Friendly, chilled and spacious. Loads of really good drink options. Alcohol free craft beers, sours, tap ales. Menu is vegetarian/vegan. Has the odd gig and staff are friendly, happy to help. A wee bit off the main centre of town so often avoids the crowds. A bar of consistent quality

Relaxed atmosphere and the food and drinks were great. Visited twice in a 4 day trip to Glasgow. The gochujang tofu burger was probably the highlight for me, really good texture and a bit of spice, less heat than I expected but enough to be really tasty. The cocktails were really good too and it's so nice to have a fully vegan bar so there's no need for googling ingredients. The staff were all really friendly too. Definitely recommend 😊

What's not to like about Stereo? Great atmosphere and good surroundings. Can get quite busy at the weekends so can be difficult to find a seat but when you can it's really nice to chill here with your friends. They also serve food. It's a vegan bar / restaurant and the food is surprisingly good. It's impressive what they can make with vegan ingredients and the best thing is that it's guilt free!

Our first choice for food when visiting Glasgow, this was a really great location close to our hotel. My first time trying banana blossom in the 'fish' and chips and I was really delighted with the offering. We also tried the miso side dish which was yummy, and the seitan burger which was a popular choice from the looks of the tables around us. Dessert was a chocolate orange tart with a peanut twist. We had a theatre show to head to after so we didn't stay for the live music but it seemed like a great venue, even if you're just there for the food. Really enjoyed ourselves. I'd recommend booking in advance.

Great atmos, staff, and food. Lovely rustic feel. Food is adventurous, all vegan, surprising, really tasty and fresh. The Chip Supper was awesome. The banana blossom was like really meaty dish or even chicken texture. Highly recommended. Reasonably priced for inner city nosh.

Amazing combination of flavours in all the food we tried, it was so unique and special. The portion sizes were really good and all very reasonably priced. The ambiance in the café was nice, the music was very interesting but made the dining experience more enjoyable. I highly recommend the buffalo cauliflower wings.

Stereo was fab. The service is outstanding and the food was delicious. The only downside was that the music was blaring, so we could hardly hear each other from across a tiny table for two. No need to damage customers' ear drums in the restaurant space! Apart from that, a great visit. Will be back!

Such a groovy bar and gig venue. The staff are all very friendly and the place has a good atmosphere. I attended for a friends book launch and he totally outdone himself 🙌 what a fab evening with some cool cats 😎

Fun, cozy and inclusive spot. Went in for a vegan meal and it was just delicious. The menu is not to big; but with 4 starters, 4 mains, 4 sides and a day special just perfect. (I am often overwhelmed by options, so this way just the right amount). We ordered a seitan burger; tofu burger (special); the day soup (cocos); cauliflower buffalo wings (you NEED to order these asap); and the ramen. It was al so yummy and delicious! Would highly recommend.

Dog friendly. Generous portions. Inclusive space. Appreciate the fact that they are not shy on acidity in dishes. Interesting take of 'fish' n chips with wakame added to banana blossom! You can taste a lot of thought and effort is put into the dish as there's no typical briny flavour in the banana blossom! Location is superb as it's very close to Glasgow central station. Entrance is in an alley so might be hard to spot. Low & no/ alcohol-free options available.

Decent place for some tasty vegan food, Peirogi was nice, didnt feel 100% after the chips though, friendly service and great music genres playing in the background like rock, grunge, alternative etc. Menu could be bigger, with maybe some cheaper options as only got 2 peirogis for £8, they were tasty thankfully

Really loved this little spot for a catch up with friends. Really tasty vegan food, great beers and a good vibe! Only downside was it was a bit loud for a weeknight dinner but to be fair it was busy

  • 5/5 Saiman M. 4 months ago on Google • 86 reviews
Great venue which is off a pedestrian street. Alternative venue with vegan and vegetarian food which tasted amazing. Lovely atmosphere and great place to enjoy with friends.

  • 4/5 Zac O. 2 months ago on Google • 20 reviews New
A little confused in terms of whether it is a bar or restaurant, but generally a good experience. The food is very good and provides a vegan menu that would have you coming back numerous times to try the different options. The atmosphere is basic but pleasant and generally would come back. The staff are very welcoming and attentive.

Had a really lovely time and the food was amazing. My husband who’s not veggie said it was the best vegan food he’s ever had (and I’ve dragged him to a lot of vegan places). Staff was lovely,Nat the bar and our server. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back.

