More well known for its food and Sunday roast dinners it’s a slightly different style of bar. Very discreet and low key. If your looking for somewhere you can converse or catch your thoughts I would recommend. Barman very friendly and a homely vibe

I showed up on a Sunday afternoon after a tough morning of traveling mix ups and misunderstanding. I asked for table for one and was told they were full. The look on my face must have said it all because the host said "I have this counter space available if you don't mind." I happily agreed that it was fine. The staff at the Drake, the food, and the atmosphere were all beyond perfect! Thank you so much for turning my day around! I appreciate you all!

Excellent Sunday roast, lovely cosy atmosphere with the fires burning next to us. Staff were excellent, so accommodating on a very busy day. We had the beef sirloin, would definitely recommend as the quality of the meat was very good. Also, a nice simple menu - just three roasts all priced at Β£20. Would definitely visit again, thanks!

First time visiting. Walked past it when trying to find it. I am glad I double backed πŸ€ͺ. Service could not fault, atmosphere not too busy just how I like it (even though owner might not πŸ˜‚). Food was lovely. Only fault. More roasties less carrot and greens πŸ˜‰

Went for some food on New Year's Day and the service was excellent, I think the kitchen maybe struggled with the amount of tables, unfortunately, but the food itself was very good. I enjoyed the cocktails and I think it's a lovely wee pub. I'd definitely recommend the place.

Fantastic veggie burger! There were a few vegetarian options catching my attention however I opted for the beetroot, carrot and chickpea burger. It was not what I expected with a crunchy battered coating to a soft delicious filling in a bun. It was Good!! Chips were fabulous too - big chucky pieces of potato cooked perfectly. The staff were very welcoming and helpful too.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ An excellent experience at Miller and Carter tonight. The food came out quickly and was so incredibly delicious - the steak was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping sauce was to die for! All steaks come with house fries they can up upgraded to chunky chips or sweet potato fried but we honestly...
