My boyfriend and I booked a trip away to Glasgow and wanted to go somewhere for steak. Not knowing many places in Glasgow I decided to read a few reviews online. After reading many good things about the Meat bar I decided to go ahead and book. It definitely did not disappoint! The food was incredible!! Came super fast and the staff were very attentive. Also very good atmosphere. This will not be our last time visiting. Would highly recommend :)

I have had the pleasure of eating here several times and am never disappointed by the quality of the food, drinks and service. This small and friendly steak house serves some of the best meat in Glasgow in a cosy, unpretentious setting.

Updated review from recent visit - excellent. Burgers continue to be top tier for Glasgow and service was friendly and attentive. It was my birthday so they gave me a drink on the house which was very kind and topped off an excellent meal. Highly recommended but it gets busy so make sure to reserve as it's not a big place inside.

A small and cosy restaurant with a great menu and amazing food. Everyone was friendly, polite and incredibly cheerful. Food was served quickly and cooked well with plenty of flavouring. They run daily specials and offers on meals so well worth taking the time to ask on arrival. Steaks are the speciality that’s for sure and my Ribeye was one of the best in the city so far. Dining was not rushed even though they were busy. Will visit again.

We loved this place! The food was super, the ribeye and the fillet were just perfect and tasty. We also tried a cocktail which was great! You can really feel the staff cares about their customers and wants them to have a lovely experience. Prices are OK for the high quality food. Highly recommended!

All about the meat. Choice of cuts available cooked however you like it. Fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, mushrooms, mash. Lots to choose from. Steak was perfectly cooked. Will come here again and would recommend for steak lovers. 😋😋

Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. The food was excellent by far the best steaks we have had. All the dishes were delicious and portions were share friendly. Cocktail was divine and staff were marvellous. A great meal and a great evening out.

We've been here a couple of times now. As the name suggests, it's pretty meat oriented with steaks being the main items on the menu, though there are burgers and chicken too for those who can't face a slab of meat. The steaks are cooked to perfection - I've had signature sirloin and rib eye, both about 300g, cooked medium rare, tender and full of flavour. Friendly and attentive staff too, offering suggestions and help with choosing so can't fault there. It is expensive, but in-line with other steakhouses in town, so not unexpected.

5 stars is used far to often, however on this occasion, it is most definitely an appropriate award. Staff highly attentive! Food was the best I have had for a long time! Atmosphere was awesome! Wish this place was in my home town!!!!

Picked Meat Bar to try somewhere we hadn't been before. It was strange to walk in and find only one other table on a Saturday afternoon. Menu wasn't as exciting as anticipated, we both picked chicken burgers one salt and chilli and one classic chicken non came with any fries. The cocktails were good and they weren't shy with the rum!

Best there is in Glasgow Good range of burgers, always top quality product, well cooked and juicy. Great steaks and side orders too. Service always brilliant and good range of beer too. Great place, always happy to go!

Perfectly cooked juicy and tender steaks. Delicious even without the sauce. I forgot to ask for salt and pepper because I couldn’t stop eating :3 The sides were quite oily and heavy, but the green leaves, tomato, and mushroom were a good companion to the beef. Service was very friendly.

What's not to like: comfy and cozy seating, friendly staff, top quality food cooked to perfection. Extensive list of craft beers. We had the chateau briand for two and loved it. The cheesecake with salted caramel was the perfect dessert. What a relief compared to other restaurants with their standard fish and chips, battered scampis and pizza!

Amazingly well cooked pieces of excellent steak. Service is friendly and efficient. I tend to go for the Rib Eye, always cooked beautifully, I have to be careful not to devour it all before pouring on some of the delicious, creamy peppercorn sauce. The desert are lovely too, the cheesecake of the day never disappoints. If you fancy a decent well cooked steak I recommend here

Beautiful food and fantastic service. I came for a work trip and we both thought it was brilliant. The service was attentive, with a great knowledge of the many beers on offer and picked a spot on recommendation for me (a fruity IPA). The food was gorgeous. We both had a burger and some haggis bonbons - everything was cooked to perfection and all of the food, sides included, was extremely tasty. Would very happily recommend it if you've the chance to give it a try...

Managed to get booked in at short notice by going for an early dinner (kitchen opens at 5pm for dinner) which was really fortunate as otherwise they were fully booked until 8.15pm! They don't have many tables so definitely need to book in advance. We went for the steak special each which was a ribye with fries, onion rings, roasted tomato, mushroom and peppercorn sauce for £35. Was the best steak I have ever had. The food was just amazing and perfectly cooked. The service is brilliant and attentive. Great drink selection also. Looking forward to returning next time we visit Glasgow.

Highly recommend and book this place for one of the best steakhouses, there is an offer inside after seated and the staff will tell you the details. Both the ribeye and sirloin steaks were cooked to perfection, sides, sauce and desserts was tasty.

Ordered a steak set meal as per the server for 35pounds. Food received was cooked to my liking, Peppercorn sauce was my sauce of choice and complements the dishes. Server's are great and attentive (Albeit we're the only ones in the restaurant at that time) but I'm sure they'll be attentive even when full house.

Get your meat sweats on! Went here with my partner for the weekend of my 30th. Everything from the service to the food and atmosphere was top notch. I had a double stack burger and my partner went for the 12ounce steak. Big shout out to the guy who served us dealt with all our requests, even gave us reccommendations for live music places nearby :) Defo visit again if I'm in Glasgow.

Skinny fries were AMAZING. Burger has its own place in the great taste realm. DELICIOUS all around!! Deep fried pickles were great. Breading was great with the added blue cheese spread.

Amazing restaurant. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Call ahead and reserve for larger parties. The fried jalapeños were crispy and had a small kick. The ribeye special came with onion rings, potatoes, and a pepper sauce. There is a good drink menu. My go-to spot any time I'm Glasgow. A short walk from the train station. I recommend this place to everyone.

A tiny gem in Glasgow, featuring 30-day aged, grass fed beef from local farmers, a good selection of craft beer bottles, and a small wine list that perfectly pairs with the steak on menu. Make a reservation, if you can. This place is booked up for a reason!

Incredible! 5star 5pm deal, burger 🍔 or steak 🥩, fries 🍟 and a drink 🥃 for £15!!! One of, if not, the best burgers I’ve had in Glasgow and set in a cool intimate bar with super staff. Great selection of wines, beers and spirits too, normally at least one Brewdog tap available. Highly recommended.

An amazingly find while in Glasgow! A true meat house, where your cut of meat is cooked exactly how you've asked for it. We went for the meat platter, which was delicious and gave us a choice of different cuts, throw in some chips and it filled us both, although there is always room for cheese cake ;) The staff are second to none, and always available if you needed anything, but not on top of you while you're eating. Would 100% recommend and go back when next in Glasgow!