  • 4/5 Jason T. 5 years ago on Google
Nice space and good drink selection (you can't go wrong with Beavertown beers). Cannot speak for the food menu as I have never had a meal here, but the event area downstairs is pretty solid and good for gigs ( a lot of good memories). Bathrooms are unisex which is nice as well 👍🏼

    Tofu Tikka Masala was outstanding

  • 4/5 Sandra M. 2 years ago on Google
I have visited to eat many times and it's great to have a fully vegan menu. This is much smaller due to COVID closures, and the dishes have changed a bit. In my view the food is not as spot on perfect as it used to be, but still pretty good. The live venue is operated with safety in mind and is great for small gigs.

  • 4/5 liza G. 2 years ago on Google
Really lively bar, good selection of drinks and the music was current. Not too loud that we couldn't have a conversation but loud enough to be able to enjoy it! Fair priced aswell and really central for good atmosphere and train/bus links. Only criticism is when I showed up I was on my own as I was waiting for a friend. I walked up to the bar and waited to be served, at the time I was the only one there. No one acknowledged me and soon after a few other people joined the bar, they were served before me (which in my eyes is bad etiquette) Other than that, really good night out!

  • 5/5 Adam N. 1 year ago on Google
Stereo is our go to for lunch mostly, but the menu suits dinner too. Vegan menu that really makes some delicious food. Friendly staff and well priced. Somewhat hidden, though that works to your advantage as it's never too busy that you can't get a table.

Contains a variety of programs, including a cafe/bar and basement venue perfect for a small ceilidh. Well staffed

  • 2/5 Diane R. 4 years ago on Google
Food was nice but service very poor. Waited nearly 50 minutes for lunch with no explanation why it took so long. Most tables food came at the same time as ours which was strange - batch cooking orders?

  • 5/5 Dahren C. 1 year ago on Google
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Myself and my partner had between us the chip supper, cauliflower wings, tacos, asparagus. It was all delicious. The service was 2nd to none and Eevee the server was great. Fantastic!!!!!!!

First time visiting for Dreadzone, absolutely loved the space. Great acoustics, lovely staff and will be keeping an eye out for other gigs here.

  • 2/5 Dominic S. 3 months ago on Google • 7 reviews New
Amazing food, like the best vegetarian/vegan food I’ve ever had. However, the service was the worse service I’ve ever had. The server argued when I was brought the wrong order and said they’d show me their notepad - despite the fact that the rest of my table verified what I ordered. They were rude, refused to split the bill, and generally aggressive towards the whole party. I wish I could recommend the place because the food was genuinely stunning, but honestly when the chat is about the service over wonderful food, you can’t go back or suggest others go too.

  • 5/5 BadgerBoy59 7 months ago on Google
Great venue. Staff were great and the sound for gigs and the capacity is good as well. Could have done with a bit more air con because it turned into a bit of a sweat box at full capacity!

  • 5/5 John H. 6 months ago on Google
I've been a couple of times. The food is great and all vegan, and there are good bands playing regularly. For a meal though it is too loud for decent conversation as I quite like to be able to hear what people are saying when talking to me. This is music in the dining area, not the gig area

  • 1/5 Bogna G. 6 months ago on Google
Really disappointing. I really wanted to love it, the concept and the menu seem really cool. The first time I came there was no table, we were also not informed whether there will be a possibility to get a table later. I attempted to order some food for take away yesterday ( I came well before the kitchen closed, it also didn't seem too busy- maybe I'm wrong) and I got bluntly informed it won't be possible. There was no explanation why as well. I don't think I'll bother next time, as I definitely felt unwelcomed as a customer.

  • 5/5 Charlotte S. 9 months ago on Google
Great food, great cocktails, great staff. Stereo was full when we arrived so we had to wait at the bar - an opportunity to get a cocktail. I highly recommend the chunky monkey if you like a milky cocktail. It was creamy but not thick and had a very subtle little kick. Similar to drinking baileys but milder. The chip supper was the best vegan fish I’ve ever had. The subtle fish flavour in the batter evoked memories of my actual fish eating days. Partner got the buffalo cauliflower and said it was excellent. Portions were big and they had containers for me to take away what I couldn’t finish. There was an issue with our bill which the staff solved without any fuss! Would recommend, would return. LGBTQ+ friendly Only negative was that the toilets were a bit smelly.

  • 4/5 Gigs in G. 1 year ago on Google
Venue: Old school classic venue vibes, decent sound, stage diving galore at metal gigs. Always a good time. Underrated compared to other venues. Staff: Gareth and Amy the security are always on top form. Funny, approachable, firm but fair with customers. Bar area: small-ish bar area upstairs with gender neutral toilets and predominantly male and female downstairs on the landing area. Food served here is Vegan, comes across as a local joint as it's not like a restaurant but gives off a more pub grub vibe but with a more relaxed atmosphere. Good place to go with friends for a relaxed atmosphere with nice Vegan food. Owned by the same people as Flying Duck and Mono.

