky to match our dessert). The food and the beer are very good. Check it out if you are in the area!

Loved it here. Could do with some dedicated vegan friendly options, but managed to make a good meal from nachos without cream and cheese, and glad to see good veggie options at a traditional pub like this. This is a private club. The man on duty was so informative. What a great selection of whiskeys. If you ever want to know the intricate details of Scotch this gentleman is full of knowledge. Though you must be a member I highly recommend that you visit for a better understanding of Scotch

Food was five star and the service to match, the team were very welcoming and hospitable. One small issue was the WiFi but I really would recommend this place, the tapas was ace and the fish and chips best I have had in a long time.

Excellent Whiskey Bar situated on George Square, very friendly staff. If youre someone that likes to have that one odd whiskey just to try it, aim for the higher up shelves, spend a bit more on that measurement and take your time to sip and enjoy the experience. The staff will find you something you'll enjoy, just ask them. For me, it was Lagavulin 16!

Loved this bar and the welcoming team, we stopped in for a pint but ended up staying for the Scottish Tapas for lunch which was excellent, we ended up going back to the Piper for drinks after our evening meal too

We have been in the pub after the Simple Minds gig on 6/4/2022. Suddenly the live music played Don‘t you forget about me. My mate from Bergen (born in Glasgow) called the pub to play it. Simply great! Aside this - best pub in Glasgow and widest whisk(e)y selection of Scotland. A must visit. Feels like your living room.

First visit to The Piper and a bit daunting. I called in yesterday to find out more about the band etc. The lovely guy who took my call was absolutely nice, filled me in with great details of the band and the singer etc . He booked a lovely table No.16 for me. I was very happy with the table. Such a lovely thoughtful guy. Thank you to Mr Lovely guy. The singer sung lovely songs. Thank you!! I stayed on for an hour and half I enjoyed every minute of it. Such a lovely clean pub with an amazing friendly staff. I'm not a drinker. I had a glass of cranberry juice and a bowl of skinny chips. It was a lot in a medium sized basket. It was freshly fried that was what I like about it. Thanks. I would definitely come back with a friend next time.

They offer signature single malt whiskies which is a must if you’re travelling to Glasgow even for a short period of time. The staff are informative and nice and the place has good Scottish vibes.

This is a very well run excellent bar just off George Square in Glasgow. Good selection of beers and a huge choice of whiskies. Had a selection from the Scottish Tapas menu. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Very friendly and courteous! The meal was very good and not overpriced. Beer was cold and a good selection of different kinds. The Whiskey selection was overwhelming and our waiter had very good knowledge to all of them! At our Visit we had live music and it was an awesome atmosphere overall. I am really looking forward to coming back!!!

Apart from the range of whisky in offer there is a large selection of good lagers with a limited selection of other beers. It's not a large bar and that coupled with an area set aside for a band taking up a quarter of the floor space meant we left after one drink as the atmosphere was getting claustrophobic.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. They are taking great care to keep a pub that is always clean even cleaner during this pandemic. We had drinks and food served at our table, good food, nice drinks. It is a really good place to visit and enjoy.

Great to see The Piper back open. Went in for lunch on Friday and thought it was superb. Service was exceptional and CoVid precautions in place.

We had a good meal in the middle of sightseeing while in Glasgow for the day on a cruise ship (plus good bathrooms). I'm a vegetarian who hates onions so I'm hard to please, but their veggie burger and fries were great; the deserts were really fresh & tasty too. The salad had onions even though I specified when I ordered no onions. They took away the salad and brought it back with onions removed, but the lettuce & tomatoes still had the onion residue taste. OK I understand, I'm too particular, I just kept quiet and left it.

Nice atmosphere and very helpful staff. Great whisky selection and beers were not too shoddy too (Joker IPA). Food was good and some interesting options - I had peat smoked haddock with mustard mash and poached egg - delicious.

Very good and attentive service here. Had the blood orange mimosa and found it surprisingly boozy and wonderfully presented. Mezze appetizer platter was an excellent sharable.

Surprising menu variety. I loved their ginger and chilli duck served on a flatbread. Staff was friendly and the service was amazing.

Highly recommend this place. I personally ate the "Bar 91 Burger" which is is huge and great of quality. I would like to highlight the service, it couldn't be any better to be honest. Great experience.

Called into Glasgow especially to Bar 91 on our way back from a northern camping trip. We love the food quality and presentation,the bar also has really good drink choices. Michael and the guys always make you feel welcome. Got to be one of our favourite places to eat in Glasgow. Highly recommended.

Well organised staff - there was good safe distancing measures in place. Staff were helpful and kept the beer coming by keeping an eye tables. Limited food menu but something for everyone and food was really good. Prices are also good with a hearty main course for around £10.

The Piper was a neat place to go to for our firstnight in Glasgow. The bartender selected a nice whiskey to try and gave us menu suggestions. We had the fish and chips. The fish was delicious but the coating was a bit soggy on the bottom. We also had the Girder Burger. The flavor was outstanding but beware Americans, the meat is a little tough compared to our burgers. We would definitely recommend this establishment.

Food was good but the tapas portions were a bit small. Next time I would just get the fish and chips. Fantastic service!

We sat next to the fake fireplace and it was really cozy and warm. The food was correct, not great. However our experience was very positive thanks to our waiter Leon: he was incredibly kind and helpful by switching us table for a more sturdy one, and matching our needs. It really contributed a lot for us to have a great night!
