Great place for Country music. The service was excellent and the manager was able to help us reserve a table even though they were very busy due to the live music, even on a Sunday night. We will certainly be coming back next time we are in Glasgow.

Really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere was amazing but It took an hour from us being seated to our drinks arriving, our food came before we got our drinks. I even tried going to the bar to order but the bartenders kept going to the large groups instead of myself.

There was a friendly crowd and lively atmosphere when we visited on Saturday night. We hung out in the Hoedown as there was a guitarist playing. I'm looking forward to returning in a few Friday's time for the cowboy ceilidh.

Very nice pub. Sports bar mixed with rock music. Good selection of drinks Menu a bit basic. Have not tried the food

Regular customers, we’ve been going here for years. Visited today and 3 of us ordered chicken loaded fries. The portion that arrived was less than half what it normally is, the equivalent of one small chicken tender on top, barely any sign of the nacho cheese sauce and literally 2 small pieces of chopped chilli. We were told by the waitress “the new head chef has decided this is the correct portion size”, for who? A toddler? Still £12 a portion and really really not worth the money, this was no more than a small side dish now. If it wasn’t for previous good experiences I would have rated much lower. Next time we’ll go next door to Bucks and not be ripped off.

The staff are really good, the drinks are great but the kitchen needs to pay attention to the dietary requirements. The reason behind one star: the kitchen completely ignored the dietrey requirements.

The food, atmosphere, and service at Maggie mays are always great. There are frequently live acts that are usually brilliant, and they also provide a good venue for sporting events like the Rugby and the superbowl. I've also had a meal there and enjoyed the food. Cocktails are also tasty and well made.

Great atmosphere with a funny fella around the toilets. He cracked me up. Good atmosphere and had a nice live performance during the evening. Only minus point was that the music was too load for my taste. Still recommend it

Amazing open mic night with some great local artists. We were up from down south (forgive me) and wandered in for some pre drinks before the Cat House on a Wednesday. We had an awesome time, the energy of the performers was infectious!

Awesome rock bar diner. Brilliant music and tasty food 😋

I enjoyed my time there. Staff were pleasant, band were good, nice atmosphere. But this pub's "no cash" policy, really ruined the night. I lifted plenty of cash for a night on the town, couldn't spend it. Having to empty the other half of my bank account, really annoyed me. Please rethink this policy.

Went in at a quiet spell on Saturday afternoon, plenty of tables but it was a long wait for drinks. The drinks were delicious but the waiting times put us off ordering more.

I loved the music, it was like my childhood in song. The purple gin is outstanding, my claim to fame is I once sang hungry heart (well a verse of it!) here with the Rising.

Absolutely fantastic evening. Never danced as much in my life. Didn't try the food but the drinks were super cheap and great entertainment. I'd 100% recommend for a great night out 👏🍻

Having been about 5 times now I can definitely say they're finding their feet as a Rock N Rodeo. At first they seemed to play 70% pop with only 30% Rock/Country. Last visit was phenomenal and finally ticks all the Country boxes. Live acts great too.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Great country music, live band upstairs. The place was bouncin. Great atmosphere and they have a bull you can ride! Had the best night in here. Will definitely be back.

Dropped in for a drink whilst out recently. Tad noisy for my liking as difficult to have a conversation with the music and clatter of overexcited people on a night out. Would suit some but not for me. No cash taken only card.

Great country bar with a fantastic atmosphere especially if your a country music person. Food is brilliant and highly recommended. A great night out with great bar service. I look forward to a night where the hoedown is open.

Delicious food! The servers/bartenders were friendly and helpful with confused tourists. The food we got was awesome and reasonably priced! The mac and cheese rivals American mac and cheese (and I'm saying this as a native Georgia girl!) The decor was unique with album covers from a variety of rock artists from the 70s-90s. Very cool place, highly recommend checking it out!

Friday night out with my work colleagues. Decent place with live music. Price for a pint just under £6 which I thought was a bit pricey but it is the city centre. Only 3 stars because it is card only. I prefer to use cash, I didn't have my card on me but thankfully had my phone to pay for drinks.

  • 4/5 Jonathan B. 1 year ago on Google
Great location and nice to get a seat outside, only downside is card only payments. I'm a barber and most of my clients pay cash so this was a bit embarrassing when I offered to buy first round amongst friends only to find it was card only I understand this is a relatively niche issue for most and in no way will deter me from returning. I scored 4/5 as I'm a big craft beer drinker and they never had any IPA/apa on draft. Love the venue and decor though

Nice place to hangout for drinks with live music and band.

Great vibes, friendly staff, and this vegan chicken burger is the best thing I've ever eaten (vegan or otherwise)!

Stopped here for a drink and a meal before a concert at the Barrowlands. Food was good and the staff were very attentive. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

My partner & I used to go there a lot. It was always a bank holiday weekend treat. Sunday evening dinner then Maggie Mays till the wee small hrs, but we began getting turned away by the doorstaff - last time we attempted to visit was following an evening in the Pavillion Theatre. We walked across town to be turned away at the door. Maybe we're too old now?

Welcomed by friendly & professional door staff. Inside the bar the service was superb with a wide choice of great drinks. The live music was excellent to create a terrific atmosphere!

  • 4/5 Mike U. 1 year ago on Google
Mixed late bar with laid back bouncers and friendly staff. The under enthusiastic DJ plays anything from Deacon Blue (!) to dance music and keeps the crowd happy. Some of the clientele can get a bit over-boozed but that's to be expected at 2am!

Went for beers at the weekend and decided to have a hotdog. It's supposed to be black pudding and haggis. Whatever was on it was burnt to a crisp, The hotdog was like rubber. Others had burgers which looked edible.

  • 3/5 Bethany D. 1 year ago on Google
Front end staff is nice. Live music is good. Kitchen served me a sandwich like this. All the burnt was intentionally turned to the inside. What an embarrassment.

A fabulous night with friends at a favourite space to go to. Love the new cocktail menu, but miss some of the old food. We used to enjoy the mixture in cluckin' chicken, so if there's anything we would change, it would be that, please! On the whole, we still love our nights at Maggie May's.

  • 4/5 Jen 1 year ago on Google
Great atmosphere with loud, live music. There are quieter places you can go to chat as well. Drinks are decent and all round nice venue.

I've been to Maggie mays before the pandemic and the food was amazing and so was the choice. Went on Saturday with 29 friends was asked to precooked our food from downloaded menu was limited choice and difficult to order for some people. When we got there the mac and cheese I got was the worst I've ever had.

  • 5/5 Alan M. 1 year ago on Google
Good venue for a beer or live music, watched the football and it wasn't too busy, the live music was great. Prices decent for merchant city, good service, what's not to love apart from the queue generally if you turn up at the wrong time because it's a great bar

  • 2/5 James B. 1 year ago on Google
Prices are ridiculous £5 for 6 bits of deep fried pickle (a whole pickle) and £11 for burger !!!! Mac cheese for kids was made with smoked cheese !! Cookie dessert with ice-cream £8 .... Prices are off the charts.

Booked a table for lunch and drinks with friends. The staff were attentive and we were able to have table service with our booking. I tried bean chili loaded fries and they were really nice. The chili had a kick to it and the portions were really generous.