  • 5/5 Coen De J. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely deserves more than the 4.4 review score they currently have. If not a full-on 5, then at least 4.7+, easily. Lovely, creative vegan food, possibly the best vegan burger I've ever had, great cauliflower Buffalo wings and amazing ramen. Only downside is that the portions were slightly bigger then our stomachs allowed... great work, deserving of a lot of praise!

Saw an intimate Suede gig here, absolutely wonderful experience before, during and after the gig. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and an all around fun and positive atmosphere. Thank you Stereo!

Went to see Crusie Balloon here, amazing venue. Sounded great, and the bands were spectacular. The pints were quite expensive, though that was the only drawback.

  • 5/5 Ruthy Q. 1 year ago on Google
We visited here for 'small bites'. The food was really delicious, and it was clear care had been taken in the presentation too. Our drink order was slightly wrong but the staff dealt with it and were very friendly. Would visit again, as the range of vegan food (all of it) was nice and they had things most restaurants wouldn't (no falafel in sight)

  • 5/5 Gabby Rivera (. 1 year ago on Google
Stumbled upon this place last time I was in the city and had to go back. I had a photo of a drink I really liked and the bartender could easily identify it (even though it was out of season)! Being lactose-intolerant vegan dishes are great to have but sometimes can miss the mark, but everything here could fool me for the real thing! Try the buffalo cauliflower with the mayo – you won't regret it.

  • 4/5 Ben T. 1 year ago on Google
The manager of the restaurant has a great customer focus. Some of the waiters should follow that exemple. Great atmosphere (LGBT+ are very welcome), good music in the heart of the city. I strongly advise.

Random gathering of old school friends yesterday. Absolute chance we rolled into Stereo. We only had drinks in a very relaxing atmosphere. We read the menu and sat close to the service area, and witnessed some outstanding food coming to the pass. Loved the staff, so friendly. Thanks guys, we shall return x

  • 4/5 AJ T. 4 years ago on Google
Like this Bar during the day and it's even better at night. The food here could be a bit more extensive I think there is a lack of choice but this food is worth a try

  • 4/5 Alyson She-Her M. 4 years ago on Google
Really friendly, calm staff ( we were served by James). Food was amazing, would have had more if we weren't so full. Prices are what you'd expect for an all vegan menu, drinks prices are what you'd expect for such a central location. Really great time overall The downstairs gig venue is also fantastic, but a complete contrast in vibe depending on the show. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Good selection of beers and spirits, reasonably priced. Bar staff pretty good at keeping your wait to a minimum. Only wish there was something more to advertise this was the original Daily Record building. Nice wee bar in a quiet wee lane

Loved the food. Jackfish is amazing. Staff in general were friendly and helpful. Only reason I give 4 stars was the time it took to pay. Eventually gave up trying to get the guy's attention and paid at the bar. However I would go back again. Definitely recommend 😀

Excellent food in a good atmosphere. I are here a couple of times and was very satisfied. I really recommend a kind of fake fish made of jackfruit. Really amazing!

  • 3/5 Niki M. 4 years ago on Google
Firstly the staff were pleasant and accommodating, the vibe nice enough I'll be honest, the food was pretty underwhelming and unimaginative tbh, just the same run of the mill lackluster attempt by westerners to try and turn western food vegan. I don't like to criticise without at least giving some help to improve so... The best vegan/vegetarian food I've had is from the The Hare Krishna Temple in Lesmahagow, they make beautiful vegan food and bless it and call it prasadam, finer food you cannot get. If you wanna start making more authentic vegan/vegetarian food that's as special for a vegan as a steak is to an ignorant carnivore, maybe take a look at a book called The Higher Taste based on the teachings of his devine grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. You can get from the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust. I'm sure they have many books on cookery which will be a true eduction. It's a good start. Peace ✌️

  • 5/5 Chelsea G. 4 years ago on Google
Saw some reviews about bad service but our experience couldn't have been better!! We went on a very busy Saturday night and our server was extremely polite and even humoured our excessive chips order (we like chips). Food was quickly made and so fresh and hot. Great tasting food - houmous and cauliflower wings were excellent. Pepperoni pizza was huge and very flavourful. Seitan and lentil burger was fantastic, great combination of flavours and seasoning. One of the best vegan meals out we've ever had. Highly recommended.
